Went to my YMCA class last night, I think I will like it. I know I found out that I am very much out of shape. Our instructor gave us an assessment - 1 mile walk, plank, pushups, flexibility (extention test)...my walk sucked...I need to do this in the morning when my back feels fresh and doesn't hurt as much. I think i walked a mile in 15:48 - OMG I was running two miles in this time when I was in the military. I felt so disappointed - I feel so disappointed. I will walk more. Not too concerned that I did not hold up the plank very long, as I am fat and fat is heavy, but I did my best and this is a starting point. There are five other women who may or maynot be helpful. 

D: roast pork loin, green beans and a cous cous mixture with vegetables

Next class is next Wednesday - Saturday class was already rescheduled do to a conflict of something or other.

B: maple, brown sugar frost mini wheats, iced tea, 2% milk

S: protein bar (mixed fruit, almonds)

L: 1/2 roast beef sandwich, provolone cheese, cheezits, 1/2 banana (the other half was too bruised)

S: string cheese

D: spaghetti with turkey

I will walk a mile tonight, doubt I will take the dog (DH or the girl can take him) I will make a good mile...if it kills me!

Work was OK today, kinda busy with stuff I don't like to do. New fiscal year is coming and things need to be rotated around and stuff.

I think 15-16 minute mile is OK. Fitness sites say that moderate speeds for walking are 17-20 minutes. Don't be so hard o yourself. Try to look forward and not backward - I can't do things I did 4-5 years ago, but I can do what I can today. I can't let the fact that can't do what I did back then stop me from what I can do today. Keep it up, IP!

Little by little you will get stronger & fitter again. Do what you can for you & don't compare yourself to others. :)

Also, you were in the military!? so cool! I really support out guys (and gals) out there for the hard work and training they do.

I think I am so unsocial. Monday I was told that our sister office in Pittsburgh was coming over and their administrative assistant was coming as well, so I could show her how I do things and we could talk and compare notes and stuff. Well, I don't want to do this. She can do her thing and I'll do mine. We talk once a month on the stupid ASA call. Anyway my DH gave me $20 in case she did come and we would have to go out to lunch. Well about 9:30 I was told she wasn't coming - I was elated.

I was so happy, we celebrated! I think we just have any excuse to celebrate, but we ended up eating at Cracker Barrel. I had chopped steak, baked sweet potato and brocolli. It was a nice relaxing evening, even if the girl was there.

B: brown sugar, maple mini shredded wheat cereal, iced tea

S: breakfast protein bar

L: 1/2 roast beef sandwich, cheezits

Tonight I have my class, really looking forward to it.

Dinner is something with pork loin, DH is cooking and mowing the yard while I'm at my class.

I also can be very antisocial. I don't even enjoy having lunch with coworkers this week and have tried and gotten out of it (even though the two are my friends) because i've been so busy outside of work too...all i want is to be alone.

Crazy weekend at the waterpark! Lots of fun and I almost drowned in the wave pool. Whatever you do, do not fall down because when the waves are rolling it is almost impossible to get back up again. If it was for DH I would have drowned for sure. Bummer my team lost! Sad that I took time out of my fun to get upset! Next time I will stay with the fun.

Safety announcement: DO NOT use nair on your arm pits...OMG I was in pain for almost three days.

Looking forward to the start of my class at the YMCA tomorrow.

Oh nice! Perfect trip for an end of summer! I am glad you survived the wave pool lady! haha

Sorry about your nair accident. I burned my arms last Spring right before my sister's wedding when i scrubbed too hard with the Veet (similar to Nair) brush! I went to the dermatologist and luckily was able to fix the problem (just days before her wedding!). lol....

Isn't it a "pain to be beautiful!?"

Those wave pools are treacherous! Had to laugh a bit at the Nair thing - only because that is something I would do! I remember I tried home waxing kit for my legs years ago - I wound up with horrible burns and skin removed on my shins! Never again!

Picked up the girl and decided to go to the local diner to eat. I had scrambled eggs and bacon. I am a breakfast for dinner, when I don't have to cook it type person. We got home and the girl took her shower and then packed her stuff for the water park.

I wanted to wait as long as possible to start packing, because Steve knows something is up and he gets all depressed and clingy, like please don't leave me. But we leave him with the trainer and she is fantastic with him. We will just be gone two nights, be back Sunday afternoon, just in time to do laundry and to watch football.

Saturday night, my team plays Ohio State...so we might have a little scuffle at the home front and even work. Work is just awful today. I have so much to do and can't even find a starting place, this in turn, overwhelms me. So I'm thinking the weekend at the water park is just what I need, despite the anxiety about the football game.

B: blueberry bagel with cream cheese, iced vanilla latte

S: honey, almond protein bar

L: 1/2 roastbeef sandwich, banana, cheezits

D: TBD - DH took out ground beef will do something with that

Breakfast for dinner is actually a healthy thing...you can even do egg whites with all kinds of veggies...maybe with a diet coke...this is low cal. even with a slice of toast or two! sides of tomato. eat as much as you want...really low cal! little bacon is ok too! still low cal stuff.

almond protein bar sounds so tasty :)

ground beef = yummy. i find it cool how it cooks itself in it's own fat -no extra oil needed...you can add veggies to that too!

So yesterday was crap. Internet went out Monday before I left work and was out all day yesterday! I had to leave early for the endocrinologist appointment. For all the traffic hassels and everything, that appointment could have been conducted over the phone for all that happened. Just an interview, we know it is there and now we will draw blood every three months and check on things. When did they find it, where, how, etc. Again I could have told them all this over the phone.

Got all stressed out in the traffic and couldn't make it home fast enough.

So Friday my old boss had to cancel our dinner with work issues. So I left my work early and took her the pudding I made. She was so thankful and I made her so happy...for this I am glad. I really miss working with her.

DH and I had taco bell - two tacos for me. Just a night at home listening to the TV.

Saturday DH was up at 6:00 to go to work, I slept in until about 8:30. I stayed around the house due to it raining all day. I couldn't paint. I did leave the house to go get my comforter out of the dry cleaners before noon and then I watched football. I am a football junkie.

When DH go back home we went to a Greek Festival. Dancing, ouzo, gyros...OPA!

B: toast, vanilla iced latte

L: cheezits, diet dr. pepper

D: gyros and I tried a few bites of other Greek food I don't even know - Papsitas, moussaka, souvloki and something cold made from grape leaves (didn't like this) and then my favorite custard dissert galaktoboureko (custard and filo dough)

D: roasted pork roast, salad and asparagus

I did work on my shelf this day, however, I think I messed it up and will have to repaint it. It's getting dark sooner and I will look at it today in the light. I also walked the greatest dog in the work and did about 20 minutes of beginner yoga.

I am enrolling in the Y class today.

I thought of you over the weekend while washing my bedding....really!...i was remembering how you needed to take your comforter to the dry cleaners! LOL...for real!

OH Greek Festival! I would love that. Greek food is the best. I can usually find something healthy with Greek food. I love greek salad with the chicken. We have a wonderful Green community here and they cater lots of events!

Got home from work and was waiting on DH to get back with the girl. He looked awesome in his dress pants and shirt. He said he did really well on the interview and it would be a huge raise for him if he is offered the job, and oh yeah it is 2 miles from our house! Major plus, especially in the winter.

He wanted to go out so we go to Red Robin. I had a small burger and sweet potato fries.

I made the banana pudding for my old boss, however, she texted me this morning and said she may not be able to make it afterall...oh well someone at work can eat it.

Tonight I may go to dinner with my friends...if she can make it, if not we will reschedule. If not I always have DH to go with, we have a pork roast that I will cook Sunday, because I just made us plans to go to the Greek festival Saturday night, hopefully all good choices.

DH was talking to the girl about if he gets his job, it will be on 2nd shift and he said he would see her on the weekends. She then asked me if I would still come and pick her up...oh my...feels for sure. I told her I probably could IF her dad gets the job.

DH and I went to wal-mart, I bought the ingredients to make the banana pudding for my friend.

We had the leftover chicken, rotini alfredo I made on Monday night, it was even better. I also caved and had a piece of peach cobbler.

My mom sent me six boxes of the iced vanilla latte, I love her so much. We cannot find it anywhere in NE Ohio anymore.

S: banana, cheeze its

D: grilled pork loin, mashed potatos and green beens

WE have the girl tonight, it is raining so we will be stuck in the house, hopefully she'll have homework or something. It will be a nice quiet weekend without her. - Next weekend is the water park - can't wait.

Was up at 2:00 and sat up until 4:00. My dog was whimpering so I followed him downstair, he was hungry and after eating went right back to sleep.

DH stayed home today from work. He has an interview at 3:00 with a company that is 2 miles away from home. Not that he was looking, but this kind of fell in his lab and he is just going to find out what they are looking for, whatever, I hope he does well.

Took advantage of the Subway sale for dinner Tuesday night and tried the new Lays flavorful chips...uh YUCK well if you like hot stuff than you would like them. Tikka Marsala, Suezhan Chicken and Tsasiki (cucumber) was the one we liked the best, there was one more, but we didn't get it and I can't remember what it was.

Didn't get to my shelf, I can safely say this will probably sit there until Saturday.

Slept all night, which is a great thing!

I am having dinner with frriends Friday night. One of them has a birthday next week and just loved my banana pudding, so I am making her some for her birthday. It is savest since a gift would be awkward (she is my old boss). It is a girl's night out, DH is going somewhere with his highschool friend.

Work is crap - searching, looking, for stuff that probably never existed.

Hot today with muggy rain - they say this week will probably be the end of the hot weather, just saying!

Yes...i'm loving the Subway sale too!!! On Tuesday, i got a chicken sub but told them to leave off the chicken haha....i just wanted to veggies and bread to have with the rest of my dinner ! haha. and i paid the cheaper price. wahoo.

My work is crappo too. Work is work...but pays the bills!

I slept all night too - with the help of a strong sleeping pill....so now i'm still tired bc i took it sorta late just after 7pm when it really needs to be taken even earlier - 6pm. bc it doesn't wear off for 12 hours haha.

i would say most of those flavorful chips SUCK. agreed.

DH picked up the girl and took her to her appointment. Wax buildup, like probably eleven years worth. Now she can hear again...this I am happy for. We went to the Chinese buffet. Lots of vegetables was had by me, except for peas, I always pick the peas out, I do not like them.


DH gets up for work, I sleep in until about 8:00. Get the girl up about 9:00 and then we do errands. I was making white chicken chili and wanted to get to the store before everyone else. We go to the store, drop my comforter off at the dry clearners, head to the Home Depot monthly craft project. (A whiteboard - it is cute) Get back home and put the chili together. The evening was crap after that - my team lost and I hate that (it is Tuesday at work and I have not heard the end of it yet).

B: biscuit, bacon, egg

no lunch

D: chicken chili, cheese, sour cream


picked up a shelf off the side of the road and thought I would try my hand at chalk paint. So in the morning, I was painting this cabinet/shelf with chalk paint while DH mowed. It turned out kinda cute, not really finished with it yet. We left to find some magnets for the girl to put an organizer in her locker.

Monday -thought the girl was going to go home last night, but she is to stay over today as well. I started the laundry and painted some more on my shelf. It should be finished tomorrow after work. Got into watching a Z Nation Marathon on TV - comical

D: left over chicken, rotini, brocolli, zuchini alfredo that I through together. It turned out pretty good with lots left over.

S: I made a chocolate zucchini bread with the zuchini that was going to go bad. It did not need the chocoloate.

Slept very good through the weekend, the night I actually have to get up for work, I am up at 3:30 with a headache. Take a few Aleve and go back to bed.

Debating whether to sign up for a nutritian/exercise class at the Y - it is $145 for 8 weeks, haven't decided yet. Starts 9/21/16.

DH pissed me off on the way to work this morning, I am in the middle of telling him a story and he says, oh my look at that Dodge Rebel! What the hell, so was he not listening to me at all? I hate this, he seems to do it more and more. I just quit talking. He says go on - I just look at him and shake me head - it's not that important - look at the Doget Rebel. I can't believe how insignificant he makes me feel. And then I get mad at myself that I let him make me feel this way. Not dealing with it very well at work today...@SShat!

And then we have that girl again tonight! I cannot wait until Friday - I don't want to see her for awhile.

OMG! i would DIE if i had to do arts & crafts at work. I suck at being artistically creative because when i was younger i didn't delve into art. I was shy and didn't work on my artistic abilities ever.

White chicken chili sounds wonderful! so good!

I'm learning to go back to bed too when i wake at night...

LOL. you may want to show girlie how to CAREFULLY use a q-tip in her ears to clean out the wax? CAREFULLY. explain how it can be bad to put it IN the eardrum and stay towards outside.
