Weight: 303.7

Work has been crazy for the last couple of days, I haven't had time to log in a read entries and make one.

Got home last night and DH had quinoa crunch burgers for dinner with a brocoli ham salad. It was ok, just not what I wanted.

I bought cupcakes for work and we had one for dessert. I ended the night with 1548 calories.

This morning we were up for the gym at 4:30. Can't wait for the weather to warm up is all I'm saying. I do like the machines though.

B: fritatta, 1/2 pita with beef, iced vanilla latte

S: yogurt, blackberries

L: left over chicken and brocolli

D: DH said eggs and sausage, which is really OK.

DH cleaned the kitchen floor, finally, he realizes what a messy cook he is - maybe he will be more careful in the future. - DH has an interview tomorrow and Friday.

Tomorrow is my Mom's birthday. My sister's is Saturday..

Have a great evening! IP

Progress as of today: 17.9 lbs lost so far, only 93.7 lbs to go!

I took off Friday from work, somtimes, you just gotta!

Thursday DH didn't take anything out of the refrigerator so we went out again to a Tavern. I had a chicken sandwich it was nice. We then went to JCP and got DH a new pair of pants, that actually fit and a new pair of shoes. And then DQ. Went over calories.

Friday: DH and I went to the gym, I love gym in the morning. DH and I drove to Sandusky and i got my iced coffee, we stopped at a few other places and came home.

Saturday: I made a pot of chicken chili and we ate on that all day. We went shopping for a few things I wanted a few pairs of pants and we needed printer ink.

Sunday: up for gym and laundry day. Chili for lunch and DH made a chicken thing filled with ham and brocoli which was really good.

Thursday was the only day over calories. All other days were good.

I do have more energy to deal with the work BS, sister BS and YA BS, so the gym is a good thing now.

Have a great night IP!

Are those chicken breasts stuffed with han and broccoli? Yum!

bearcountrygg on 02/13/2018:
Is that a pressed sandwich?

horn_of_plenty on 02/13/2018:
perhaps instead of DQ, there's another lower cal frozen yogurt place to go to??? or, you can go home for dessert?? for greek yogurt and berries? perhaps you can change your taste buds preference for DQ? or get one to share with a coffee or tea with low cals? just a suggestion!

the sandwiches look awesome!

I was so busy at work, for no reason. If I am given a tast with a fast deadline I do the freakin' task. However, after spending half of my day on the task and turning it in, the HQs says, oh, yeah...you need to do it this way with this report! WTF?? you couldn't have put this information out at the same time? So all my work was for naught, but I did revise it and turn it back in this morning. I'm just about sick of incomplete information or instructions that are flat out wrong causing me to do something over. Stupid business practices.

I was hoping to leave early to get DH a card, but that didn't happen. But when I get home he has dinner made. A lasagna roll filled with chicken and artichoke hearts with a vodka marinara sauce. It was pretty tasty. Ended the night with 1231 calories.

DH had an interview today, so hopeful.

Sister called and gave me some disturbing news from home, so a little disgusted - nothing concerning anyone's health. My mother has had my step-dad's truck for almost 12 years now she will fix it, insure it and keep it current. Now for some reason she is willing to trade it to my nephews' dad (non working, ex-con, addict) for a car. It's not my business but both my sister and I agree she should jsut sell it and keep the money for herself. I tried to tell her, if she trades it or sells it to a member of the family they will expect her to pay for all future repairs and stuff, because they will continue to see it as hers. I know this from experience with the YA.

We have the girl tonight. No plans, but really not wanting to sit at home with her. Myaybe I will run an errand or something.

Not sure what is for dinner, I will be making a menu for next week over the weekend, so I will know.

B: English muffin, peanut butter, 1/2 banana

S: yogurt, blackberries, walnuts

L: BBQ pork, baked beans, cole slow a little mac & Cheese - lunch was brought in for the veteran's from a local BBQ place. I was told to go eat lunch as I am one of the veterans. It was pretty good.

Have a great night! IP

DH texts me and says the girl didn't go to school because she had a headache. And then she said her mother was on a job and she couldn't get any medicine. WTF?? So I asked her, so, you didn't go to school and your mom knew you had a headache and left to go do a job and didn't give you any medicine? She said yes. I said that's a dam fine mother you have over there. I said you couldn't take two aspirin or tylenol yourself? She says all the medicine is in her mother's bedroom and she isn't allowed in there? WTF?? You can't even make an exception and go get an aspirin? No...So apparently she sits at home all day with a headache. I asked her why she didn't call her dad (DH) who is also sitting at home doing nothing. He would have helped you. She says, well I didn't  think of that. Well, if you ask me, you deserve to have a headache all day then. (I didn't say that - but OMG I think it) I told her your dad told you to call/text him any time, I just don't understand why you don't? So anyway the girl didn't go to school because she had a headache and then when DH picked her up and gave her an Aleve, she was better in 20 minutes. That's some fast acting medicine, right there I tell ya. I say if she is too sick to go to school, she is too sick to leave her house and come to ours. My DH doesn't see this and got her anyway, because SHE wanted to go out to eat with us because we were doing DH's birthday and she was just fine!!

We went to eat steak, which wasn't a good thing with my calories. I only ate one roll, which I usually eat three or four. I only had a little bit of DH's fried onion but I ended the day with 2145 calories. OMG so many.

Was up at 4:30 and did the gym thing. I'm not liking the gym, but I like the gym because we are the only ones there until about 5:15 when a man shows up and rides a bike.

I will leave a little early from work today to get the DH a card for his birthday. I haven't thought of a gift yet. He really doesn't need anything.

I don't know what dinner will be - chicken of some kind.

B: english muffin, peanut butter, 1/2 banana

L: yogurt, walnuts, blackberries

S: balanced breaks

yeah the rolls are a killer, i could eat tons also....best to stick to one - once it leaves your mouth, the regret kicks in - it's just the taste while you chew it...then...the only reason we have another is for the taste...a waste !

today i ate my own lunch and just had a couple bites of the end of a pizza...best decision ever. NO regrets.

not in the mood to gain weight at this new location of my job...so taking my eating/nutrition/health into my own hands.

horn_of_plenty on 02/07/2018:
i do not feel a headache is a good reason to miss a day of school, btw.

Kinda sounds like an excuse not to go to school....I have to admit when I was her age...I had all the too sick for school excuses too. Love that you are hitting the gym early!!!

Well, I cleanup up as best I could. I wasn't even feeling sick, but I guess my body thought it was a free for all when I sneezed. Luckily I had a long sweater on and made it to the bathroom. Big mess! It was only 40 minutes to I was to leave, so I just made do.

DH and I did go to the gym Monday morning and we were so tired to went to bed at 8:47. Had a good night sleep.

B: cereal

L: met DH at Sam's club and ate pizza

D: shepherd's pie and salad

Tonight we are going out to eat for DH's 53rd birthday, well it is actually tomorrow, but we have the girl and he wanted her to come along. I don't know where he has decided to go.

Gym again in the a.m.

Have a great day! IP

Drama anyone?

OMG...Saturday as I was getting dressed, I got the worst charlie horse/cramp in my trapezius or terus major muscle in my back, I couldn't raise my arms or breath. At first I thought I was having a heart attack but after it subsided I knew it was a charlie horse. I was sore there the rest of the day. I had DH massage it off and on most of the day, he said I had a knot the size of an egg under my shoulder. I took a muscle relaxer and Aleve and slep most of the day on and off. It was so sore. Sunday it was better, still sore, but at least I can breath easier. Very scary for me at first.

Due to the muscle relaxer I didn't do much. I did make a turkey meat loaf that was ok with some brocolli mac and cheese. And then the YA comes over - haven't seen him since Christmas and brings another round of drama with him. Apparently he got into an argument with his cousin and he got kicked out of the Grandma's house and now he doesn't have anywhere to live with his skanky girlfriend. They cam over and he cried on DH's shoulder (which was sad but still) He's been kicked out of three places in the last eight months, I'm thinking he's the problem. He was saying the cousin body slammed him into a wall and he had to go to the ER and told DH to expect an ER bill. DH said...that's in your name, not mine. You expect a ER bill and oh you have an ER bill on our refrigerator from the last time you went to the ER, you know the time you pretended to work.

Anyway, they stayed about an hour and left. Then DH got a text asking if they could stay with us. OK Yeah...right! First off, you tell me I'm mean to your sister and make her cry and then you tell me I stress her out because I make her do homework and you want to live with ME!! Slow your roll there Mr. That will not happen unless you take yourself back to school. You will not live in my house until you go back to school and be a productive human being. And your scanky GF is NOT staying here all day, everyday while I get my @ss up and go to work. He stayed at his mother's house.

DH tried to call him all day Sunday, but someone miraculously his step-father was able to find him an apartment to live and he will have to do some maintenance work during the evenings. Well good luck buddy, hope that works out for you. Oh and you'll have to pay for electricity, cable, gas, water and trash service, so don't think it's just going to be a flat $400 a month. I will give you a bed and dishes if you need but that is all.

DH made a nasty-hard-to-eat pork stew that was really disgusting, but I ate a bowl of it and a corn bread muffin.

will continue this later - just had an accident...at work...and yuck!

Oh Boy...it haws been rough at your house.......D had a muscle cramp in his shoulder a few months ago and went to the er thinking he was having a heart attack too...in fact they thought so themselves....did lots of tests and sent him home with a presc.....scared us too. Drink extra water.

horn_of_plenty on 02/06/2018:
i sorta agree, that he shouldn't live with you.

Yeah a muscle pull or stretch wrong can hurt!

I had a strained neck muscle for one week, it hurt to breathe when i moved my body wrong, it's healed thankfully since last week and all better.

happy-1 on 02/06/2018:
I know this thing looks like plastic ebay junk but it really works. It's better than a muscle relaxer but I still take turmeric daily and sometimes ibuprofen for the inflammation. The theracane works because you position the knob yourself and then breathe into it and apply the pressure using your own body weight. Have been off muscle relaxers for a year now.

Had leftover chicken alfredo for dinner - ended the night with 1238 calories.

Didn't go to the gym

BUT was up this morning at 4:30 and went. I loved it, because we were the only ones there until about 5:10. I don't particularly like the gym, but if I can get there with no people, I would benefit greatly. Got home showered and came to work. I took an Aleve, so hopefully I won't get too sore.

B: cereal, milk, 1/2 english muffin

S: yogurt, black berries, granola

L: skipped

S: balanced breaks, small piece of german chocolate cake for Marty's BD at work. I didn't eat it all because it had dark chocolate ganache on it, and it tasted so bitter to me.

D: chicken fried stead, mashed potatos and gravy, green beans

Should be ok, depending on how big the peice of steak is -

The girl is over this weekend.

DH said he would go to the gym in the AM before she wakes up, she won't even get on a machine when we go, she aggravates me

Have a great weekend! IP

horn_of_plenty on 02/02/2018:
ever have a balsamic vinagrette with your chicken / noodle dishes.

with her at the gym, she's afraid - you have to show her how to use the machine.

next, make it only a goal of 15 minutes, and hopefully she has good music in her phone to listen to and headphones...! that should help?

innerpeace on 02/05/2018:
I've tried. I even put her on a recumbant bike and she would NOT do it. I was right next to her on another bike. She was embarrassed and thinks everyone is just watching her. She's a brat!

horn_of_plenty on 02/05/2018:
you gotta help her ... explain how nobody cares about the other person at a gym...that it's not a bunch of teens....that people go for THEMSELVES more than to watch her...and that nobody is looking at her bc she's 13...and too young for most normal men to consider lol....! something to that effect but maybe tamer...but you gotta get her to realize nobody's watchin.

DH made a terrific chicken alfreado baked dish with a kale salad, it was all very good.

The girl got her report card so they decided to go to DQ afterwards to celebrate. I was always told not to celebrate with food, but caved and joined them. Ended the day with 1944 calories, thanks to that delicious treat afterwards.

Proud of the girl though, she made three As, two Bs and a C in social studies. She did say she wanted to do art and choir in highschool. We will see how long this lasts.

Slept well, actually kept waking up thinking I was oversleeping. I really am much more comfortable and feel so much more safer with DH there during the night.

Today, DH is going for an interview, it is about 35 miles awhile, but he needs something pretty quick. I have all kinds of faith that he will find something, but there is always that little jab in the back of my brain wondering what if he doesn't? That little unemployment better kick in or else I will have to start penny pinching in a big way. Also the tax return will help some, but I had other plans for that...and it didn't include covering a mortgage payment.

B: English muffin, peanut butter 1/2 banana

S: yogurt, blackberries, granola

L: left over chicken alfredo

S: balanced breaks

D: I think left over chicken alfredo

We have the girl this weekend. If the weather isn't too unbearable cold, we may go to the ice sculputure festival, we went last year it was kind of nice. There is also a home and garden show I want to go to, but we will see.

Have a great Thursday....oh yeah and its gym night!

Celebrating with food has always been our family's way also. Whenever we have a birthday, anniversary, date night, girl's sport team win, etc. They all include food. For me, I have to limit my portion size or find a better substitution. For DQ, I'd normally order the Banana Split with 510 calories or Peanut Buster Parfait with 710 calories. Recently I've been choosing the fudge bar with 50 calories.

I'll be honest. It's a struggle. The fudge bar doesn't hold a candle to the Peanut Buster Parfait, but it does allow me to have a treat without feeling guilty afterwards.

horn_of_plenty on 02/02/2018:
i hope girlie DOES do art and choir. those things are important for overall success bc they teach creativity and also add enjoyment into the learning process...and also socialization with friends that may take part in those two classes...if she's good at art, she can become even an ART TEACHER. good money there! i know one, personally.

i'm like not creative at all which is why i could NEVER be an art teacher. However, i could have seen that for you ! you'd have made an excellent art instructor which is why maybe the girlie is talented in this...? pays well. just needs a good education / college and possibly masters (need masters in NYC after a few years of teaching). if i'd continued the teacher route, which i didn't, money would be a non-issue. but that's long in the past now.

horn_of_plenty on 02/02/2018:

Food last night - meh! It as good but you know that feeling when you know you just want to nosh on a big fat juicy cheese burger!! THAT!

DH made baked salmon and roasted vegetables and steamed asparagus - I have concluded I'm not a fan of asparagus.

Beets make for some interesting times...red poop and red urine! If you don't know, it could make some alarming times.

Ended the night with 1377 calories.

Crazy dreams last night and then my dog wants to whine likes he a puppy and can't make it down the stairs. I got up with him, gave him some fresh water and a snack. He went back to bed after he went outside and barked for five minutes.

We have the girl tonight - no plans.

DH took the taxes in to get done, we get some back, but somehow owe the stupid city $200 bucks. Whatever!!

I had a telehealth Move call from the VA. My coordinator put me on for six more months. He said I was close to my goal of getting under 300 and asked me what happened. uh...LIFE!! Priorities are askew, I give up! So I will keep on answering my 7:00 a.m. phone call.
