Lots of ramblings....

Good lord...just found out I will be working from home until the END of May WTF!!! So the governor says things will start reopening about May 1st...well evenso the DOC still says...nah...we are going to stay away a little longer just to be on the safe side! 

The girl is out of school for the rest of the year! Her mom's a biotch!

The YA was over again and I told him if he's going out to wear a mask - he has an 8th grade education and he is invinsible! There is nothing and I mean absolutly nothing this kid doesn't know! He is the smartest person in the world and no one can tell him anything! Right now...not my favorite individual and I don't care if he ever comes back over here! He went with DH to get a quart of paint to fix a patch job in the girl's bathroom and then went to make his truck payment. Words were said and somehow the YA told DH that the girl didn't like it at our house that she was bored and didn't have anything to do...EVER and she hated coming over here. Funny that's the same thing she tells us about being at her mom's house. Difficult sitation for the girl...I agree but she needs to figure out what the hell she wants and just move forward with it instead of trying to keep everyone happy. Me...I don't really care either way.

I ate pop tarts at work - because they were there

dinner - left over chicken and pasta

i had a kit cat - and a pineapple popsicleI

Slept well - usually sleep from 11:30-5:30 - solid six hours - i go to bed at 10:30 and then dogs are up at 4:30 - saying...YO..you've been asleep for six hours - time to get up! 

DH is an a$$hole right now. I asked him if he's going anywhere - he says no. I was going to mow, but it rained and the grass is wet. He goes and takes a shower - and then says...I guess I'll go out...WTF you just took a shower. So after some words were spoken -  I've came to the conclusion I don't care if he comes in or goes out - I will just stay 6 feet away and sleep in a different bedroom...problem solved!!

Go ahead and vent away! Yesterday, that's what I did. Personally, I think working from home until the end of May is a prudent thing to do. These communities are opening up too soon, perhaps bowing to political pressure, and I believe that we'll see another upsurge, and have to shelter down again.

That's just my 2 cents.

I really enjoyed the quote as well as your words of wisdom up there because they are so true. Sometimes many times the biggest factor is who is willing to persevere longest or push hardest and not who has the most intelligence.... well it’s a factor but many times not the main factor :)

I hope you are feeling better about everything today...

I know it's hard to be in the situation with the girl; they are young and realizing where they can bend/manipulate, or make their own circumstances better. Young people are selfish, and don't consider the feelings of their parents/guardians. Since there's nothing you can do to control that, maybe it's best to take the step back and let it play out however it will play out?

Nothing new - still working from home - well except for this morning, I did go into the office for about 2 hours. Work from home is kinda ok, if I had a better chair I would be Ok with doing this all the time. It did take some getting used to.

DH is still here too - he said he's had about enough of me so I came into the office for a few hours to give him a much needed break. I have come to the conclusion I am a control freak. I just want it done the way I do it. Hopefully he will go back to work on the May 4th.

I received a new puzzle and this one is excrutiatingly hard. I've been working on it for a week and only have about 1/4 of it done - there is hardly no colors - everything is white or dark or black making it very hard.

The girl was over from Wednesday to Sunday. She is OK - she doesn't like online schooling, but she did her work. I tried to help, but I do not remember anything about parabolas - sorry kid! I even tried to google it, and even watching a you tube video and looking at examples I still didn't get it. Why do you need to graph an equation anyway? 

Food - Friday I cooked the ranch, chicken, cream cheese in the instapot - it was good

Saturday - DH grilled steaks. I did drive the truck to Sandusky looking for iced - coffee - no luck. Then I drove DH to SAMs and he grilled steaks for dinner, and baked potatos - It was pretty good. I say I drove him, because I did not get out of the truck. He donned his mask and went on his way. There were lots of people out and most DID NOT wear a mask. We topped off his truck for 99 cents a gallon.

Sunday - I did laundry and we had left overs - steak and the chicken pasta from Friday - matter of fact - there is more of that for left overs tonight too. It is very good.

Weird dreams going on - meteor showers and UFOs.

I will do better today!

I didn't write about this, but I'm getting a little fidgy with my husband too. Maybe it's a sensory thing, but little things lately about him are just driving me nuts.

I tried starting a Yoda in the Swamp puzzle, but it was too hard and I wasn't getting any help. So I put it away and started a different puzzle, which was just completed on Sunday. I'll go back to Yoda some day.

 Thursday I logged off the telework about 1:00 pm, I had a migraine brewing.

Friday, I didn't work...but I had a migraine most of the day so it was just a sit in a dark room, with my eyes closed, sleep if I must kind of day. I think I was better about 2:00. DH left and went to Honey Baked ham of all places and picked up some smoked turkey and ham. The turkey was good and we munched on that all day and on Saturday. 

Saturday we drove a few cities over and went to the great dog park they have. The dogs loved it. While we were there this little girl, maybe 6, she was in the bid dog part, came up to the fence where we were and says..."I have a question, do you mind if I come of there and wear your dogs out for you?" This was the cutest thing ever. DH and I said we didn't mind so she came over to the little dog park and both Steve and Rocco both ran and ran and chased this little girl. All three loved it. Her mom did warn her to stay 6 feet away from us...and she did. She also said she had a mask in the car and would go get it if she needed. This made me sad. But then she just lifted her hoodie up and twisted it around and said...I will just wear my hoodie backward for now. Good idea! She was just so nice and happy. She made our day.

I also ordered some hair products and manicure set for the girl's easter basket. Hopefully it will be delivered before she comes back on Wednesday.

Sunday we ate the Honey Baked ham, DH only got a 1/4 of a ham, it was small and mostly bone. I will use this bone in some beans I cook later. We also made some potato salad - it was light and easy.

Last night, I slept well and even had a dream about playing gold with a flea...don't ask, i don't even know.

The weather is comming!!!!! We are all in for it!! The little girl sounds like a sweetheart.....I'm sure her mom was happy that she as well as the dogs were getting worn out...a win win all the way around...how cute!

Stormed last night. Work people out doing surveys today to rate if it was tornados or just down bursts, they were EF0 - EF1 tornados.

So I have not been in the office regularly, however, just found out, somehow I am still responsible for a vehicle I don't drive. WTFE!!

The battery is dead on the Terrain, this is an ongoig issue. The last time, it was in the shop, they said the Onstar module was draining the battery, so they changed something. I don't know when the last time this car was driven...maybe last week sometime, and now the battery is dead again. Maybe the yahoos who drove it left the lights on, idk if that can even happen anymore because they shut off automatically, but anyway...I don't drive the vehicle EVER so I will make it a point to go and start if every week. Whatever, this is a sore spot for me....i'mma just let it go right here.

We had chicken chili for dinner, it was just ok, maybe I didn't have a taste for it.

We don't have potatoes.

DH smoked a pork roast and a beef something or other. I was thinking of making potato salad. We have canned potatoes, has anyone ever ate these, can they be used for potato salad? I'm going to try them.

B: toast, boiled egg

L: taste of pork roast, bite of DH's drum stick ice cream

D: pork roast or beef roast and potato salad, baked beans

Been keeping pretty busy with work stuff, so things aren't too bad.

I scheduled Good Friday off months ago and I think I'm going to go ahead and take the day off on Friday. Maybe we will drive somewhere just to get out of the house...but we are supposed to get a wintery mix so not sure how nice the weather will be.

It just kind of stinks that we're getting this lousy weather this weekend, starting today, actually. The past 2 days in the Chicago area were beautiful!

Was rather busy yesterday, actually went to the office for about two hours and came home. A report was due and we were instructed to NOT use google drive. Well that's the only way I can access is from home so off to the office I went. There were three people there and they were like...why are you here? Relax guys, I'll only be here for a few hours.

Then I came home and was very busy doing stuff that had to be turned in for the monthly credit cards for work. Waiting on others, is again, the biggest problem I deal with. DH mowed for the first time and our grass looks so lush and green, I think he made a few of the neighbors mow because they can't stand if someone else's yard gets mowed.

B: toast

L: PB&J and cheezits

D: I made chicken paprikash, which turned out pretty delicious because I let the onions really get browned.

In bed at midnight, slept very well. So well I turned off the alarm and was  almost late for the morning meeting held with google meeting.

DH went to get the girl and then took my car and topped off the tank at $1.19. While DH was out, I had my mid-year performance review with my boss again with the google hangout, meeting feature. This is strange. All in all, I feel I do what is required and then some. I did say I was kinda snarky dealing with some people and I would hope that if anyone ever complained he would tell me before this performance meeting. He just laughed and said no one had complained about anything. And then I wanted to ask if I could actually schedule telework days after this is all over, but I didn't bring it up. I can do everything from home now, so I don't see what the trouble would be. 

B: toast

L: sushi from Sam's club. DH said since he was close to Sam's club he might as well go in and get some things. All he needed was deoderant, but somehow he spends over $100.00. We do not need anything from the store

D: chicken chili is in the crock pot.

The girl is over until tomorrow night and then we won't see her again until next Wednesday.

I hope you all have a great night. I'm about to get this work from home thing under control and then I'm going to start adding break times for walks or yoga or something to relieve the stress that is showing up all over my face.

PS I enjoyed my puzzle so much I was having DH look for me another. I can honestly say I guess everyone else in the USA thought working a puzzle would be something to do because I can't find another one ANYWHERE!

When my mom's company had employees working from home (an experiment several years ago), breaks were mandatory. It was part of the software programs. The computer would freeze up for 15 minutes.

I try to get up out of my chair as often as possible. I can always feel it when I've planted my butt for too long, answering emails. Hate it.

I had written a long post and it was lost in a crash.

I had rewritten the long post and it also is somewhere in cyberspace.

Now I'm going to attempt again, but now, I get aggravated at the laptop because I could be in the middle of a thought and my curser jumps two lines up and I start typing in the middle of something entirely different. This is so sensitive it aggravates.

I was working at home and had plenty to do, however, I am most uncomfortable at home. I have also concluded that not everyone is working because I can't get anyone to answer any kind of email...so how on earth are they supposedly working? uh...they are not. 

I sent out two emails out that I needed answers for to the vehicle drivers...only one emailed me back. They other four are "teleworking" however checking email must not be on their to do list.

B: toast, iced coffee

L: cold cuts, cheezits

D: goulash, corn

Tomorrow is another annual leave day, but I will be going into the office on Monday...but I was told to leave as soon as I was done.

They are talking the entire month of April...

DH is officially laid off and will be applying for unemployment...but  somehow is account was revoked and he can't get in touch with anyone to get his account fixed because half the state of Ohio is also trying to apply for unemployment...this is crazy.

Overwhelmed

Stressed

The girl is talking to the kid that broke her heart, I told her that she will have to decide how this kid treats her. Draw some boundaries, she is confused...poor thing.

Tomorrow I will try to do something constructive or mindful....

Join the club...I think a lot of posts just were lost a couple of days ago....and was so happy to see the site back up.......possibly maintenance...I miss everyone when that happens. It's hard to break habits...apparently including work habits......hopefully things all work out with work.....I'm sure it is frustrating.

Illinois is sheltered down through the end of the month. My boss, who seems to have an uncanny sense of prediction, thinks this will be extended.

Weekend was a whole lot of nothing! TV, cleaning here and there.

Sunday I washed clothes, looked solemnly at my yoga mat and went back upstairs.

DH went to get the girl for the week.

Monday  - I came to work to get my lap top loaded up with some stuff

Tuesday - Friday - I think I'm going to be on vacation - I didn't cancel it yet - besides today and I still haven't decided.

Food absolutely terrible.

stress eating...NOT good.

Face looks like a pizza.

I can totally understand your stress eating like I was also understanding donkeys! You both are still working and have a lot of stressors and responsibilities that haven’t ended - I wish you courage and strength to keep doing your good work and to get back on track ! We are always here for you! It’s ok to relax and take a break - you don’t want to see what I do all day when I’m not doing something on my list lol !

I found that if I got my yoga mat out of the closet, I was more inclined to use it. This is what happened on Sunday. Unfortunately, I had to put it back in the closet to hide it away from the cats. So no yoga last night.

sat in on the 8:30 google hangout with my office. Some people looked like they just rolled out of bed. So So funny, no shave, no combed hair, one guy even got up to shut his door and was still in his PJs.

Not, me, I can't start down the road, I'm trying to keep my same schedule. Been getting up at the same time, showering, breakfast and go to work. Or I should say, try to go to work. The more I am the more I find I can't do. I'm supposed to take my lap top in for the IT guy to download VPN and card reader on it so I can access some of my work sites and places I need to go for work.

After I could do all the work I could do, I worked on my puzzle the rest of the night and finished it. It is missing two pieces. One my dog chewed up and one I guess was lost. I got the puzzle from a library book sale so this was no surprise.

 

The YA came over and he spent some QT with DH. I am glad they can talk and do things together. THe YA even washed my car, I don't know why but I'm not complaining because it is nice and shiney for now and will be in the garage for the next two days while all it does is rain.

I got mad at DH because he wanted to run to Sherman williams and get some paint. I told he is the problem. He says he will be OK. I tell him all those people who are sick probably thought they would be OK too. He makes me mad sometimes. And then he gets mad at me for caring if he gets sick or Not. He is an A$$hat somtimes.

It's like he just has to leave the house for some reason. We did drive to my work for a 30 minute problem I had to fix, but we didn't see anyone or talk to anyone. The YA took him to the bank to drop of his truck payment and they brought back Wendys. By this time it was almost 2:30 so we didn't eat dinner.

Tomorrow, I may clean my house...

Tonight, I am thinking of honey mustard chicken, broccoli and some flavored rice or something.

if i needed to be on a google chat video for work, i would SOOOOO clean up a little bit at least. I would NOT wear clothes that look like PJs...i'd wear like fleece pants and a fleece zip up top. people shouldn't not even try, i agree with you!

if you clean your house, you don't have to clean your whole house...i'm doing little bits of cleaning at a time!

keep up the good and honey mustard chicken sounds nice and healthy too.

When one of my legal clinic friend's company made the transition to have their employees work from home, I suggested to her that she keep up a routine as well, much like your own. She might not have to wear a suit, but she should still dress and do her hair and such. As we see each other only once a month, for clinic, she told me at the next clinic that my suggestion was really helpful to her, with the transition.

 I went in to work until about 2:00 pm I had some things to do...boss was gone but I left him instructions on what to do this am.

Got home and when I checked my email at 4:03 for the last time, some whacko biotch from HQ's emailed and said to use specific accounting - WTH...you couldn't mention that on our 1:00 conference call?

So I chatted boss and told him to disregard my instructions because I had to make a change - could he do it? NO he can't...he doesn't know how. I don't have access from home and can't walk you through it, I will just come in tomorrow morning.

Puzzle all night - 85% complete - I should be finished today! I 

DH is home for two weeks. He was either layed off or put on vacation - well we were scheduled to go on vacation next week anyway...so I guess he will be on extended vacation.

No girl tonight - the mom said we could get her Sunday night and keep her until next Sunday - 

I wonder how long this stay home order will last.

No work tomorrow. I will be back in the office on Monday (probably all day) to submit time cards. I still haven't decided if I'm going to telework or actually unplug for a few days.

The frozen pizza (vegetable pizza) was pretty good.

DH went to Sam's club about 7:30 last night and picked up a few things - toilet paper!

B: croissant

L: left over pizza

D: TBD but I'm thinking teriaki chicken and rice or noodles.

And still we survive. I find myself praying a lot more lately.

yes...the whole week. It is spring break for her, we were going to Oklahoma, but that trip is postponed.

I picked up some toilet paper too at my nearby grocery store :-)...now i def have enough to last me around two months? also picked up quite a few boxes of tissues since allergy season is approaching...and i get allergies.

i'm glad your frozen pizza was good...seems that anything i bought by SMART ONES hasn't been very good. i think i'll not be buying SMart Ones food again. Lean Cuisine seems a little bit better...

your meals sound good. You are in our thoughts here <3 Keep up the good work and wow...i cannot believe your patience with the puzzle.
