Went shopping with DH along with everyone else in northeastern Ohio. I thought we got a pretty early start, but everyone else had this same idea. We arrived about 7:50 and didn't get home until about 11:30, it was just so busy, I guess because the 1st of the month. We spent most of the time in the produce, because when you are looking for something and not quite sure what it is...I was looking at everything. Brocollini - no clue, it wasn't be the broccoli - it was by the fresh, bulk spinach. Can't wait to cook it though, I want to see what it tastes like. I was also looking for tumeric, they had fresh tumeric that resembled ginger, but I opted to get the dried tumeric until I at least know what it tastes like and if I even like it.

The girl had a band thing on Saturday, I had plans to go she shopping but the stores didn't open until 10:00, I didn't wait I just went on home. She was tired and cranky because of the orthodontists appointment so we mostly stayed home, it was cold and damp anyay.

Last night I cooked acorn squash and stuffing.

B: oatmel bake with blueberries and blackberries - this was very good

D: TBD but it may be the recipe with the brocollini - a chickpea buddha bowl

Yesterday was cold and rainy and the wind blew and blew. I decided I did want that pizza. So I sat in the parking lot and ordered it....and then my debit card wouldn't work. The other debit card I have from another bank was compromised and that was turned off, so I had to charge my pizza. Seriously?

I ordered my pizza mushroom, onion, spinach with extra cheese and 1/2 with jalapeno for DH and then I ordered cheese breadsticks and then I ordered a cookie brownie and then I sat in my car until I got a text telling me it was ready. I go in and she says, it's not ready yet so I sit. She then says, JoAnn here is your order. I grab it and go, didn't think nothing about it. I get home and wonder why I have 4 boxes. Seems I ended up with 3 pepporoni pizzas and 1 cheese. I call her back and she says, do you want me to remake your order? I say NO, she says do you want a full refund for your inconvenience. I say NO, we'll probably eat the pizza, I am more worried about the person whose order I have. She says, oh, that lady is in the store and we are taking care of her. She says we both had the same first name, that is how our orders got messed up.

So I ate cheese pizza. I brought 2 pepporoni pizzas to work today for the others and the girl can eat the other one.

I also did NOT pass out candy, I only noticed a few trick or treaters, but there were a lot of people on my block who chose not to give out candy. And besides, the when the kids come to the door, my dogs are crazy.

So I made a delicious cauliflower, great northern bean soup. I used the immersion blender and it is velvety smooth. I don't like the thyme herb and must remember not to use that anymore. When I bot through chopping it up, I thought my hands smelled like medicine.

DH didn't get the job he interviewed for...BOO! But then we received an overpayment check from State Farm for over $500 so that took the sting off.

The girl is at the orthodontist today and will probably be crabby all weekend, I know she has a band thing tomorrow so that is some time I won't have to hear how bad her mouth hurts.

Grocery shopping and other errands this weekend, and I'll probably watch one of my losing football teams.

I get home and the first thing I do is sit in the recliner, which usually ends up in a nap. I was just about to doze off when I see something out of the corner of my eye and it is the YA ringing the doorbell. He brought his GF and one of their dogs. We visit, he was over to pick up the crossbow he got for Christmas last year. I had a guy at work put it together and found out this wasn't a recreational crossbow but a real weapon that was powerful and dangerous. Anyway, it has been sitting in our garage for almost a year. He said he was traveling to W. VA and a buddy of his was going to teach him how to use it. That is cool, I hope he has some supervisor, I would hate for him to have an accident and shoot his eye out. It was a nice visit. BUT...his cigarette smoking grandmother had their coats and jacket and even the dog fur smelling like musty old cigaretts and it lingered in my house when they left.

And in the midst of all that the girl stopped by to get her Southside Serpent jacket for Halloween today.

When they finally left I got dinner started. I wanted pizza all day but finally decided to eat the black bean burgers. I sliced up tomato, onion, avocado and a spinach arugala mix. I also added cumin, chili powder and garlic salt in a mixutre of mayo and sour cream for a dressing. This was a great meal and I'm glad I didn't order pizza.

I am not handing out trick or treat candy tonight, I will sit in the family room and watch a movie.

Monday I finally went and had my crown installed...it feels weird, but it is so much better. I don't have crap getting stuck between my back molars anymore.

I get home yesterday and DH had stopped and bought some sushi so I ate some of that (vegetable sushi) it was good. However, I still needed to cook for lunch today, so I sliced up the carrots, parsnips, sweet potatos and potatoes and cooked them up with vegetable stock and added the curry and poured it over the brown rice. It smelled so delcious. I have that for lunch today and there are left overs.

Bathroom phobia...I have issues using the bathroom in public from an old work mishap that scarred me for life.

I went to a work bathroom with three stalls and a handicap stall (4 total) I was the only one in there and decided to poop. Before I was finished a lady came in and made a comment, "oh, Lord Jesus it stinks in here." and she left. I was moritified. Because this bathroom door opens into a big huge room where everyone was standing. And I was thinking if I walked out just then she would know it was me...and then what if she told everyone else standing around the set-up table.....thoughts running wild. So I just sat there in the stall. AND THEN...someone else comes in and I hear..."see don't it stink Nita? I told you it stinks!" They laugh and then leave....again, I'm motified and I swear I sat in the stall for another 15-20 minutes before I got the nerve to leave. And this was before smart phones...so I had NOTHING to entertain myself but the laughter of my poop stinkage! Anyway, after this, I would make my mission to NOT poop in public. I would hold it until I got home, or until I was about to crap myself....for YEARS this happened about 2002!.

At the VA and college I worked for  I would go to a different floor or go to a bathroom with 10-15 stalls- anyway you get the picture.

This place I work now, we have one stall, one bathroom for eight women. Because it is on the back side of the office, I would just run across the hall and use the citiy's toilet...until they moved out last month. They locked the door and my swipe card doesn't work anymore, so I had to use the single one in my office. I go in an shut the door...lock it and do my business, flush the toilet, spray lysol and wash my hands.  I'm in no kind of hurry, so I piddle around, look at my new crown in the mirror, look at my face, comb my hair. And then when I open to do to leave there are two of the other ladies just waiting for me....I'm like, I'm so sorry, I was not in any kind of hurry...and they can smell lysol.

And this all gets me thinking, why do I care so much? Crap stinks so why is a bathroom always supposed to smell fresh and clean? I use a portapotty when I aboslutely have to, at least I don't leave it stinking like that!!

Today...I conquered this and I do not care who smells it!

Now I'm going to go smell up the office with my curry!

Oh one last thing, I heard this and I thought it was hilarious. One of the people that work here a meteorologist - likes to run and he runs through the local metro park. He said yesterday evening he was running and heard a group of people talking about Halloween and wondered if the weather was going to cooperate. He said he stopped running and said..."No, the weather is going to be atrocious, with cold rain and gusts up to 35-40 mph...so it will be ruined., don't go! He says, I work for the weather service, so I know what I'm talking about." and then he said he ran on his way and left that group of people all sad and forlorned. I would have loved to have done that....but then again, the weathermen are only right half the time, so they still have a chance!

I used to work in an office with 4 women and we were all good friends. I used to keep matches at my desk for anyone who needed to poop. It's amazing how it makes the smell disappear.

There is a product caller poopourri or something like that...basically it's a tiny bottle of oil...that you pour into the toilet before hand....maybe an option.

Had a lazy weekend. I didn't leave the house and only did minimal chores on Sunday.

I have signed up to take a 21 plant-based challenge that starts on 11/4/19. I will be weaning myself off of the dairy now. I received a cook book and there is a Facebook group and I'm looking forward to this.

Last night I didn't cook and had a PB &J. I didn't cook because DH said he didn't want to eat anything last night when he got home from work. He has an interview at 11:00 today for a government contractor 2 miles down the road from our house. I pray he is articulate with his words and experience today. I would love him working five minutes away vs. 45 minutes away. He has interviewed before I just hope they like/appreciate him better at this interview. He said eating late at night, makes him groggy and he wanted to be crystal clear during the interview.

The girl has band events tomorrow and Thursday and we will see her again Friday.

looking for a root vegetable and curry dish for tonight.

Just trudging along here.

It is through US Davis - Integrative Medicine. If you sign up they send you a 141 page cook book. There are lots of great recipes. I have been doing no meat for the last two months, it is the dairy and no oil, I will have problems with.

The last few days have SUCKED!!

Someone, somewhere thinks its OK to use my debit card...OMG the nerve of some people - my checking account has the grand total of negative $1,859.62 and seriously....my mortgage is due in five days. Filing a claim this lady wants to tell me a credit will be issued in 5-7 business days. Uh, NO MA'AM this needs to be put back as quickly as whomever took it!! So now it is down to 12-24 hours, I can maybe handle this. Yes, I still have the card in my possession and NO, no one was authorized to use my card and/or account in Miami Springs, FL! WTF!! I don't need this crap.

And then I get on the scale and this is the moment when I just know I lost weight because my clothes fit better and I feel better and the Mother Trucker shows a gain!! Seriously? again WTF??? Sometimes, I'm like why keep trying?

Thursday

B: frittata; iced vanilla latte

L: left over sweet potato/apple/onion and gruyere cheese flat bread pizza (tossed out a banana and a little zip lock bag of gold fish because they smelled like the nasty banana)

D: cauliflower risotto and green beans

I left work and picked up the girl. DH cooked her some ritz/cheddar chicken with some sourcream cream of chicken soup sauce - which is delicious - but I had my cauliflower risotto.

Friday

Received text from Chase about the fraudulent credit card purchases about 3:45 a.m. so that kinda ruined the fact that it is Friday.

B: frosted mini wheat; iced vanilla latte

S: sweet and salty bar

L: left over cauliflower risotto, canilllini bean/avocodo with tomator and spinich on flat bread

D: TBD

No real plans for the weekend - think it will just be rest and relax kinda rainy/gloomy weekend.

OMG...been there and it horrific!!! Thieves and traders....nothing is safe anymore....all we can do is do our best to avoid them and that is so difficult. I also deal with Chase...and they have been good about making it right....hopefully it all works out for you...

We've been victims of account hacking a few times. It is NO fun to have to straighten out the mess that someone else has made out of your financial life.

I'm sorry about your weigh-in. I would encourage you to stick to the vegetarian lifestyle, though. The fact that your clothes are fitting better is a sign that the scale will soon follow.

I got to work early yesterday at 7:15 so I left earlier. I get home and watch something on TV and then I started cooking dinner. I completely forgot about my dental appointment. I felt bad when the receptionist called and was like...hey where are you. Rescheduled until next Monday, I will try not to forget this.

I made a mushroom roulade. It had a little bacon, onion, baby bell, crimini and shiitake mushrooms with fresh garlic and parsley and parmesean all rolled up in a pizza crust. This was delicious. The bacon was very little and just to taste.

I cleaned the kitchen and watched TV.

B; frittata, iced vanilla latte

D: tonight I will make something. I have a few recipes. DH put rot roast on for the girl.

I slammed into a door knob at work today, can't wait for all the pretty colors of the bruise tomorrow on my forearm. There is already a ping pong size knot on my arm.

I had an OK weekend. We didn't go to the spooky pooch because the girl's feet hurt from Marching Band. DH took her to her grand mother's house for a few hours. We went grocery shopping.

So had a little blow out this weekend, got p!ssy with DH. I told him from the start of our meatless eating, he could eat meat anytime he wanted, however, I choose not to. I also still feed the girl meat, so it is no big deal.

However, I was doing bills and ask him how much he owed on his credit card. He told me an amount like $500 and something. I'm like how, we just paid $500 on your card. He says no we didn't. So I pull up the bank register and show him. He says oh you're right. I bought this - bathroom stuff and I took Art (his friend) out to dinner. I said cool, where'd you go. He says Moosehead (it's a bar and grill) I asked what'd you eat, he says Ribs. Ok cool, so you couldn't tell me, you felt you had to try and hide it with the credit card I have no access to. He says no and then he says why are you mad about me eating steak. I said steak, I thought you had ribs? you had steak too? Then he says, we (the girl and him) had steak on Sunday. Ok, but again, why do you feel you have to hide it? You start hiding stuff and lying, I have trust issues. Anyway, it started a big confrontation. And he says, you would have gotten mad. How can he tell me how I will react? I tell him, sir you are wrong. I told you at the beginning you could eat meat, I just choose not too. The week I was home, everyone ate meat, and never once did I get mad, I don't know why you are the exception. Anyway, he lied about it and tried to hide it...and had the girl in on it...THAT'S why I got mad, not because he ate the meat. I'm not that die hard.

We went to the VebBash and that I didn't care about because of the DIE HARDness of it...Don't eat meat, animals have feelings too. Don't harm animals. I'm pretty certain God made the animals for food ergo I have no problem with people eating meat and I'm not going to cram something I'm doing down their throat, the way this seemed to be doing. The girl had an attitude, because she only wants to do things she wants to do and nothing else, so I'm kinda grumpy towards her too.

Anyway - Friday, I had left over bean burrito.

Saturday we got sushi from Sam's club which turned out to be really go - one was vegetable sushi with carrots, cucumber, cream cheese and avacado, the other was something with shrip, it was all very good. Sunday, I had a bagel with apple carmel cream cheese and for dinner I made egg foo young with the brocoli slaw, it was very good.

Today, I have the dental appointment to get my permanent crown put on...part2, hopefully this is actually mine and no someone elses.

Tomorrow has got to be a better day! Have a great night! IP

Picked up the girl and stopped at Wendy's. I ate a parmesean salad which was delicious. We then drove to the train station and road the train to downtown CLE. The concert was good and we had great seats. CMT filmed a segment live for the Artist of the Year award show, it was exciting...didn't get on TV though. And we had to leave about 10:15 becayse the girl needed to sleep because she had to go to school the next day.

When I got home I cooked DH a garlic, spinach, alfredo frozen pizza and talked to him a bit = and then I turned on the TV and the CMT award show was on, so I watched that portion I just saw live again.

Thursday

B: toast

L: left over garlic, spinach pizza

D: beef and bean burrito with rice and meatless chili, avocado and sour cream, gold fish

I'm so glad it is Friday. This week has seem to go on forever...I guess because of traveling.

S: gold fish, nature valley granola bar

L: left over bean burrito

D: haven't decided yet, but will be something light and easy

The girl wlll be marching. DH will be home early, but hasn't said if he wanted to go to the game or not, even though we will have to pick her up after.

Tomorrow we have a Pooky Pooch event and then Sunday after the NOYO rehersal we are going to a VegBash at the fair grounds to see what kind of food/meals/ideas for all the eating of the vegetables.

I will get laundry down sometime in there, as well as watching football.

I made it back from my trip yesterday  about noon, but had to go to work, so I was pooped after getting up at 3:30 to have my rental car turned in by 5:00 and my flight left at 6:30...and don't get me started on airport security.

Don't get me wrong, I understand it..i do. I had a pair of cotton yoga pants on and somehwere the x-ray machine gave a warning area...seriously...i was"patted down" more intimately than my husband gets...seriously this lady had her hands as far up my hooha as she could get without me taking my underware and pants off....seriously now...sometimes I can hardly walk and trust when I say there is NO way I would be able to harm anyone and get safety far enough away without being caught. I'll just leave this here. BIOTCH!! I almost got an attitude but didn't want to be apprehended and delayed so I complied...all hot and sweaty.

I asked for a seatbelt extension, though I didn't need it, I was more comfortable with it. And I didn't die of embarssament.

I had an ok trip...found out some stuff I didn't want to know and met grand nieces I hadn't met before.

My mom didn't understand about my no meat, but on the second day she was helping and I did very good with this while I was gone. Actually even lost a few pounds...about 12 pounds for the four weeks since meat free.

Tonight I have tickets to see Carrie Underwood and I am taking the girl with me, DH has to work. After tomorrow I am going to start with the activity and hopefully this will assist with the no meat and I will lose and get more healthy.

D: TBD - but will probably be a salad...out with the girl

Oh and my dogs were excited that I was back and I missed them too.

Thursday: B: malt-o-meal no lunch D: vegetarian pizza - 2 pieces and garlic bread

Friday: scrambled eggs and toast no lunch, D: cheese enchiladas, refried beans, chips, salsa and guacamale cup of choc/vanilla ice cream

Saturday: donuts, lunch grilled cheese and later snacks, boiled egg, celery with cream cheese and peanut butter, avocado

Sunday: left over donuts dinner: Impossible burger

Monday: cottage cheese, pinto beans, mashed potatoes, green beans and side salad

Tuesday: sweet and salty bar, fruit bar, while traveling when I got home - cashews and grilled cheese

very good vacation eating!
