Black bean burger - no picture - it's a black round piece of clump that tastes better than it looks, bread, salsa, avocado - 440 calories. Ended the day with 1453 calories.

I spent the evening making a quiche - for lunch.

Bad sleep last night as I heard people talking, thought the TV was left on, then I thought DH was home, but no, just scaring myself, I guess. My dog wasn't barking, so this is a good thing.

B: English muffin, peanut butter, raspberry jam, iced vanilla latte

L: quihe (ham, cheese, spinach, onions, mushrooms), yogurt, granola, blue berries

S: balanced breaks

D: grilled chcken wrap or quesadilla - which ever DH and the girl decide. It was supposed to be a chicken stir fry but I don't want that tonight.

Not a lot going on this weekend, my football team has a bye week.

SHould be time to relax, maybe get some errands finished.

Hello IP! It’s Monday but I am starting with commenting on your Friday entry!

Yes, I love the Morningstar black bean burgers too…they are quite filling with a nice mix of protein : fat ratio! And not too many carbs. I used to eat a ton of Veggie Burgers from Morningstar bc I used to be a microwave chef…cooking just about everything in there, seriously! Thankfully I am slightly better now ;-)

Oh, I was thinking to get an air fryer but I don’t think I’ll use it enough? How do you use yours? I sorta don’t mind using my stove bc I do not pay an electric bill, it’s included in my maintenance same $ each month…I don’t think I could honestly use the air fryer enough for it to be a worthwhile purchase? It would be good for potatoes, though, to make fries….maybe I could just do that to eat more potato / sweet potato???? What are your suggestions about the air fryer? Can I cook salmon in the air fryer and is it hard to clean the air fryer from the fishy smell? I do not have a washing machine, btw…this is why it doesn’t look good for me….i may as well cook the fries in the oven, yeah. No biggie.

Your black bean burger dinner sounds so tasty and healthy. Nice amount of good fats! You can of course load up on the veggies, like a triple salsa portion haha…I’d do that anyways :-P…..

Quiche sounds so tasty yum…could you make a mostly egg white quiche for lower calories? And also, you can load up on the veggies in it….like triple the sautéed mushrooms? Do you sautee them first? I love when mushrooms are sautéed and nice and oily in an omelette or side for breakfast yum yum yum! Some might even get a lil crispy just yum!

Do you get hungry after that breakfast? I ask because I always do at work…when I only have my peanut butter breakfasts I’m always hungry in two hours lol. But I still bring it because I love eating it…

You remind me that I can make really delicious quesadillas and wraps too…I have a foreman grill to make them in! Just like a panini!

Oh gracious!! I was fuming mad at work today. I responded to an email with intent to send it, but after I typed it I cooled off a bit and now it is...saved as draft (I still may send it)
This was in response to an email I received after submitting some requested documents for a janitorial contract....
While I appreciate all the work put into these documents (trust me I know, as I prepared them as well), regardless of the countless errors, especially with the statement of work, specifically in Part 2 #7 COR, #8 POP, #9 Key personnel (who even knows this?) and #15 because what to do with invoices if during the conference call it was discussed there was NO COR.

I will use these documents, because apparently the two days of research and work I did to actually prepare and submit the requested documents were not good enough, thanks for the slap in the face.

Now, being a lay person as I am and I would suspect all the other ASA's, except of course for Patricia, who is a goddess, how are we to know to submit all this legal goobily gook when you are requesting a statement of work? Does it never change, are these just form SOWs?  Is this not the job of the contracting office? Are you adding this extra stuff in hopes they will prioritize ER requests, again regardless of the errors?

And my final complaint is...if you were going to do it or be tasked to do it why on earth send it down to the WFO for their input? What a waste of time and effort and I just wonder about all the time that would have been saved if it just originated from ER in the beginning.

Thanks for letting me vent! Please, please don't take this personal - but one can only take so much frustration without spouting off. Oh come on you can take it...you're a New Yowker!

And then on another issue. I have received an email from six different people asking for the same information. Seriously, do these people not talk to one another and/or copy each other. This is just getting rediculous! So for this one time...reply to all just hasn't worked! Again so frustrated.

Ok...just had to releive my frustration this afternoon.

DH said he would make the black bean burgers again since the butternut squash went bad.

We have the girl this weekend. I can see book report in my future.

I wrote the whole thing! Because I was tasked to do something that took me two days to do. I send it to our HQ and then I get an email, telling me to use something they provided instead of what I submitted. When I read the crap they sent me, it was full of errors and mistakes and did not pertain to the needs of my office. It was truly frustrating. And then on the conference call the stupid girl wants to giggle all the way through it, I finally told her nothing is funny here...she said...it is to me! Well yeah, you stupid moron because I have to fix all your mistakes.

My point being, if they were going to tell me to use something different, why did I have to waste two days of my time creating an original document.

Got home and DH was cooking dinner, the girl was in the shower, so I called my mom and talked to her about 45 minutes. Miss her so much.

I steamed some brussel sprouts and then we ate dinner. It was very good tonight. 302 calories - ending the day with 1345 calories.

After dinner the girl and I discussed her book report poster and then I did decide to go to my class. It is called Post crossing and you just register on a website and exchange postcards back and forth. I am excited to get started. The girl went with me and said she might do it. We then went to a thirft store and I picked up a few halloween costumes  - a jester and a giant pumpkin - whichever I decide I will give DH the other one to wear. I also picked up a set of butterfly wings just in case! Then I took the girl home. She lives almost 45 minutes away now, depending on traffic.

I got home and got lunches together and had a few extra minutes to post dinner! Tomorrow's dinner was supposed to be butternut squash risotto, but my squash is spoiled...so I'lll figure out something different to eat tomorrow.

Anyway, here's hoping tomorrow is better than today.

Hi InnerPeace! Your food doesn’t look like a big portion, does it fill you? I am guessing yes because I did eat small portions like yours while in Colombia. I’d usually eat small portions on the go which is better when walking around and doesn’t weigh a person down or make them tired bc all the blood is going to the stomach for digestion! At home, however, I am basically back to my love to fill up so I’m pretty full on the veggies – and bulk up on the volume of my dishes. If you are sticking the potions that I see on your plate, I want to congratulate you bc you have seemed to solve the hardest problem of so many which is portion control.

Brussels are def very filling – I’ve been eating lots of them and cabbage lately. So nice when they are roasted like you did. With meat it becomes very satisfying for a meal and lately I do end it also with some chips or other carb bc it satisfies me and I don’t feel like I’m denying myself that energy source (chips / carbs).

Totally love the idea of sending postcards back and forth but you have to be careful who you are sharing your details with !!!!!!!!!!! be careful!

Yup, sorry your squash is spoiled. …You remind me that like Sunday or next weekend I should cook my pretty spaghetti squash to take with lunch to work !

Yes portion control. This has been very difficult, but it shows me just how much we were over eating. I am eating enough, matter of fact sometimes I feel I eat too much.

Today I was just busy and didn't eat my morning snack and I thought my stomach would gnaw a hole in itself before I finally ate lunch. The whole weight loss thing is brutal!

So another crap day at work. I don't remember having this much trouble last year. I just quit for the day - I can't think anymore. So now one more meeting and I should be finished. I just don't know when that meeting will be.

DH and I walked Steve yesterday, it is strange to see the leaves falling of the trees and yet it is 90 degrees. Cooler weather is supposed to arrive tomorrow. My Steve will be 5 tomorrow...love him so!

DH grilled some pork loin seasoned with soy and ginger, it was very tasty but a little dry, and then we had an Asian tossed salad. 408 calories Ending the night with 1337.

DH informed me he is down to 301.3 - I'm very proud of him. Even last night he started getting the shakes on our walk because his blood sugar was low - we had ate dinner about an hour before, so he had to eat 1/2 peanut butter sandwich and drink some juice.  He said he weighed 295 before surgery, so he is doing good.

I am doing well too, well enough to stick to what we have been doing. The telemove call today was getting people involved...yeah, still can't bring myself to say anything at work, so this is my involvement!

I did send an email to a group that is supposed to meet once a week for games, movies, socialization and stuff like that, just to see if i'd be interested, but no one has replied yet.

YA did get the job and has been nonstopping complaining for two days. And then today he texts DH and says he fell and his knee went out and he needs to go to the doctor. This boy y'all...just don't want to work. He is a lazy manipulating, playing-the-system, what can I get, kinda person. it is really hard to be around him sometimes. OMG.

And the girl is supposed to be over tonight, and I have a post card club I signed up for, haven't determined if I am going or not.

So dinner tonight is supposed to be orange, maple glazed chicken. Will see how this turns out.

B: mixed berry cheerios, vanilla iced coffee

L: ham, cheese, mushroom, spinach and onion quiche, grapes, yogurt

Bummer about YA.....when young people don't get it...someties tough love is the only option...I've been meaning to ask you what Balanced Breaks are.

It is a packaged snack from Sargento - this one has dried cranberries, cheese and roasted almonds. It is 180 calories.

There is another one with raisins and golden raisins, cashews and a different kind of cheese - i don't particularly like the cheese in this one - I can't remember which cheese it is. They are good for an afternoon snack.

Today - not a good day at work! OMG I am so fed up with some cocka maimy crap, I want to go the Inspector General or freakin' auditor or whoever I need to complain to, seems no one I know can help.

One lady tells me to do one thing - and I get error notifications. I fix the error notifications like she tells me to and I get error notifications AGAIN! what the h$ll?

Anyway, last night DH and I started the girl's book report, probably shouldn't have, but we were talking about it when she was over last, and she said she wanted to do it. We just traced a drawing of a van on the big poster board she is going to use. She will be over tomorrow to critique our work. I read the book she is doing so I will be able to quiz her and get her ready.

The YA was freaking out all night about going to work today. He is just an awful, awful, lazy person. And he gets an attitude if he doesn't get his way. He thinks he is entitled and shouldn't have to do anything and everything he wants should be handed to him. This aggravates me and I know I have tons of gray hair because of him.

And then, today it is supposed to be over 90 again, so they closed schools. Seriously? I didn't have my school closed when I went. Are kids that much more important than I was years ago? No of course not, but they are babied and spoon fed and coddled up until they graduate college (if they do) and are carried on parents' insurance until then. And when they get out into the real world they are in for a rude awakening. Adulting is hard and it s@cks most days!! Welcome to the real world!!

OH we had a meatless Monday and DH made spinach and ricotta ravioli with pesto and salad. It was pretty good.

509 calories. I finished the day with 1380 calories. I am happy with this.

Also happy that the scaled moved again and hopefully will be under 300 by the middle of October. I'm so excitied. I guess my morning TeleMove call is helping along with the better eating plan.

We haven't eaten out since August 27th.

B: mixed berry cherrios, iced vanilla latte (DH found another box)

S: yogurt, blackberries, granola

L: tomato, avocado, walnut pasta salad tossed with a little olive oil and parmesean cheese

S: balanced breaks

D: pork loin supposedly, but DH said he might make another black bean burger - whatever is fine.

KIDS....They can be difficult for sure...and I agree..we sat in hot school rooms...but times are different...entitled...yes..we were just glad if there was a roof over our heads and we did respect adults...today kids seem to thin they are the boss. Frustrating! Your meal looks so good again today...and congrats on the scale moving..I know you have been waiting for this event...and it finally happened...YEAH!!!

Good Morning InnerP!

With the error notifications – sometimes our estimating program software (which requires connection via internet all the way over in California while we are in NY) goes offline and/or just isn’t working correctly. We can only complain to IT…and there’s an actual process where we have to actually email the IT dept (in CALIFORNIA!) and then the IT dept here gets the email also and attempts to and/or actually institutes a fix. Do you have an IT dept? This is prob where / who you need to process your complaints to!? Or maybe your office is small…and that’s not possible? Seems not many people know of a fix! Obviously that lady who “helped you” didn’t help you….lol. sorry!

Awesome how you both are helping girl with report. She will do well. And she will understand it bc you are going over it with her. Good guardians do this. My parents always helped me (maybe too much) with science fair projects….but not enough with book reports…especially in high school I’d just read the Cliff Notes versions instead of the books – bad idea – my ability to write well suffered thru HS and college I stunk. And my reading vocabulary is putrid. Just sucks. However, I have improved with age as well as bc I now do enjoy reading! Hopefully this will not be girlie’s fate! She sounds off on the right track with you!

You know – with the YA freaking out – he might have some level of anxiety. He needs help in calming the nerves. I have freaked out also before new jobs / first days / after a long summer vacation when I was teaching….he needs to learn to quiet his mind. If he ever traveled – like I did to Columbia – he’d see how different it is – and how we are all mostly so much more entitled here in US compared to the lives I saw of those in Medellin. It’s so different in other places, I think YA is also stuck in the bubble of his mind. Maybe you can help him see this – in some kinda understanding way. Help his realize it’s normal to be nervous before a new job first day….give him some tips on how to act. To be confident. To not talk back. To listen well before asking questions….etc. To watch how other coworkers act and copy that behavior of the ones who seem to not bring all the attention to themselves. To never provoke arguments or argue with authority. To be respectful of all….etc. and to try to work in an efficient manner / not waste time / be on time, etc.

Oh – I know the YA aggravates you – try not to let it so much…it’s outside stress out of your control. It’s his own personal decisions and actions affecting you. You can only limit it by limiting his being around you – and you can only influence his decisions – but you aren’t in his mind making the choices – so realize you cannot control it completely….you can help me / help influence him in constructive thinking and guiding him towards better decision making – but maybe have lower expectations for him so that he doesn’t unnecessarily stress you out as much!? You know!? I think you choose to give too much of a F#CK about him…and that is unnecessary stress on you…easier said than done, but I certainly do recommend this. Realize you can influence him, but you aren’t him.

Your meatless Monday meal looks amazing IP! So good! Salad looks so tasty! Yum! Being home from Columbia, I am seriously enjoying veggies although today I brought semi-old veggies to work and maybe I’ll throw the rest out for tomorrow…lol. I bought them the night before my trip last week…so Wednesday night and I am trying to finish those before I eat the better ones that I bought recently this past Monday night lol….I am so glad I was so prepared with veggies for my return. I missed them SO MUCH in Colombia but had tons of fun eating fried food (small portions) and having a drink with it every day of my travels.

Man do veggies help fill you – as I realized once I started including them with my food again – I felt my stomach feel fuller than it had in days! Awesome! And it’s true – not that much meet is needed in a diet…I have learned (over the course of this summer especially and partial springtime) to eat more moderate portions carbs, big portions of veggies always…and less meat. It’s so much easier to balance calories by having a nice, but moderate, (NOT TOO LOW) amount of carbs mixed with veggies…and decrease the meat part since it doesn’t provide rapid releasing energy there’s simply no point towards gorging on meat – in my opinion, it can make you fat bc you don’t feel any energy by eating it! !!!! just thinking this now. And that is my true feeling. Eating carbs will calm any hunger or low blood sugar and carbs and tons of veggies work to fill stomach. I still enjoy protein / meat but do not anymore need / want huge portions. When I had dinner Monday though, I did eat a lot of turkey…as I had very limited meat on my trip and I think I was craving both meat / protein and vegetables, LOL….i think you get what I am saying – sorry to drift off on the topic!

But I have more to say – a week and a half ago I went to a fair around here and enjoyed some ravioli myself…lately I am able to do what in the past I could never do – enjoy carbs in moderation! I like to mix them with no cal drinks or alcohol. It’s still moderate and decent calories. I am learning how to eat more moderately – only this past year – to be able to eat more high cal foods but not binge. It feels amazing. I usually do look to have them in addition to veggies – like I did last night with dumplings – had only 3 but tons of veggies so I was so full and a glass of beer…..but that’s good you can enjoy the ricotta ravioli. Life is meant to ENJOY and it’s great to enjoy all the good foods…and it IS possible if we can find a balance…my way of balance def includes gorging on veggies in addition to get that full feeling ….but I also enjoy the rich tastes now, in smaller portions of thinkgs like dumpkings, ravioli, fried foods, etc. It’s a wonderful thing to not feel out of control when faced with higher cal foods…and to be able to enjoy them in moderation and with my quick fixes (carbonated beer that takes awhile to drink, adding lots of veggies).

Your menu looks good – but all the food are so rich in calories! Did you know? Well breakfast is light I see. …cheerios are not high cal and iced vanilla latte is a simple portion so that is oK!

The granola though it high cal….and the avocado / walnut / pasta is very richwith the olive oil and parm cheese unless you had a TON of tomato to balance it?..black bean burger dinnerwould be good and light, especially to eat over a large veggie mix… and your plans to either do yoga or relax sound great.

But not eating out for so long is simply AMAZING! Why would you except for convenience only since you sure cook better than most restaurants!!!!!!!! Go you! I do enjoy your food and I’m so glad the telemove is working out nice for you.

You will reach your goal, you may have to eat slightly more veggies and slightly less of your amazing food. Although overall all, your amazing food is usually in excellent portions and not too heavy. Also, instead of rice filled stuffed peppers, you can maybe stuff them with a “fried cauliflower rice” that would be most awesome lol. And some ground meat? Or egg in with the fried cauli rice? Try to see ways to reduce more carbs for veggies at times…it’l lhelp lower your cals quite easily. I loved your idea of the zucchini lasagna.

I think I missed posting on Thursday - but we had the home version of the Monte Cristo - This is my favorite ever...with turkey bacon and some raspberry jam. I ended the day with 1780 calories - way over my limit, but again it was delcious.

Friday was hell day at work and today Monday I am trying to clean everything up - but I took 1/2 day of SL for my annual smash my boob party at the radiologist. We had black been burgers. I didn't take a picture of this.

Saturday  we were out running errands and went to a few garage sales, I found a new clock. We canceled our YMCA membership, because we don't go. He slept before work and watched my college football team win again, while I created the menu for next week. We made these black bean burritos with the panini press - put refried beans and cheese and salsa inside. Ended the night with 1089 calories.


I ate toast for breakfast and drank the last of my iced vanilla latte. I tried to make the zucchini enchiladas, but unless you have knife skills from the culiarny arts college, I couldn't get the zucchini sliced thin enough to roll up, so instead we had zucchni and chicken enchilada lasagna. It tasted good, but there was a lot of water in the pan after cooking, which was very nasty to me.

The YA and his stinky GF came over and stayed for dinner, this put a damper on my left overs on my menu, but everyone enjoyed the noodleless lasagna. I ended the night with 1155 calories.

This morning was up but stayed away from work for my annual mammogram appointment at 11:00. It was over pretty fast and I was at work before noon. I hate it though!

Tonight is Meatless Monday with some spinach and cheese pasta. There could be a few more bad days of work, and then hopefully it will be over for a few weeks unil the new money comes in...if it does.

I think the YA got a job today. So excited and hope it works out. He said they called and asked him for his measurements to issue uniforms. So YAY!! for him.

Yeah, i guess maybe if you AIR FRY the zucchini?! would that remove most of the water? You somehow have to get more of the water out of the zucchini before baking...it does look good in the photo! yum. Maybe try it again....do something to remove the water...maybe roast the zucchini first?

Did they all love the lasagna!? it's much healthier! way lower calories! Nice job seriously!

It's rather warm here also for the end of September in NYC! loving it!

So as expected, work is sucking these days and next week will even be more awful. October 1st cannot come fast enough. I was so busy today and yesterday I couldn't find time to post.

With that being said, dinner looked nasty, it tasted pretty good, but it was lacking in the looks department.

5 oz. of ribeye, mushrooms and grilled fennel, cauliflower and zucchini. Ended the day with 1480 calories.

Friday was awful at work too.

B: English muffin with peanut butter, iced vanilla latte (I only have three left) and we have to drive over 30 miles to get them, Don't think I'm up for that anytime soon. 471

I didn't get a picture of this. I wasn't even thinking....but everyone knows the black bean burger is nasty looking, so no loss there.

I have the mum festival on the calendar but right this minute I don't even want to go. I think tomorrow is just going to be a nice, relaxing, domestic kinda day. I have some errands to run and a few projects that I can keep myself busy doing.

Yeah, I also don’t love the feeling of being so busy that I feel life is controlling me instead of me controlling life! I know the feeling of being too busy that you even forget to post. But do not worry, you have this, InnerP! Sometimes life is fast, and at those times when it is flying by just remember that those times are not forever…that the speed will pass…that things do settle back.

I have learned to remember that challenging time always pass, for the most part. Learn to know that even though things are really busy at the moment, things will settle. And sometimes you actually have to plan for a slow day – which is what I think I’ll do tomorrow. It looks to be beach weather tomorrow, but I am going to spend the day mostly home – doing laundry tomorrow and getting things under control tomorrow. I hope to go to gym, if my body feels up to it, but mostly spending the day with laundry / relaxing.

Can’t do any more after this trip – better to rest than to continue the pressure of doing everything. So even though tomorrow is beach weather, I’m holding back – and realizing I need mostly rest tomorrow and/or a gym day based on how my body feels. So – I know you have girlie also as a major responsibility, but try to find moments where you can care for yourself when it feels so busy.

Your dinner sounds great despite the looks, the food you made, all those veggies, sounds amazing. I ate hardly a veggie on my trip…and miss them so much. Today at lunch I have them….

Those black bean burgers are tasty and filling. Good idea pairing it with baked beans! Nice amount of protein and iron too!

oh, and the photo of your dinner actually looks GOOD to me!!!!!! Loving all those veggies!

Get home and the girl is there and DH is getting dinner ready. I have told him several times, to let the oil get hot, before he puts the chicken in the pan, but he does it his way. I think the chicken was more like poached and it looked sickly white and disgusting to me. I thought I had asked him to 'grill' the recipe. Meaning take it outside to the grill and fire, but he chose to do it in the pan. And then it was rubbery - and yuck the vegetables were good though.

I had a orange cranberry mini muffin for dessert. Ending the day with 1325 calories.

The gril was working on ideas for a book report she has to do, and DH is babbling and watching Youtube videos about something and they are talking over one another. I had to ask them sternly to be freaking quiet for 5 minutes. OMG they were driving me batty.

DH was listening to the president speak and the girl makes a statment, OMG I hate him. That set me off. Why, Why do you as a 12 year old hate the president? What has he done to you? Don't bring that crap that your mother spews at her house over here. Regardless of whether you like or don't like the president. We will not disrespect the person who has to look out for the well being of the entire nation, again whether or not you agree or disagree with it.  I mean if she would have spouted off some policies she didn't agree with or that she didn't want her dreamer friend deported than I would have been OK with it, but she didn't.

This is from my 20 years in the military. I may not have liked the presidents I served under, but I did my duty and rolled with it.

DH promptly fell asleep in his chair, and went to bed at the late, late hour of 5:30, leavng me with the nonstop chattering and babbling of the 12 year old working on a book report idea. I tried to throw different ideas out there, but I guess I'm not on that level, I tried and I tried to not let her drive me absolutely in sane! Finally at 8:00 her mother comes and takes her back home. I'll have to recover enough for round 2 on Thursday.

Work is at a stand still until they do the last budget sweep, that is going on right this minute. Hopefully it will be completed by tomorrow and I can go ahead and finish for the FY.

I was seriously contemplating volunteering with FEMA and be deployed for up to 45 days just to get away, but I decided I couldn't leave my dog for that long. And then I had flashbacks of the ungrateful citizens we tried to help in Lousiana during hurricane Katrina and NO, I'm not putting myself in that situation again.

And so here we are today...uh, no I didn't wake up, matter-of-fact I didn't get out of bed until 6:00 - with just barely enough time to shower.

I took my telemove call and accidentily pressed 1 -YES when asked if I had any new complications or disabilities preventing me from being active. This response warranted a call from my program coordinator, asking me what is up? What complication did I have. I told him it was an error, there is nothing wrong with me...just my discouragement. He tried to console me with how the woman's body retains water and to be patient and I didn't gain it overnight and it's not going to come off overnight. Yes, I know this...

And I was thinking the program lasted 6 weeks, thinking I am almost finished, but he informed me that it is 6 months...so, yeah, surely I can get with the program with the activity in the next 5 months. I kinda back slid today and opted to have my iced vanilla latte this morning - and it was delicious!!!

B: baked blueberry pancake, iced vanilla latte, mini orange cranberry muffin - 587 - BONK!!

L: grapes, English muffin with cauliflower, brocolli, red pepper with cheese - 375

S: balanced breaks, banana - 275 (maybe - not if I start feeling guilty)

D: is the grilled ham and cheese monte cristo with turkey bacon - putting me close to the 1800 mark - we will see!!!

Missing my family today - feeling emotional - yes...female body for sure!!

Lots of stress going on I see......It's hard...been there and wished that I could just melt into the floor sometimes when the house was bustling and noisy....being a wife and mom has it's perks...but there is a lot of tension too. I didn't know you were military....Thank you for what you have done for our country....it sure does seem like a very ungrateful country of late...When you mentioned your hubby didn't heat the oil first my thought was also...oh oh...he poached the chicken in oil...and then I read on and you said it too...well...at least it got cooked and you didn't have to do it....LOL

having an iced vanilla latte is NOT a backslide at all, IP. It's totally not unreasonable to splurge. It would only be bad if you finished it...ALONG WITH FINISHING A HEAPING PLATE OF IHOP Pancakes, a MILKSHAKE, A PLATE OF HASHBROWNS...don't worry...your latte will not kill you. It's one drink :)

So while shopping over the weekend I decided to get a variety of mushrooms for my pizza that was on the menu plan for last night. Note to self: do not get oyster mushrooms ever again. I hated the texture of these and had to pick them off my pizza. At first I thought a piece of cardboard fell on my pizza but after the second time, I'm like what is this? DH said oh, it is that ugly oyster mushroom you bought. Well, Ok, I won't buy that again. It wasn't so much taste, purely a texture thing.

D: pizza on naan bread - mushrooms, onions, pizza sauce, a little bit of cheese and arugala in balsamic vinegrette - 371 calories

Didn't do a lot last night, very little energy. I did complete a survey for the YMCA and then complained about the rate increase and thought maybe I should go as I sat in my chair and watched TV. And then complained this morning when the scale didn't move. I'm so crazy!!

DANG IT!! I need to get up in the morning. I keep putting it off another day, I will get up tomorrow. I'll just go ahead and decide this already.

Was up this AM and took the Telemove call. Today's lesson: Food Pyramid - fruit and serving sizes. Ok I've been counting 1 serving of grapes and it should have been 2, maybe 3. my bad!!

First off....THOSE PICTURES OF FOOD!!!!! Hey.....right now I would even be happy to eat the cardboard...or even the mushroom...LOL So can you eat more fruit than you have been? Core math? UGH...I hope for alls sake that the young man found a job too...it's a reality of life...maybe he got it.

Friday DH and I made the fennl pasta dish. It was ok. It was food. Still on the fence about this fennel. Ended the day with 1438 calories.

Saturday I guess I over slept, I took the Telemove call, but I cannot remember what it was about, I went back to sleep. I woke up about 8:50 and then DH gets home about 9:15.

B: malt-o-meal with brown sugar, walnuts - 271

L: ham slices, dried mango - 101

D: chicken kabob (mushroom, zucchini, red pepper, tomato), rice (there is 1/2 cup of rice under there), kale salad - 722

S: blueberries, yogurt, granola - 141

Total 1234.

The girl and I went on a walk, longer than usual. Almost 3.0 miles.

I went shopping with DH and the girl and then got mopey about how much money we actually spent. DH said it was a little higher, but not by much. I guess this is the reason I don't go.

We actually decided not to go to the apple festival, because we didn't want to see how the festival food and NOT eat it, so we just stayed home.

Sunday was up for the telemove call - it was a survey after four weeks.

Was up and did laudnry and basiclaly just relaxed the whole day. I did some meal prep for the week.

B: yogurt, granola, blackberries - 191

L: english muffin with cauliflower & brocolli, cheese, grapes, 1/2 apple - 382

D: cranberry pot roast, green beans - 420 (That is 4 ounces of roast beef - a little smaller than a deck of cards) - and it was so good. I wanted another big hunk of meat, and if there would have been left overs, I'm sure we would have eaten it, BUT I only made enough, so this wouldn't happen.

S: orange cranberry mini muffin - 142

Total for Sunday : 1135

Again, the scale is a B@tch and shows nothing of my effort. This morning, I'm like, why keep trying. This feeling! This is why people quit time and time again! the body is a wicked machine! So aggrivated right now as I'm munching on grapes, instead of a donut!

Anyway, I will persevere!
