Was up at 4:45 and did about 45 minutes of Zumba and drank some green tea. Took over an hour to get to work because of the snow.

Picked up my new car today...

I am sorry about your back pain. Maybe bath salts? The Epsom salt i mean, if you look it up first of course? Also you may need to just relax more...so sorry you aren't feeling great.

Don't let the doctor discourage you because you have been doing not good, but GREAT, on your goals and lifestyle changes. Do NOT fall through the cracks and stop all the good you have implemented in your life :-D

Woke up with horrible back pain this morning - spasms Did take some pain meds and went shopping with DH Armor alled the inside of the car Finished the three loads of laundry

Back still tender

Ended with more calories than I like 1574

DH and I went out to eat last night - didn't make it a month but it was a mutual decision. I ate a prime rib hoagie, French fries and cottage cheese- ended the night with 1474 calories.

Up last night for about 1 1/2 hours, up at 6:00 with DH and then I finally got up around 9:30 felt so groggy. Bummed around the house and finally decided to clean out my car and found $10. Spent the morning texting DHs son about the car...

B: toast, peanut butter, iced vanilla latte

L: goldfish crackers

D: bacon and eggs toast

I ended the day with 1385 calories.

Yesterday was hectic and of course nothing ever goes as planned. I left work at 12:45, I drove to my VA appointment and was there at 1:40ish (appointment at 2:00). I was checked in and then told that the person who missed her a.m. appointment had just arrived and she would be seen first. So I'm stuck in a room...and I nod off because - comfort, dim lighting, after lunch = nap time! I may have dozed for 20 minutes when I decided to start playing with my phone.  DH and I were working with the loan officer in OKC to get the loan for the new car. Wouldn't you know as soon as I picked up that phone, in walks the doctor. (I should have picked it up sooner - but...nap)!

Weight was higher with clothes and shoes on than when I weigh at home naked out of the shower - this discouraged me! The dr. also was concerned about the A1C...again? I have been eating so good, again so discouraged! She started talking about colonoscopies and menopause because...almost 50! She wants to see me back in 6 months...oh well I can do great things in six months!

I had intentions of going to the insurance office to check on step-son's insurance price for when he takes my car and insurance for the new car, but because I didn't leave the appointment until 3:10 that wasn't a possibility because my dog Steve had his appointment at 4:00 to get his third shot, so rushed home and picked him up and he's like - no I'm not getting back in the car and didn't go so nicely - he is worse than a kid sometimes.

After he got his shot I was going to pick up the girl and no one was home. I texted the POS and she said they were dropping the other girl off at the bowling alley and had lost track of time - they were on their way. So while I was waiting I called the insurance (they close at 5:00 - and it is now after 4:00). Sticker shock for insurance for this 18 year old kid who just received his license - OMG! $129.00 per month for liability only...holy cow!

Finally the girl shows up and we go home - DH walks in about ten minutes later and we cook the dinner.

Air fried chicken, baby potatoes and salad - it was very good. I ended the night with 1280 calories. I spent the next two hours helping the girl with periodical table homework and social studies and did not even think about my journal entry until this morning.

I did not get up for zumba this morning - because partly still discouraged with doctor and I was so warm and snugly and I just didn't want to and I let my fitbit battery drain again - not missing steps. I may do it this evening or just take the day off.  (My fitbit used to last about a week before needed charged, now I think it is down to three days - I'll have to monitor this better)

S: honey and peanut butter crackers

L: roast beef, cream cheese wrap

S: string cheese

D: no clue

On the way to work it was 32 degrees with snow flurries - as we were pulling out of our housing addition - I see a boy waiting on the school bus with shorts on. I made the comment - OMG I can't believe his parents let him out of the house with shorts on - what's wrong with people these days? And DH replies with....how is that any different than a dress? Touche DH...touche! Girls wear dresses in all kinds of weather.

I have lots of things planned this weekend, depending on weather.

We should get new car - next Monday or Tuesday depending on when dealer gets the check from the credit union.

YOU CAN DO GREAT THINGS IN 6 months! That's a ton of time. do NOT get discouraged. please keep doing what you are doing, you are doing very, very well.

excellent cals and healthy eating. always know you can bulk up on veggies when you are hungry!

i need to cook more of my own meats and can't wait to start roasting veggies. i got a new tray and silicon top just for roasting!

DH and I picked up the girl and they dropped me off. DH took the girl to her therapist appointment. I think it went pretty good. DH called and had the therapist on the phone, she asked me what my concerns were. I told her I feel the girl is being bullied at her mom's house. Now come to find out, they forbid her to talk to her brother on facebook. That is just so bullish to me!  I told her I feel she has to act differently depending on whose house she was at and I just thought she was confused a little and felt she needed an outside person to talk to. Between DH and the mother - I do feel I spend more one on one time with the girl than either of those two do. After dinner I asked the girl if she was ok talking to her and if she felt comfortable, she said yes and will go back. I was happy about that. I told her if at any point she felt she didn't have anything else to say and felt better about the situation, she didn't have to go anymore. I just want her to turn out to be a well rounded individual.

I made a pizza with the cauliflower crust, it didn't hold together as well as I wanted it to, but it still tasted nice. I made a pizza with a canned crust as well if the cauliflower one didn't taste good. It did. They were topped with pepporoni, ground turkey, onions, bell pepper, mushrooms, spinach and cheese - pretty cool way to eat pizza. I ended the night with 1309 calories.

I slept OK last night, but had a hard time getting up this morning. Only did zumba for the 20 minutes express instead of the 40 I've been doing...so sleepy...4:30 comes way too fast.

B: yogurt, iced vanilla latte

S: apple

L: left over cauliflower pizza, honey mustard pretzels

S: orange, string cheese

D: something with pork DH took out

Tomorrow is the VA appointment - I feel OK, hate, HATE getting on the scale, but I will.

After work DH and I went and talked to a guy about a car. i can't believe how much new cars costs these days. It's a daunting experience to say the least. I want what I want, don't try to talk me into something you need to sell...@sshat sales people! We will see what happens.

Got home and DH air fried some chicken, and we ate the new riced vegetables (califlower and sweet potatoes - these are awesome for 80 calories) and a salad. I had a yogurt after dinner for dessert. It was raining so Steve didn't get to go for his walk, I don't think he is up to it yet anyway. Ended the day with 1257 calories. Love this!

Went to sleep about 9:45 and again was up way too early. I hear things and DH snores and I just lay there waiting. Finally my alarm goes off at 4:40 and I turn it off, and I think I hear my patio door opening. My dog is barking but not a mean-I'll-bit-your-head off bark. I kept lying there trying to hear if something weird or different. It took me a few minutes to get downstairs. Did the zumba, drank a cup of green tea then headed back upstairs for the shower.

B: yogurt (100 calories) , iced vanilla latte (163 calories)

S: breakfast protein bar (170 calories)

L: wrap with left over chicken (277) appled (95 calories) honey mustard pretzels

S: balanced breaks 190

D: pizza with califlower bread and ground turkey cheese and pizza stuff

DH and the girl are going to the therapist office, will see how that turns out - I reminded the girl Sunday, she didn't seem to enthused.

Work is very slow today, goes from one extreme to the other - or it could be a typical Tuesday.

My work has been really slow too, but i am not sorry about it. It's good to be able to show up & be paid for my time in this office no matter how slow or fast, you know?

I spend the time, luckily, online & reading articles and sites and keeping my mind active. The internet is a blessing for us in office jobs!

I guess it depends on the car. When i get a new car, it may not be american, but either way, it's not going to be a pricey jeep or something like that - because they aren't in my price range. Cars are expensive, but, get a cheaper model / brand and you'll save a ton. They still have lots of safety requirements and stuff to pass so i feel that getting a cheaper car over a more expensive car in order to save money is totally worth it. unless a person has tons of $$$ to splurge on something better with, than by all means...!

how do u rice a sweet potato? i had only heard of that last night from someone's post on facebook....is it the same, just use a blender? so healthy girlfriend! you are eating better than me these days!

what kind of yogurts do you have, Greek? either way, excellent 100 cal snack after your dinner. healthy, low cal. I have been doing this with my low cal ice cream. moderation, not the whole darn pint anymore. :-D

maybe talk the girl up about therapy and why and that you want the best for her and that you realize she is having a tough living situation or maybe that's the wrong word - tough - but that you want her to have everything and the best of everything and that you want her to be very successful always in life...and want her to speak to someone besides you... <3 good luck and let us know..

crazy night. My poor dog is still in pain from the two shots he got on Saturday. Sunday he didn't want to walk and last night he woke me up. At first I thought he wanted some fresh water but he just went back to sleep when I went downstairs. DH and I went to bed about 9:20, this is very early for me, so when the dog was growling at me at 12:30 I thought I had slept the entire night.

I was up from 12:30 until 3:00. I couldn't get back to sleep. I did get up at 4:40 to do zuma. I did about 40 minutes of Zumba and then had a cup of Acai Berry green tea. Puppy was curled up in bed when I got out of the shower and he whined when I tried to move him over. I feel so bad for him. Poor thing!

Work was, for lack of better words, stupd for Monday. I can't understand how someone can't learn how to enter their time for the holiday. It's not like we have one a year. I fixed it...it's my job! but you're a moron!

Same at my work...we all have to write our own time sheets and everyone always screws them up! I wonder how i can do it so simply...but in all honesty i once made a mistake and almost missed out on an hour's pay haha...because of the computer excel form i didn't do the formula right...

...but then we have a lot of new folks all the time in my dept lately and they don't know that sick days get only 7 hours pay and holidays get 8....

i think our sheets for payroll are actually confusing? but they don't confuse me!

sorry about Steve :-( i'm sure he'll feel better real soon...

what kind of wraps do you use? are they low carb or regular wraps? i have found some excellent wraps that are so low calorie it's almost amazing - 60-80 cals per wrap! so low. that's why i eat them, for months and prob years i love these. Tumaro's is the brand and only sold mostly in specialty stores not the smaller regular supermarkets.

good luck with girlie, please let us know how it went. i hope she gets a good therapist. some therapists are just not that good. i hope this one is a good match.

The wraps are flat-outs - 90 calories 5-7 carbs. They are edible - kinda weird texture though but I can deal with it.

Up at 8:00 - crossword puzzle and iced vanilla latte. Piddled around the house until about 10:30 when I started laundry.

DH made a monkey bread with canned biscuits for breakfast.

Lunch I made a chicken and broccoli crescent roll ring and then for dinner we had left over chicken chili and char sui pork I had marinating most is the morning. Finished the night with some yogurt and1453 calories.

I tried to walk Steve but he is still abit sore and turned around after four houses. Poor little guy. A relaxing day - not looking forward to tomorrow.

DH and I have been contemplating getting a new car the last couple of months and now DHs son is saying he wants my car to drive to work. But he wants it today! Uh that's really not what I had planned and now I'm the evil stepmother! Oh well I'm not the one who let him drop out of school! Brat!

it's amazing how better food choices make us feel and look better. my skin is becoming actually radiant and the pimples are going away. so nice. i'm gonna work to keep it this way. So it's not only about calories, but our food choices...i'm working on the latter now.

Made it home and made my turkey meatballs in the air fryer. Turned out amazing! Ended the night with 1037 - a good number. Thanks to Zumba!

Sleep was so-so kept getting out and the girl's ceiling fan was making strange noises so I snuck in her room about 2:00 and turned it off.

Awake at 6:00 to get DH out of bed and to work. Went back to sleep and was up about 8:00. Left at 9:15 to take Steve to vet. He is super mad at me tonight! And his shoulder is sore where he got two shots. He goes back on Thursday for the third.

Shopped a little came home cleaned a little...

L: left over turkey meatballs and noodles

D: white chicken chili, Fritos, sour cream and some cheese

S: apple, yogurt

We took the girl to see Monster Trucks - very cute. I was very proud of them. DH had a water, the girl ate an orange and ME an apple. Usually they hog down a large buttered popcorn and large soda. So great win! Finished with 1477 calories. Happy with that.

I get home and we have the quinoa crunch patties and avocado - I do not eat bread with mine. I have a yogurt afterwards. I ended the day with 1441 calories. I walked me dog and collected a poop sample for his vet apointment on Saturday monring, usually I can never get one the day of or day before, because dogs just don't poop on command.

Conversation last night - Me: what do you want for dinner tomorrow? (Remember DH is trying to clean out the freezer)

DH: There is that fish still in there (it is a bag of frozen fish)

Me: Oh I didn't realize we still had some.

DH: yes, there is one and 1/2 bags still in the freezer.

That was the end of the conversation. He falls asleep in the recliner and I watch Project Runway. We go to bed.

On the way to work DH asks me a bizaare question...again - ha asked me this question about two days ago...who do I think killed JFK?

Everyday I wake up and tell myself not to be mean, but when I've had the same conversation with my DH and he can't remember what I've said this is NOT my fault! He says I don't remember! I just think to myself...maybe if he cared enough he would remember. I truly think people only remember what they want to,, or seriously could people's memories really be that bad?

Anyway, I didn't answer and said exactly that - I told you this before! So anyway, at work I text DH and tell him I am leaving to go and get my blood drawn for a doctor's appointment next week. Did he want anything from the store. He said we are eating fish tonight! My reply was tonight? I don't eat fish on Friday's (no offense to Catholics) and we used to go out on Friday's but since we are saving money on dining out....

After I get my blood drawn I go home and watch the inauguration and set out ground turkey. I have decided to make the Hawaiian meat balls for dinner - no fish for me today! Then I get a text from the little girl saying she tripped over a leg chair at school and went home early with a twisted ankle. I asked if she wanted to go to the doctor - as I was just down the street, she said no! I asked if she still wanted to come over, she said yes...

Anyway, I did get up this morning at 4:35 and did about 40 minutes of zumba. After DH put my strip of carpet in the family room, it was much better.

B: maple & french toast flavoried granola, green tea (I bought this green tea at Burlington coat factory it says that it contains carcinia combogia to help with cravings. I drank this and will not drink it again. I swear it tasted just like I was drinking tea straight out of an ashtray! Back in the day when people smoked in diners, I would bus tables and have to wipe these ashtrays out and it smells just like that! Disgusting!

Not many plans this weekend. I would like to declutter some areas, we'll see how that works out.
