Weight: 315.0

So glad it is Friday, even with the day off on Monday this has been the longest week EVER!

Yesterday I put a crock pot with a pot roast in with carrots only. No potatoes.

I wasted time yesterday watching sports and coloring by number on my phone.

This weekend we have the girl. Tomorrow is lots of shopping, DH's truck is going in the shop for new brakes and the girl wanted her eyebrows threaded again. She is also supposed to have a friend over.

Received a message from my mom that she is once again postponing her trip because she does have the great grand kids and will be taking care of them for awhile. She didn't tell me how long.

The girl's last day of school is June 7th and she is already planning her weekly stays with us. It will be different this year as she is too old for camp and she isn't comfortable staying by herself yet.

Have a great weekend! GO CAVS!! GO TRIBE!

Progress as of today: 6.6 lbs lost so far, only 105 lbs to go!

I've made roast without potatoes myself...and was still good!! You will enjoy it.

happy-1 on 06/01/2018:
That sounds yum!

Donkey on 06/01/2018:
I'm glad your girl is staying with you. It's not good to be alone for so long/too long.

Good day!

The results of my time management class - I have about 4.5 hours of time per day to do things...besides look at my phone and watch TV. However, I got the impression this class wanted to account for every second of every day! It was like I have to schedule time to relax, or god forbid it wasn't allowed. Too rigid for me. If I want to sit on by @ss twenty minutes after mowing the grass, I should be able to! Just saying!

So yes on the days DH works, I do go home and sit on my @ss for two hours and then decide I may dedice to cook dinner. Last night  I found thawed ground beef in the sink (from DH who took it out before he left for work) I also saw a jar of marinara sauce on the counter, my gentle hint to make spaghetti. Uh...NO! I didn't feel like spaghetti so I made some meatballs in mushroom gravy and egg noddles. I also found some frozen zucchini, that I did not like.

The telehealth calls have ended or so I think. I did get a call from a telenurse asking me if my equipment was working. I don't have any equipment so I haven't called her back to ask what the h3ll she is talking about.

Alberto is supposed to effect our weather tonight and tomorrow, so hope it doesn't rain too much more, I have a lake in my backyard.

Work people who are working on the safety inspection are all gone today...figures! They keep saying, next week and then it will be too late. I just know I did my best.

New janitors start tomorrow, not a good thing for my office.

Anyway, finding things to do this weekend. Have a great day and continue to fight!

OOps...sounds like telehealth is mixed up! You weren't enjoying that call too much were you....?

Horn_of_plenty on 06/01/2018:
Sounds like Telehealth calls to try to get back your business to them!

Nice creative dinner to cook instead of the spaghetti !!

very funny all the inspection work folks are off today from your job lol....too funny! well, maybe not funny for you, but certainly for me!!

I have never been so incredibly irriatated at people than I am today. Bleepity, bleep, bleep, @sshats and idiots and every other name you can call stupid coworkers.

We have been knowing about this safety inspection for more than six months, guess what, OMG, it is in two weeks and now these idiots actually want to start doing something? We had an eyewash station that as been out of commisison for I don't know say, SIX MONTHS!! and the guy keeps saying, I'll do it, I'll do it!. So he starts doing it and then says...I can't do it. And then, and then another idiot says, we can just order another one!! OK, well, if they first guy knew he couldn't fix it, why didn't they order a new one SIX MONTHS ago? I mean just maybe, maybe someone may have needed it.

Needless to say, I will be more than happy when the stupid inspection is over!

Other than that, the girl was over last night, she asked to go back to counseling because she can't talk to her mother. DH made her an appointment.

DH made teriaki chicken and corn for dinner., that was relly, it was the Klondyke ice cream that ruined everything.

We are doing time management surveys! I will go an manage my time.

Have a great evening! IP

bearcountrygg on 05/30/2018:
Breathe...don't take the coworkers behavior personally......maybe make a list of things people are responsible for and post it???? Or would that cause trouble? Maybe others will put pressure on them? Your dinner sounds delish...including the ice cream. And good for the girl knowing that she could use some help....she depends on you guys to be her normal.....at least she is lucky enough to have you.

happy-1 on 05/30/2018:
Hugs. Breathe. We can only control the things we can control.

horn_of_plenty on 05/31/2018:
at least you are doing what you can do for the safety inspection...it's notall on you, like the others said above. do what you can but the rest is out of your hands! so don't take others behavior personally as you seem to be more much more on the ball with prepping things.

next, girlie has a good relationship with you and DH in order to ask to go back to counseling and that is really a wonderful thing.

I did make a post yesterday, not exactly sure what happened to it.

Sunday  I was up pretty early, but only accomplished getting the laundry washed. I did experiement with making chicken paprikash, it was different, because I didn't know how it was supposed to taste. DH said it was good though.

Monday - I was up pretty early and had iced vanilla latte and did the Sunday Crossword. About 8:30, DH and I went outside and planted some flowers. We then sanded some rust off the patio furniture and repainted with rustoleum, hopefully it will last a few years longer  DH then went to get the girl, it is his holiday. I can never keep it straight, when I think he should have her, he doesn't. I'm surprised her mother let her come over, since we had her for the play on Saturday.

Speaking of, here is the picture. The larger lady who took it, said it 'turned out super cute' however, it makes me want to cry!

I mowed the grass and made potato salad and DH cooked the burgers on the grill. It was a nice and relaxing day.

Happy Memorial Day!

horn_of_plenty on 05/29/2018:
I do think the photo is super cute too! Everyone looks great and happy...your hubby looks to have lost weight i think his face seems slimmer? and you look great and girlie for sure!

i'm glad the show was good! and moving the grass is a great workout for sure.

Happy Sunday!

Yesterday DH had to take a half day of vacation and we were 'allowed' to get the girl to attend the Alladin play. I bought these tickets at Christmas and didn't know DH would have a different job and/or we wouldn't have the girl. It was a great show and we had a wonderful time, except for the picture. OMG the picture, I will share that later.

I was thinking I have had approximately 449 first day of the months in my life, (that I've actually cared about losing weight) and, five times that in Mondays to start again on some freakin plan to lose weight.

DH is working today and I have the laundry started, I may take Steve for a long walk before it gets too hot, because it went from spring to summer in one day...and I'm sick of the rain.

I'll be back regularly now....I missed you guys!

Have a great day! IP

I'm so glad to hear you're back !!!

So you have me intrigued about the photo....

I hope the show was good, sounds like it was..Sometimes i'm nervous to go to shows around here that are family friendly bc it's all crying kids in the audience!

We got the rain here, too.

bearcountrygg on 05/27/2018:
So new starts on Mondays are not only me???? D would always tell me to just start in the middle of the day.….or in the middle of the week...or anytime...but NOPE...not me....I just needed a few more binges under my belt ( literally)….and I would wait for Monday...heck...I have been known to wait for the first day of a new year...that would give me lots and lots of binge days...and besides...I might as well get up to my highest weight ever...and then start....UGH...…...so I'm not alone!!! I'm happy you are back...we can do this!!!

Donkey on 05/27/2018:
I'm only too familiar with the "start on Monday" thing. Not any more. It starts NOW or it doesn't start. However, you gotta go with whatever works for you. It took me a while to get to NOW. My husband still waits for Mondays.

happy-1 on 05/28/2018:
Missed you too! Big hugs!

I have just been so incredibly busy at work I haven't made time to journal. But this is a good thing as food has been the last thing on my mind! And then at work I have immersed myself into the yard and planting flowers, again not thinking about food.

I have had two interviews from the DHS people in Oklahoma about my mother and her 'fostering' the great grand kids...still a stupid stiuation and right now I am glad to be in Ohio.

The YA gave me a phone case for mother's day, was totally not expecting it. The girl gave me a clock and baloon, and my son called from Georgia, so I had a great day on mother's Day.

DH smoked some chicken.

I have been eating well and cut down a lot on cheese and sweets, so I am feeling better as well.

DH was switched at work so we have had the girl two weekends in a row, and I don't have anything planned for this week, so we are playing it by hear.

Have a great weekend and only 23 more day suntil the inspection and I should be back on her pretty regularly from the day as usual.  IP

bearcountrygg on 05/18/2018:
Sounds like you have had a lot of good days there IP.....You threw me there when you said your DH smoked some chicken...LOL...for a minute there I thought he had a new smoking habit...LOL

Horn_of_plenty on 05/18/2018:
I am surprised they called you about your mother but i will say that many times that's how law enforcement goes with always reaching out to family even before friends i think..

I am glad you were celebrated on Mother's Day because you know how special you are...at least i always tell you that!

Nice to have an inspection countdown and realize that it will end :)

Wednesday -

Breakfast: raisin bran, milk (out of bananas)

Lunch: left over turkey burger, egg noodles and mushroom gravy (all in all about 1/2 of serving of everything)

Dinner: smoked chicken breast with 1 Tbsp of home made ranch dressing (with low fat sour cream - no mayo)

Snack: baby carrots and home made ranch dressing - two crumpets with 2 Tbsp of peanut butter

Total calories - 1319

Thursday morning - way overslept - DH was up and out of the house by 5:30 and I just turned off snooze and all and didn't wake up until 6:30 - ack! this was cutting it way too close and I didn't get to shower. I feel icky.

Breakfast: two crumpets with 2Tbsp of peanut butter and I had an iced coffee - I just couldn't get around to even function.

I made it to work exactly 8:00

Lunch: left over smoked chicken, tomatos orange

Dinner: I will have to figure out something. Supposed to be fish, but I don't think I bought enough.

I shreeded six bags of time cards from 1998 and have moved lots of stuff in my office. My office is safety inspection ready!

My leave day was approved for tomorrow so I will have a three day weekend. We were going on a scavenger hunt, but I waited to long to register us and it was filled out, now we are going on an AVA walk in nearby Kent and this depends on the weather.

We have a baseball game tomorrow night, again weather dependent.

Have a great weekend! IP

Tuesday - busy at work

Breakfast: raisin bran, 2% milk, banana

Lunch: left over smoked tilapia, roasted corn, lettuce, tomoato, salsa, sour cream

Snack: apple

Dinner: 6 oz. grilled turkey burger, green beans, 3/4 cup egg noodles with mushroom gravy

Snack: small bowl of cereal

ended the night with 1388 calories

The girl was over - I was jabbing DH about not putting an orange in my lunch, instead he put an apple. I said when I'm not eating food as much, I want the food I want. You make me be mean to you, and you know I get cranky when I don't eat the food I want to eat. He says he knows and he was sorry. This was all in fun.

The girl asks what are you going to eat on Friday (another baseball game) I told her water, diet pop and pop corn - we will eat before we go what is pallned. She says...remind me to stay far away from you this weekend. I told her she can eat what she wants and she replies...no I'll eat with you. She's so sweet sometimes.

BUT...today...I still dont' have an orange!

I had to text DH and ask 'where the bleep is my orange?" you have an orange and you have an apple, but I can't even get a freakin' orange, why won't you let me have an orange?  Now I'm kinda mad because we have a break room and you know how that temptation may or maynot start calling my name....praying for some will power here. I do have carrots and dip so I will make it through the afternoon.

I asked for a vacation day Friday...I just really want to enjoy the day with DH, but it is supposed to rain, of course.

Over all another successful day. Next week will work on the water intake.

Have a great night! IP

graindart on 05/09/2018:
Good job and hopefully you can avoid the breakroom temptations. Good idea planning ahead on the baseball game eats. It's when I don't have a plan that I'm most likely to fall off the wagon.

bearcountrygg on 05/09/2018:
That's cute how your daughter wants to help too.

Donkey on 05/09/2018:
I hope you were able to stay strong without the orange.

horn_of_plenty on 05/10/2018:
if you want that orange that badly, tell him so and expect no less is what i'd say...lol...

really though, yesterday i was talking to a friend/coworker on the train home and she was saying how people treat you how you let them treat you...he obviously didn't get your message.

i hope my advice isn't too harsh!?

also, girlie sounds so sweet.

The end of the binge!

Friday was busy all day in the morning, doing the cleaning, but we didn't get finished. I spent the afternoon getting the training done.

Saturday I woke up with a headache, thinking it had something to do with the weather, but I did manage to go shopping for the new eating plan we started on Sunday.

Sunday I woke up and did the cleaning and laundry and then I ventured out to do shopping for the rest of the week. It's amazing when you only get fruits and vegetables, how much less money I spent.

Anyway - Sunday was the first day of success.

Breakfast: Raisin Bran, milk, banana

Lunch: crumpets with 2 Tbsps of peanut butter (it's amazing what measuring amounts does for portion control)

Dinner: baked chicken, boiled potatoes and brocolli, strawberries

total for the day was about 1200 calories. I did start to get hungry before bed, but....I went to bed hungry. And I slept very well.

Monday: up and weigh in at 317.7 - My hand are still swollen but not as much - so this is good.

Breakfast: same breakfast

Lunch: boiled egg, one piece of toast, apple

Dinner: DH smoked some aweful fish for fish tacos. I had found some small street taco, taco shells and we had fish tacos (the best ever) with a little sour cream, grilled corn on the cob, lettuce, tomatos and salsa, this was the best thing ever. An orange for dessert.

Total calores for a successful day 2 - 1206

One day at a time people!!

I found out today I will be in Silver Spring, Maryland the last week in August for training. I'm always happy to travel on other's peoples' dimes. Never been to Maryland so looking forward to this trip...not the training though.

We finished up the storage room and I can't believe how much my boss let us throw away. And then I wonder why it wasn't done in the past...but it is done. It must stay this way for another 6 weeks for the inspection and then we are supposed to move offices in the next year....we will see.

Thank you all again, for your support and encouragement during my rough patch I'm going through. It is so very appreciated.

YIPPEE.....Way to go!!!! GREAT JOB!!!

horn_of_plenty on 05/08/2018:
i also would like to travel on other people's dime...as long as there's some time i can spend doing exercise lol or walking...?? or sightseeing the area???

i hope training isn't too much a pain in the booty.

i am also traveling for free, just need to leave a tip and pay for my own gas...but most of the actual food and room will be free, this weekend. going to an educational seminar a couple hours out east on Long Island :) it was a volunteer course and like i said, basically a free getaway :) i took Friday / Monday off to give myself some wiggle room and make it more a fun adventure than stressful addition to a weekend :)

Thank you all for your continued support.

Hopefully this was my last day of super busyness at work - my office was hosting a conference in Cleveland and working behind the scenes to put the programs together and cater to guests was just a bear.

Tomorrow my boss is taking a vacation day and a few of us are cleaning out this store room - like dumping lots of stuff - I told my boss, but he doesn't know the half of what I'm tossing. This is in preparation of the safety inspection next month. Our headquarters tried to get us out of it, since we are 'supposed' to be moving offices in February - March 2019 - right...we've been trying to move ever since I came to this office which will be three years in October.

I have two more classes to finish for the contracting representative program - hopefully I will have these finished over the weekend. It is on web-based so I can get that done, when I'm home alone for a few days.

Seriously talked to DH about the weight loss thing. He is on-board today and will be enthusiastic about it for a week, the trick is to not give in to temptations. I guess we will work one day at a time.

Have a great evening and again, thank you all for your kind words and point of views - I really appreciate it more than you could ever know. IP

Hello IP! What are you!? a Creative Writer!? Great first paragraph up there :)

Good luck tomorrow with your "Spring Cleaning!"

and good luck doing the online programs at home!...sounds like you are almost done, lady!

It will be helpful if DH is on board. And i'm sure Girlie will not complain :) if she does, i wouldn't give in or serve her anything different. you don't really have to change anything, just try to skip out on some of the sweets. a suggestion is to buy tons of fruit and eat it, often, instead!!With the fruit, you can go as far as eating 4-5 pieces a day between meals right now, if you wished!...along with other snacks, too. just to get yourself off the candy, this would be my suggestion..

We love having you here and hearing about all your creativity and activities you do!

Take care for now, IP!
