I haven't seen so many people post in one day before! So great!

This morning I was up at 4:45. I did my 25 minute run. I was so happy I finished. The weather was perfect, a cool 60 degrees. Thursday I have an appointment for blood work...hopefully this will be better than last time.

Dinner last night was pork chops, baked carrots with parmasean and garlic and a big salad. Ended the day with 1682 calories.

Tonight DH and I are going our for an anniversary, which is tomorrow actually, but since we have the girl we decided to go tonight. We are going to Red Lobster so I need to steer clear of the cheddar biscuits, I do htink I want a mixed drink that is pretty though or a beer. I haven't had one in a long, long time, I guess I'll wait on this because of the blood work on Thursday.

Work is crap today; I have to sit through a seminar and hope I don't fall asleep.

Friday I left work early just because I wanted to lay in bed with DH and snuggle. I miss him. I can't even remember what we had for dinner. DH left at 10:30 and I was alone.

I did make it up at 6:00 and went for my run, Note to Self: Do not wait four days between runs. OMG I thought I would die. I did finish though. I usually run Sunday morning, glad I didn't wait the extra day or I might not have. Tomorrow it will be the 25 minute run and then I should be finished next Tuesday. I have decided to take the girl on a short road trip with a work thing added in. We will leave next Tuesday morning drive to Buffalo visit the weather office there and then go to Niagara Falls. I've never been and looking forward to it. Wednesday we are driving to Binghamton, NY to visit another weather office and going to visit April the Giraffe at the Animal Adventure Park. I watched this giraffe for over a month. On the way home we are stopping at State College, PA and visiting another weather office and then coming home. Maybe stop in Pittsburge too, depending on time, if not come home. DH has to work and has already been to Niagara Falls and didn't care about seeing the giraffe so we are going to try to go by ourself. We got a room at the Air Reserve Center in Niagara so that is a lesser cost than expected.

work is crap this week making it longer than it should be, especially since I have vacation next week.

Saturday - DH and I went to a Cheese festival - I was almost talked into getting a replacement knife for my Cutco set, but DH said no. Afterwards he went to bed and I watched TV. Sunday about the same - DH went shopping I stayed home and washed clothes and did the house cleaning. It is still not clean enough.

today is, well Monday and I would rather be home. So here's to my 25 minute run tomorrow and hoping it isn't raining again.

Hiiii IP!,

Awwww you very bad girl to leave work just to be with your man….HOW CUTE! How I wish to do this with the man that I really like….he’s been running like there’s a huge fire away from me…but I have no cares bc I really do believe that one day he will see me again :-P I really do. Don’t mind me…enough about me. But one thing – whenever I am with my current “friends with benefits man who is nearly twice my age almost! – who I am not completely attracted to but is a nice balance to my personality I’d say – I think of the man I truly like….and hate that I cannot be with him. but perhaps one day as right now I’m learning a lot being with this particular man :-P and even though we’re not meant to be together in the long run, I’m learning a bit about relationships and communication from this guy as also this guy shows me around all of our neighborhood and surrounding nyc areas….i’ve learned so much and been to so many places bc of my current “man in my life” it works out SO WELL. so well right now. but he’s a smoker and money is a bit too tight for him – and he has some anger issues but not towards me – but these are reasons it cannot work for long run. But good for now….ok I’m done about me now!...

Really it wasn’t good to wait some extra time between runs? Lately if I’ve been training well and not skipping, when I take time off gym (not anymore bc now I always skip a day so it’s very difficult) but when I was very structured and then took a day or two more off, I’d come back with more energy and stronger! I think it may have been a mental block you were batting – a mental obstacle with doing this run…don’t worry. You CAN get thru these…you’ve been training!

Are you going to both sides of the Niagara falls? I’ve only been to the Canadian side bc I was visiting someone from Toronto and HE didn’t have a passport to join me on the NY side so I didn’t go alone duh! No more time anyways on that trip! The views are totally different but I hope you get to see the falls from the Canadian side bc that’s the better view!

Oh wow….you are going to see the Giraffe that gave birth!? Haha…better you than me! I am also uninterested in the giraffe. Why are you going to the weather stations??...that’s your work right??

I’m SO GLAD you didn’t get the knife at the cheese show! OMG thank gosh I wasn’t there….all I need is ample servings of cheese lol. it’s so bad but so good….so I simply stay away almost always.

Go enjoy your run…I do not run again until Wednesday assuming it doesn’t rain! And if it does, I’ll go to the gym…no more days can be skipped anymore for me….2x a week for the rest of the summer! In September I may move to 3x and take a month off the gym. For the academy, I need to run. Hopefully I can get by actually with just 2x a week training? What’s your training?

I know exactly what you are talking about. I pined for a guy and basically waited 15 years for a guy. It took four years of therapy to quit hoping this relationship would work out. Apparently it was all one sided. To this day I still think of the would've, could've and should've. It took me a long, long time to get it through my head that this person just did not want to make sacrifices in his life to be with me. He could say he loved me everyday all day, but when it came right down to it...actions speak louder than words. The straw that broke the camel's back is...we were scheduled to go on a 5 day cruise to the Bahamas - leaving from Charleston, SC. Two days before the cruise was to leave, he calls me to say he can't go! Seriously? He tells me that his daughter was raped and he had to stay back and tend to things. I never got confirmation if that story was true or not. But anyway, that is not the first time he left me hanging...may be like the 3rd. The first time I flew from Hawaii to drop my son off to his dad and told him I would be in the area...he says I have to drive to Michigan and do something. Again..seriously you couldn't have seen your son on a weekend I wasn't coming....Anyway I'm telling you - don't waste anymore of your time on your PT man! He doesn't want to be with you. If he did, he would.

That is how I got to be in Ohio. This man wants to be with me every day, all day and stops by my work each morning on the way home because he didn't get to fix my breakfast. This man will bend over backwards and go out of his way to get me things and ensure I'm happy and/or comfortable. He tells me all the time, I am the the greatest thing in his life. THIS...this is what you need! Find a man who cherishes you and loves you and wants to take care of you.

I'm not saying don't have fun, do that, but look for someone who deserves you and makes you happy!

I am using the couch to 5K training app on my phone. I started off running 1 minute and walking one minute for six intervals. That increased to eight intervals and then the time started increases to longer run and walk intervals. I am finished with the intervals and now I am at the 25 minute run. I have no more walk intervals. This morning I ran/jogged for 25 minutes straight! I was so proud of myself. I am not the fasted, but I kept going for 25 minutes straight! Now the app just increases for the next week the times are 28, 30 and 35 minutes of running and then I will be finished. I should be able to run a 5K, but I think I am just really super slow. Hopefully the speed with eventually catch up and/or I will lose some weight and get speedier.

I was pleased nothing on my body hurt hurt this morning and the weather was I think 60 degrees which was the idea weather for me. Sorry to rant on. Have a great day! IP

My parents took me to niagara falls when I was 4 and I grabbed hold of a railing and swung out over some deep cement 50 foot drop....ruined the trip for them....and add to the excitement on the way to the car I got a nosebleed that wouldn't stop so we had to go to the dr and get my nose packed....I was a barrel of laughs...lucky that they ever took me o another vacation after that one...LOL

Tuesday didn't jog because it was raining. So for the weirdest story ever!

I am paranoid, I trust no one! I have mentioned this before several times. I would get up and be outside running by 4:50 a.m. I would encounter a person once in a great while. I would say good morning and move on. i was OK with this.

Last night DH and I made chicken alfreado with brocoli and cauliflower (this is what the girl wanted). After dinner we chit chatted. the YA and his GF came over. Soon the girl left, DH went to bed and then the YA and GF left. As usual I woke DH up at 10:45 and he was gone by 11:15 and I went to bed.

I was alseep! sound asleep and sleeping good when my phone rang. It was my DH telling me to unlock the door for YA because there was an armed robber outside in my neighborhood. What? you don't tell me this at 12:45 in the morning. He kept asking me if I was there? Are you there? Yes I'm here. I am shaking with terror and I couldn't figure out what to do or where to go. My heart was pounding, I was breathing hard like I just ran a mile sprint (which is funny because I can't even do that...but still). I try to find my glasses and then go down stairs and turn on the porch light and ensure the drapes are closed so no one can see inside. I wait. And then I think - oh great the robber is now probably in the tent that is still up in the back yard.

I still have no clue what is going on and my DH calls again and tells me to open the door because YA is outside. I look and he is standing on the porch and I let him in. He tells me that it is a police chase. Two people robbed someone and stole a car and was heading our way. But before they got to our neighbor hood they wrecked the car and was now on foot. The police were using dogs and helicoptors with heat seeking instruments to find them. They were considered armed and dangerous and everyone should stay in their house and let the police do their jobs! OK well...I was asleep!

DH said YA called and said he was concerned about me, because my house is in the direction they were running on foot, so he took it upon himself to drive over and spend the night with me. Which I am so very greatful....but now I'm afraid to leave my house again! OMG I just can't function. I was doing so well and now this!

DH had a hard time putting on his work pants last night!! He said he would quit eating sweets now, he doesn't want a bigger pair of pants.

YA is concerned he is having side affects from his medication.I told him to call the nurseline I do not even know what to tell him. He is seeing a therapist HOP, I think every other week. The therapist cannot prescribe the medication. The YA left shortly before I did this morning to go back to his GMa's house. I said thank you for coming over.

So this morning I did not get up to run/jog because A. I was terrified,  B. It was raining, C. A combination of both A and B or D. I was just being lazy....The answer is.....C.

I will see how tomorrow goes! I have heard on the radio that one of the men was apprehended and that helps. The sad thing, the radio said they were just 19 year old boys. Boys? ok whatever!

B: toast, iced coffee

L: left over alfredo noodles, cheezits, balanced breaks, pop tarts

D: I dont' know, DH said he was making roast, carrots and salad.

Well Hello, IP!

I might as well write to you more since I have still 10 minutes left at this job today and that would DEFINITELY be the MOST PRODUCTIVE and BEST use of my time! ….i hope no offense is taken lol….I obviously enjoy DD enough to want to come here in my free time, especially at work ! So…I’ll make a second comment to you today!

Just take your phone with you when you go running. Don’t stop.

As for YA, make sure he takes the medicine so his anxiety level goes down. If he doesn’t take it, he’ll not get back on an even keel towards feeling better. TRUST me. The medication will make him think straighter and help him towards getting back on a better path. And he must talk to the therapist too – good.

It sure is a scary world out there these days, we are all feeling it, I also let those kinds of things affect rather or not I want to go out, I guess food is always there and it seems innocent enough but NOt really....we hurt ourselves with it too. It's important for us to keep our eyes on the prize.

DH did not make the salmon - he opted for salisbuy steak instead. And the idget bought ice cream. Ending the night with 1722.

I was concerned about the YA so I made him an appointment. He got in to talk to the doctor at 4:00 and she told him he was depressed and had anxiety and gave him a pill. He is supposed to go back in a month to see if it is helping.

I think he does this crap to himself. His new girlfriend has him helping her and her mother move and they fight and argue. Of course the YA thinks his duty to assist and help in every way he can. Last night they were over to borrow a drill and the GF said she was arguing with her 16 yo sister who had called her a sl^t. OMG, anyway they left and then I got a text asking me if they can set up the tent in the back yard. Well OK, but why? Well the GF didn't want to be around her sister so hey we'll came in the back yard....i have two spare bedrooms....he is nuts!

They get the tent set up and ten minutes later it is pourind down rain. Needless to say, they ended up in the bedroom...with his dog! Crazy kids. Dh was badgering me about why I agreed to let them do that...well, they are 18 and 19, let them have fun. Whose it hurting, no one, just imposing on my sleep.

It was still raining this a.m., so I will try to run in the morning to get that finished.. We do have the girl tonight for a few hours.

I just snacked today at work, I didn't make my lunch.

B: toast

L: cheezits, plum, yogurt, balanced breaks (all through the day)

D: chicken and something - the girl said she wanted chicken alfredo, we will see.

Hiiii IP!

Sometimes with these pills, it can take up to 6 weeks for full effect. HE MUST TAKE THEM so that they start to have the cumulative days effect and they work. MAKE SURE he takes them – have DH check in please.

I know this from personal experience. YA needs more than pills though. He needs to talk to a trained professional like 1x per week – for sure. He needs outside help to deal with his issues. Yes, YA and his GF are still so young and need a LOT of growing up to do – this is how it sounds. YES.

Great cals and keep on doing your jogging. This is the first time I haven’t read about your jogging in an entry! I hope it’s going great!

Busy, busy! Friday night we went to the local diner. I had a French Dip sandwich ended the day with 1682 calories.

Saturday we went to the flea market and walked around. I am in search of clocks. I want a wall full of clocks. I found three, but really didn't care for any of them. We left with the girl another fidget spinner, zucchini and tomatoes.

We then drove about 30 miles to Huron, OH and attended the Huron River Fest. It was very pleasant out and we had a great time. Lots of boats and carnival festival stuff. Here is a picture, my hair is pulled back, but I can see I have lost some weight. Eventhough after walking around the flea market  and then the festival, my hands were starting to swell. I hate that feeling!



We had to leave and get DH home to sleep, he had to be at work at 12:00. The girl and I went to Big Lots and bought a few things and then spent the night at home.

Sunday I was up at 6:00 and ran for 20 minutes. I got 1.44 miles. I still feel that I should be getting further than I am, but I am very slow. Slow and steady wins the race. Tomorrow (if it's not raining) I will do the 20 minute run again and then it will jump up to 25, 28, 30 and 35 being the last. I'm just not seeing myself adding another 1.60 miles in 15 minutes but I guess I'll know when I get there.

Sunday I cooked zucchini stuffed with chicken, mashed potatoes and salad. Ending with 1422 calories.

Monday it was hard to get up and go to work. I was sleeping so good. It was damp and just hard to leave the house. I got a text last night from the YA and he thought about admitting himself to the hospital because he says one minute I'm happy and the next I just want to break down and cry. I felt so back for him. I asked him if he wanted to hurt himself, he told me NO. I gave him a crises number to call to talk to someone. He asked me to make him an appointment, I did, It is for 4:00 pm today, hopefully he can find out what is bothering him. I just feel so sad for him. Being an adult Sucks and can be so very hard sometimes.

DH said he was making salmon for dinner, so there's that. I hope it is good.

Your weightloss is very apparent to me!!! Great job!! Your face looks less round than before and overall you look so good. You should be so, so, so thrilled which i know you are. AND, GIRLIE LOOKS GOOD!!!! Her hair looks so nice long! She looks healthier than even before. I hope she keeps running with you. I can tell she loves you by the smiles in this photo!

You know how you say you want to be better running than you are....sounds like you are being hard on yourself but also bc you are that type of DETERMINED person. But you are right - slow and steady wins the race - and that's the same motto that I follow in my training. Better to train at YOUR pace than get an injury and have to stop.

You must love running. It's amazing to be albe to get into it after not for so long - that's how I feel also about myself!

That's so cool you stuffed the zucchini with ground chicken right? Ground up? I had a boss that would infuse mini eggplants with garlic and parsley i think! He's pickle them and everything. it's so cool to put the meat in the veggie! so tasty.

Young adult sounds like he could use some therapy and/or medication....not that medicine solves everything, but, it helps sometimes. hey, i take some myself (for anxiety i've take it for one year).

So I ran for 15 minutest this morning! I was so glad I could finish. Had a 3 minute walk and then a 5 minute run. I thought it was a bit warm this morning and it took me forever to cool off. I was even sweating after my cool shower. I prefer about 54 degrees.

The girl and I went to see "The Miracle Worker" It was really good. I've seen the movie several times (the original and the remake) and I believe they did a fantastic job. The girl seemed to like it as well.

We got home about 9:45 and I expected DH to at least make his lunch, but he didn't. So the girl and I made his lunch and then made ours. She went to bed about 10:15 - she was tired, she fell asleep in the car driving to the play, but managed to stay awake for it's entirety.

We are supposed to go out to eat tonight, I don't even know where. Maybe to our diner, we haven't been there in awhile and it is reasonable on cost.

Tomorrow flea market and maybe a festival in Huron, Ohio.

My next run is a 20 minute run...no walks - I guess the hard stuff begins.

Fairy Garden sounds awesome! It would be nice if they were CACTUS plants that stay small bc then it would last a very long time with very little water. I agree that it’s a very cute and creative idea. Cool. I think I’d even enjoy making one – as long as I knew it would last…otherwise I wouldn’t enjoy the process as much lol…I need to see the value in it the things I do! Will girlie’s last? (since yours fell out in the car!).

Glad to hear the movie was good. It stinks when we pay a lot and the movie isn’t good bc theater prices by me are CRAZY! I saw a movie in 3D and it cost me - for a SINGLE seat (they are all recliner seats) over TWENTY dollars! For a movie! Is it that expensive by you??? The Metro NYC area is seriously NUTZ! The seats are all similar to like a recliner sofa and you can adjust your seat to your preference.

Awww so sweet to make hubby’s lunch. I do hope to have a man one day – at least a man, if not a hubby. I like your hubby! You sound so good for each other! A really nice couple! Girlie is lucky with you guys!!!!

Wow….2 events in one day tomorrow! HOW NICE! I hope you make it to at least ONE of them! Let us know how they go!

Ohhhh....super congrats on your running...i do not think i could do more than 10 minutes - not sure - in a row. I'll check it out later on! :)

DH heated up the left over ribs and made some cauliflower for dinner. It was ok.

Then we made slime. And for some reason the recipe wasn't forming slime, so the girl wanted to pour more and more stuff into it. Baking soda and corn starch. DH googled why isn't my slime forming? Seriously....it said first ensure your baking soda isn't expired. So I looked it expired in April. We weren't cooking, we were making slime for pete's sake. Anyway, the girl said something to the affect of = don't you have baking soda that isn't expired? This for some reason hit a nerve and I just replied. I'm sorry the baking soda is expired, perhaps you should go to your mother's house and make it where everything is perfect! Needless to say, both the girl and DH clamped their mouths shut! I politely removed myself from the situation and busied myself doing other things...they continued with the slime making and ended up with playdoh instead.

As usual DH excuses himself to go to sleep and I again am there with the never ending gabbing girl! She knows, she knows because after about 2 hours she asks if I want her to shut up now!! Seriously???  Ended the day with 1528 calories.

I overslept this morning and did not get up until 6:10. I had to rush and shower and then wake the girl up and get her motivated for camp. I will have to do my run in the morning.

Tonight we have The Miracle Worker play at the Oberlin College, DH is staying home sleeping.

Not sure about dinner.

How did he cook the cauliflower? All veggies are always more tasty when a little olive oil is added….did he use any oil for the cauli?

Hahaha…at least they got to making something right?! Play-doh sounds more fun than slime anyways..

Teach girlie how to occupy herself….like when you read, if you read, she can read. Or she can watch a movie. Maybe help her do something with her spare time? I was always good at that – good at being quiet and just fiddling around. I think anyways…

GOOD CALORIES way to go! You have been doing really well, IP!....Enjoy the show! I LOVE community shows whether they be drama, music, dance….all of the arts are good!

Actually they were cauliflower tots, he cooked in the air fryer. They were good.

Our fairy garden was a tiny garden in a bowl. The instructor bought pebbles, jewels, little dinosaurs and cut outs to make our little fairy/dinosaur garden and then gave us seeds to plant. It was cute. Mine dumped out in the car on the way home, but we still had a great time.

Monday the girl, DH and I went to Sandusky to grow grocery shopping...for the iced coffee!! We ate lunch at Ryan's buffet and then went to Sam's. The girl and I went to a fairy garden class at the library and then went home.

Tuesday - was up at 5:50 and did the c25K (10 minute run - 3 min walk - 10 minute run) this is much easier to do in cooler less humid weather. DH cooked ribs that turned out really tender. The YA and his girlfirend was over for dinner and this is the 2nd week for the girl so she will be with us the entire week. My dog is the exception to the rule of being scared of fire works. He runs around the back yard trying to catch them and barks and barks and barks. I'm sure he gets agitated, but after awhile he just goes to sleep. Poor baby.

Today was back to work - I did not miss this for four days. I still cannot believe how much complaining the people I work with do. Tonight we are making slime!

Tomorrow is week 6 day 3 and will be a 15 minute run with a 3 minute walk and then a 5 minute run. Right now the 15 minutes sounds very daunting. Body is feeling ok - no soreness or back issues of late.

Still need to cut back on the sweets!

So tell us about this Fairy Garden Class! Was it good? Was it Creative?

Wow so proud of you being up at 5:50am on Independence Day! I wasn’t out of my bed until after 10am yesterday!! It’s good you don’t have a crying doggie on your hands…my hamster seemed a little bit afraid – I’m glad it’s practically blind because I don’t have all my shades put up and if my hamster could see far – he’d be seeing all those fireworks lights bursting..but I do not think a hamster can see more than a few inches in front of themselves – which is great.

Today everyone at work kept their mouths shut. I think they were tired? Somehow I was on time despite leaving SO LATE! no traffic at all! A couple of other people that work around me were late…not sure if they really had something to do or if they were partying? Lol. one was a pregnant lady, coming in 1.5 hours late. another was an older secretary who came in at 10 saying she was at the dr before – who knows.

Keep going with your running program ! You are doing great. Only reason to stop or slow is if there’s pain or too much soreness. Keep up the great work, IP!

Saturday totally bum day. Was up and never changed out of my pajamas. Fell asleep in the recliner and watched baseball most of the day. DH got home, showered and opted to sleep in his recliner. He grill pork chops. Ended the day with 1438 calories.

Sunday, was up early and did the c25k - 10 minute run 5 minute walk 10 minute run. Kicked my butt! I was humidity's **** today! OMG I thought I was going to die. I will not wait four days to do this again. I will be up Tuesday to do this again.

No plans today - laundry. Supposed to get the girl at 7:00 pm. I am off tomorrow and Tuesday but really have no plans.

I had a bit of bumming also on the weekend. sometimes it's a time to rest and recharge the MIND...allowing you to think about other things and future plans! :)

Took a vacation day at work and took the girl to the Indians game. My new favorite thing. OMG I loved every minute of it, despite the heat. We had a great time. We had to walk over a mile to where we parked, but I did not want to pay $20 to park closer. We had the best time ever and are planning to go back with DH in early August.

The girl and I went to Boston Market after and had some rotisserie chicken. I am having real issues with meat. I didn't think my chicken was cooked enough and just picked at it. DH made some ribs a few weeks ago and one of them at a fat pocket on it that looked like an infected blister. It was so nasty. Just meat in general is grossing me out lately.

Today I thought about registering for the race to celebrate my 50th BD, but I thought I should at last finish the training program. I have nine more runs to do and will be finished in plenty of time for the date of the race...but just in case I will wait until I finish the program.

We will have the girl again Sunday night for the week...so I will get two nights off.

Have a great 4th of July! Will try to check in as time permits.

Good idea not to pay to park and rather get a lil exercise and do the walk yourself. This is OBVIOUSLY the MOST healthy and BEST choice! Plus, it shows the girlie being lazy is simply NOT the best choice!

I had a major change with meat also - i do not enjoy HUGE portions of it anymore - for like one full year now i'm completely having small portions almost always. (size of my palm at most usually!)

Protein is "overrated" by the general public - we don't need to overload on it..but some isn't bad....
