WOW! Just wow, so emotionally drained about the Indians. I tried to go to bed, but the neighbors were having an outside gazebo party or something and when the Indians tied the game 6 - 6, they were honking horns, yelling and screaming. This sets my dog off, so I decided to get back up and watch the end of it...Sadness! Oh well, they will do better next year. I think I finally got to sleep about 1:15 and then was up again at 5:15 - so four hours of sleep is good, not the best but I'll take what I can get.

I did cancel the Y membership, because we went 1 time as a family in six months and then I went to three classes, so that will be a savings. DH thinks he will have surgery by the end of the month and he will be out of commission for about six - eight weeks. I will miss his pay check coming in, but I hope it finally helps his pain.

Crazy things at work...inventory. I hate it!

Last night we got the girl. We had leftovers, she showered and did homework. I walked the dog and watched OU football.

Tonight I am meeting a few girls I worked with at CSU for dinner, so this should be pleasant.

Tomorrow DH and I have tickets to Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory play and we were talking about doing dinner out, we will see.

I may start another project with a changing table...we'll see how I feel.

I'm in Chicago and also a Cubs fan (although not a fanatic fan), and this series was so hard to watch. I felt bad for the Indians. It would have been much easier to cheer on the Cubs if we were playing the Yankees or something like that because they are always contenders for the World Series.

I hear ya on the membership. That's why my husband and I canceled ours several years ago. He never went and I hurt my back and foot and couldn't use most of the equipment there. Turns out then they went out of business 6 months later.

I don't know what we would do without my husband's income, but if he decides to stop working next year and try (and WAIT) for SSD, it will be very hard for us.

We picked up the girl and went to the diner. i had meatloaf, green beans and mashed potatos. I saved half. I had cheesecake. I'm not proud of this.

When DH goes to wash his hands the girl tells me her mother and Marty were fighting when we picked her up. I hate this for her. She is much too young to go through all this drama. She asked for my help on her homework, which I gladly do. While I was helping with the homework DH walked the dog.

The whole city has an angst about them - it is funny how everyone has personal interest in winning the World Series. It is exciting I know that for sure. I was sitting on the edge of my seat only to be disappointed so early in the game. Well tonight is another night, this is the last time to shine! So shine bright Tribe! Do great things out there!

B: biscuit, bacon, iced vanilla latte

L: ham and cheese sandwich, cheezits

S: yogurt

D: something with chicken. DH said he was going to cook it in the oven because...no propane still.

I am going to the Y. We decided that since we don't use it regularly that it is time to cancel the membership. DH can't do any physical work (knee issues) and he wants to swim. He can only swim on Friday evening and Saturday evening. He wants to swim when he wants to swim, not when the Y says he can swim, which I understand. It is also almost fifteen miles away, it takes us longer to get there and back than it does to actually workout.

did you at least enjoy the cheesecake? it's ok to enjoy! i don't really enjoy those types of desserts anymore, bc i have so many better options that are low calorie. i have found a ton of substitutions to satisfy my sweet tooth galore!

I was disappointed the Indians lost. I was rooting for them. Cheesecake happens! LOL! Apparently so does Coconut Cream pie. I had some homemade at a restaurant yesterday! I really enjoyed it, though. We will both have better food choices today!

We had left over noodles and London broil. It was ok. DH passed out candy and I walked the dog. We had lots of trick or treaters, I don't recall seeing this many live in the neighborhood.

DH was cold afterwards and turned up the heat, ergo, once he warms up he gets out and throws all the covers to my side of the bed and then I get out. I woke up at 4:00 and was tempted to stay up and do yoga or something, but I turned on the fan and went back to sleep, just to get up by 5:30 and get ready for work.

D: DH said subway, not sure

We have the girl tonight, not sure what she has to do...homework or what.

I myself love the taste of the flatbreads from Subway. both the plain white and we also have a local whole wheat! love them! Seriously the reason i buy Subway is just for their taste flatbread! But lately, I'm not as inclined...luckily I'm off my desire for Subway lately..

London broil sounds so tasty like it hits the spot. I'm sure a stew with it would be awesome like in a crockpot! I don't eat a lot of red meat but it's not because i don't like it - more because i don't eat big portions and all those things get wasted when i buy...a little meat goes well with veggies!

Sleep is important. Last night i got so much & I'm still sleeping...dang sleeping pills might be too much for me right now! LOL.

Again I got sidetracked with my creative writing, however, that is over today, so BOO!

Friday we put chicken into the crockpot and when we got home we should have some yummy chicken chili ready. DH's sister is supposed to drop by, she lives over 3 hours away and has come up for alternative reasons, but since she is here she said she would drop by. It was OK. DH spent the most time with her, I tried to NOT be rude. I invited her for dinner, but she said she needed to get back home.

Settled in for chili and baseball!

Saturday the girl and I ran some errands however I didn't get to the last two which was cancelling the YMCA membership and getting Steve's nails clipped. He is sliding around on the floor, very funny to watch, especially if he is in a hurry. I will get this done next weekend.

Again we had chili because I made so much, matter-of-fact DH will probably eat it everyday for lunch this week.

Sunday I was up at 4:30 because of bad dreams, I took a shower and went downstairs. I started laundry and fell asleep in the recliner until about 8:30 woke up with a pounding headache and after that it was just blah! I didn't leave the house, but the laundry got completed quite early.

B: blueberry bagel with cream cheese

L: cheezits, brownie

D: kinda beef strognoff but no sour cream - DH made this and enough for tonight's dinner.

Not too bad eating this weekend, but I could not get up and around -

Chicken chili sounds good. I doubt i'll ever have time in the near future for being home enough to learn to use a crock pot. Do you put anything in it to help with cleaning? like do you use aluminum foil or anything to prevent the foood from getting on the actual pot? or is there a shortcut way to keep it relatively clean?

I'm sure the chicken meat tasted absolutely great and slid right off the bone after cooking for a long period of time. so nice.!

in terms of the headache and everything, sounds to me like you needed some rest which you got later in the day...sorry you weren't feeling that well.

unlike your weekend, i was sorta forced to get around...now i'm tired LOL.

There are crock pot plastic liners/inserts you can use in the crock pot, but I never have.

I didn't use chicken with bones. I have an aversion to chicken with bones, that grosses me out, so I used boneless chicken. Afterwards I just let the pot soak for a few hours and I never have trouble with cleaning it.

DH got the girl took her to the dentist - 2 cavities...what the what!! This makes me sad. I guess it is too much of a hassle for her mother to ensure the girl brushes her teeth. DH took her to the library for the haunted ginger bread house. I guess she had a good time. DH then went to Subway, since he didn't get home until right at 7:00. The girl's mom is usually there before 8:00. We eat and both of them take a shower and she is gone.

DH asked about the class at the gym, I just told him that I decided to stay home. I did take the dog on an extra long walk, so I don't feel bad.

We settled in watched the Tribe lose - hope they win tommorow.

S: protein bar

L: two pieces of ham and cheese rolled up. cheezits

S: gummy fruit

D: DH took out a meat that he wanted to grill - uh no propane, so either we come up with something else or we will be going out. I think he liked the sound of going out so who knows what will be for dinner. I would love to sit at the sushi bar, but DH not so much!

It is cold and rainy today in the CLE so not much on the agenda.

Cavities = annoying when the person is just a kid. Didn't get my first cavities till i was in my 20's...but...had an exceptional dentist in the tri-state area, doubtful most are so lucky as I growing up (but that's a side note, not trying to boast.) For a long time now, I know I am very lucky compared to just about most..

Love Subway too :-) I had it last night also...but it's really not that filling because it's all bread....i tend to eat too high calories sometimes if i eat extra after it...which is what i did last night i ended up having too many chips in combo with the sandwich which makes it sorta high calorie....but still lower cal than fried food, i'd say. mc'd's and burger king whoppers are more calories.

lol...i see you like yourself some gummy fruit?

Cold & Rainy here too...be safe on the roads, IP. I have already heard of someone being in an accident with her car. But she is ok. Take care 7 stay well! :-D

Yesterday picked up DH, he did mow the yard one more time, homefully that will be the last time. We have reported ice pellets today at work..ACK! I walked the dog and found a jewelry box someone was throwing out. I picked it up and some jewelry and stuff was left in it...too bad I don't wear clip on earings. Lots of braclets and neckaces, one cool ring, a couple of broken watches and several pairs of clip on earrings and broaches. I also found a set of car keys, but, since there were two - one for the ignition and one for the trunk I figured that car was long gong, so I just tossed them in the garbage. Neat find for the girl.

Dinner: DH grilled chicken and was going to make quesadillas, but the propne tank went empty and he had to finish up on the stove. The onions were grilled and carmelized and they were delicious. The avocado sat a couple of days too long on the window sill and that got pitched in the trash.

DH is picking up the girl today and taking her to the dental apointment. She then as a haunted house ginger bread activity at the library he is taking her to. I am 'going to class' when I'm actually going to go walk at the park. This has helped considerably and I enjoy the alone time. This weekend will of course be a whole different story.

Stayed up and watched the TRIBE win!! Hope they do it again tonight. I am thankful the weather is rolling in causing an earlier start, because last night I didn't get to bed until almost midnight.

yes very cold a shocker here too in NYC. Woke up in the low 40's...had to turn on my heat!

yes, neat find for the girl as far as the earrings and stuff!

LOVE quesadillas but don't eat them often because they are too tasty and i tend to pig out on them...!

LOVE grilled / roasted onions though...i once bought only those type of onions at the store!....

enjoy the walk at the part for sure...hopefully it stays decently comfortable for walking weather out there! :) dress warm!!

Working on about 3/12 hours of sleep. I will chalk it up to eating a slice of pumpkin roll at 9:15, I think that sugar kept me up all night long. I tried to go to bed at 11:00, but tossed and turned and went back downstairs at 11:45. I stayed up until 2:45. I remember looking at the clock at 3:15 wondering if I would every get to sleep and then I was up at 5:30 and Tuesday always seems so long in my office, so making it through this afternoon is going to be a struggle.

DH wanted to do yard work tonight. I'm thinking, uh NO, but I do have to get the weeds out of the flowerbeds, hopefully this will be the last time. DH also has an appointment with the surgeon next week to decide on his knee surgery. One recommended a partial knee replacement, but if a total knee replacement is inevitable, wouldn't you think they would do it now? Whatever he decides I sure hope it helps this time, the last ten months he has been miserable.

I have been keeping myself busy, I think I go from one neurotic past-time to another. I have a friend who is a writer and she was posting a picture a day (something crazy and/or eerie for the month of October) to write a flash fiction story about, so for the last three weeks II've been challenging myself with coming up with a creative store - that the picture inspired. I have been having a lot of fun and trying to be creative. This has kept me from playing so much candy crush, but like I said, it's so just all or nothing. I just can't seem to spend a little amont of time on each or just one. And of course I have to watch my fair share of sports.

Saturday - This was a kidless weekend, which I love. Saturday, I was up and walked the dog and cleaned the house a little. I ran to the store to pick up a few things. I ask DH what he wanted for dinner, he didn't set anything out, so I picked up stuff and made Salisbury steak, roasted acorn squash and a red cabbage slaw with cilantro and lime. It was all pretty tasty. I watch football most of the evening.

Sunday - Laundry! DH went shopping.

L: pizza from Wal-mart

D: malt-o-meal - I love this stuff.

I received a promotion at work, but since then I have been making nothing but errors! OMG, it has been terrible. I didn't even want to get up and come to work today...and I hate property inventory! Now, I've been task to find a creative something activity for the work folks - because I haven't done anything since the Kentucky Derby.

Tonight I think we are having chicken quesadillas with avocado.

I get so busy! Friday was just a long long day, I get sad because we go get the girl for the weekend. As always this makes me feel down. DH gets in the car and tells me that she is at her grandmother's house. I said OK. As we are driving I get a text message from his ex-wife telling me the girl is at her grandmothers. I'm like does she not think DH will say anything to me? Anyway DH texts her back and says - yes DH told me. She replies OK great! Like we are best friends or something - NOT the case.

We get the girl and she is in long pants and boots and her heavy coat - it is not cold out.

We get home and cook dinner - we usually go out on Friday's but didn't due to plans all weekend.

Saturday morning DH gets up and goes to work. I don't even pretend like I'm going to class, I just roll over and go back to sleep. I am up and about at 8:00 though. I get the girl up. She asks what are we doing. I told her we have a play to go to in the evening and I wanted to watch a football game at noon. But before that we were going to a book sale. We get ready to go and she has flip flops on. I tell her to go and get her other sneakers on - she says - they don't match what I am wearing. OMG - you picked them out - you wear them. They are green and pink. She only brought her boots, and she wasn't wearing flip flops! She put the shoes on and we stop at a garage sale the people comment that her shoes are beautiful, fun and they just loved them. she didn't take the shoes off.

We got to the book store and then come home. I tried to watch the football game, but she is watching Disney channel on the iPAD and the volume is up as loud as it will go. I asked her to turn it down and she does, for a minute. I just would rather watch football then deal with this.

DH finally gets home and showers and we head out to see the BFG play, which was very cute and funny. We ate at an Italian restaruant, which was ok.

We get home about 10:00 pm. Sunday we are up again about 8:30 and get motivated. We were going to a Bugle Days Elk Farm for a tour. It was fantastic. We got to see lots of elk, try the elk meat, which is leaner than chicken and have a farm tour. It was a good afternoon. I get home and do the laundry thing.

L: no lunch

D: teriaki chicken, rice, green beans

S: piece of pumpkin roll

Monday was work.

Tuesday was work - but I left early. I came back and picked up DH and again we go for the girl. She never ceases to piss me off. She gets in the car with these ugly thong shoes on and says her sneakers are soaking wet because her dog peed on them. Are you kidding me right now? She has three pairs of sneakers. oh well! We get home and do what we do. Which is lsten to her babble because we can't hear the television. DH is oblivious he just sits in his chair looking at the his phone.

Wednesday work.  Just work stuff and stuff and I'm sick of work.

I did get on the scale and weight about 4 pounds less, but I will post this later.

Yesterday I left the house before DH and the girl got home. I again didn't go to the gym but to the park. I walked as far as I could, sat a minute and then walked back to my car - it was almost 2 miles. The park closes at sunset, so i was rushing to get back. I saw several deer, it was quiet and pleasant and I should do this more often.

I get home and eat the delicious dinner my DH has prepared - I say this in sarcasm because he said he 'didn't feel like cooking' WTH - well I didn't feel like 'going to the gym" either. He buys Burger King! - Still haven't told him about the gym thing. I will after it is over. I like walking better though.

D: 1/2 whopper, NO fries, DDP

It's great how I woke up with no body pain, this is the third day in a row - so this makes me happy.

B: FAGE yogurt - iced vanilla latte

S: protein bar

L: 1/2 turkey pastrami sandwich, cheezits

S: balanced breaks

D: TBD - the chicken is thawed from last night it may or may not get cooked.

I am looking forward to taking my dog for walk - he loves it - me I may start to love it.

Weekend looks pretty busy with the girl. Play in Barberton, OH on Saturday and then there is a Autumn Bag Lady Tour we are thinking about and somewhere, somehow grocery shopping and laundry.

I am so happy you are doing an activity that you enjoy. Walking is great for your health. I remember when i was jogging tons. Boy do i miss it. Getting back into it though, little by little. Still I tend to walk around 1.5 miles i think usually when i do? You are doing awesome!

Keep on walking. Paying for the gym was good for you because you ended up realizing that you enjoy the park!

not too bad on dinner, good you had the drink to fill you up...that's a good idea...to eat a little, then sip the drink till your stomach is content!

if you don't feel like cooking, you can do chinese food...some meat and veggie dishes even! sauce on side even or get the normal dishes and get extra steamed veggies with it? you don't HAVE to cook to eat veggies. this is how i do it....sometimes $$$ though.

Good for you again walking in the park. That is what I do - we are lucky enough to have several city parks with walking tracks of varying distances in our two and three are within short driving distance of me - on is within walking distance. We wee deer and other animals all the time. We even have some coyote! We have seen wild turkey - all kinds of birds, too. It can be very peaceful and relaxing. You may find your true "InnerPeace" there.
