Well I guess I can not credit no dairy to no breakouts because I have two more that are erupting. Ugh!! I hate this more than being fat!

Still feel that I have something caught in the back of my throat, a tickle, that just wants me to cough. This is getting rather annoying!

Slept all night and had crazy dreams but I was able to get up easier this morning. We did have to leave earlier because I drop DH off, he DID NOT want to go back to work this morning. I told him to call me if he needed to leave early. He texted at lunch and said he was fine, just a little achy. I guess he will stay there and finish the day.

I was researching summer camps for the little girl. For the past two years she went to the one they had at the university where I worked, but now since I don't work there we have to find another option for her. DH has her four weeks out of the summer (these are non consecutive weeks) so could be a little more tricky. I like the YMCA and maybe, just maybe we will get our fat asses to the Y and work out a little bit (DH did text and say he gained 12 pounds in the three weeks he was home) but it's up for discussion. Next year when my office moves, she can go back to the university one.

And vacations!! OMG How do people afford them? I refuse to charge my credit cards up or use my savings account just to take a week's vacation. I guess I'm in the wrong line of work or I should have married a millionaire! This too will be on the back burner.

Finished the month of February down a little bit more, but I also saw how DH and I started eating sweet treats again. At least once a week, I would rather not do this, it is a very hard thing to NOT do if you have a sweet tooth.

Tomorrow is March 1st. This is the date I have down as to start some kind of exercise. I have been putting it off for two months now and I have no more excuses, except I do not like to feel the pain of getting started. This is what I don't like, again it just reiterates just how out of shape I am.

L: tuna, green beans, crackers, orange

D: left over salad, baked potato and steak (it will be a small portion because we are going to split it)

drank two diet dr. peppers at work today.

I am committing to 20 minutes (or more) of SOME kind of exercise 5 days a week, even if it's putting on music and dancing or walking around the block - and I'm not going to pressure myself to do more. I have to start back somewhere and it's as good a place as any, I think. Congratulations on your loss for FEB!!

Really, you hate the breakouts more than the weight? I actually would rather be thin than have clear skin which is my case this year especially. I’m happy with my weight & happy that I’m maintaining a lower weight…and wish my skin was better – wish I could have both. But I’m happier about my weight than having clear skin! Mine is mostly hormonal. Especially right before / during that time of month ugh! Always hard going back to work after having time off. I was pretty sick last Sept-October and out for 4 weeks. It was a challenge to be back those first few days for sure. Luckily, I had decent coworkers who were extraordinarily nice! Little girl is so lucky to have been able to go to camp and the university. I know there are cheaper town camps – like maybe the YMCA like you said. No, I think there are many hard working people in our boat. I think vacations many times for people are paid thru savings accounts or credit cards. Same for me. That’s why I haven’t been on a week-long vacation in 4 years now….and not ANYTIME soon. I’ll be lucky to have a few 1-nighters or maybe, if I’m lucky, a full weekender maybe next fall. I also am in a place where saving is MUCH more important than blowing it all away. If you drink diet drinks, especially those with caffeine, also try to balance that by alternating with water after or between drinks. For sweets, try NOT to buy them. Buy fruit / yogurt instead. I buy seltzer and sweeten it extra in my cup by dropping in a few drops of liquid stevia. The little stevia bottle is expensive around $10-$20 but lasts months in the fridge. It’s great for making things sweeter for NO CALORIES.

Laundry done! House clean! DH and I ran some errands and then spent the nice day at home.

Stress free day! Face is clearing up- no new breakouts. Dairy or no?

After all the shopping DH didn't feel like cooking so I picked up sandwiches from Jimmy Johns. I pulled off the cheese and fed it to my 'fat' dog! I ended the day with 1469 calories.

So I was up at 2:00 with my stupid dog, whom I love so much. But dammit I wish he would just sleep all ready! I cannot just lay in bed and listen to him bark and whine until one of us gets up. He has a dog door and prompty uses it whenever he hears something he has to check out, but other times he wants someone up with him. Spoiled dog! I was up and made the mistake of turning on the TV and the movie Cloud Atlas was on. I guess I caught the middle of it and fell asleep at the end. It was very long. Not sure what time it came on but it didn't end until 5:30. I ate a blueberry scone about 3:00a.m. I finally went to bed after the movie was over.

DH was up at 8:30 but I didn't even hear him. He came back in the room about 9:30 to take a shower and this is when I actually got up. He was leaving to go to the car show at 10:15.  DH left and I was home. I walked the dog and watched my basketball team lose. Everytime I watch them they lose, so I don't watch them very much! superstitious! I stripped the bed and started laundry and basically had a very relaxing day! I was stress free today!

B: toast and peanut butter, iced tea

L: beef sticks

D: pulled pork sandwich DH brought back from Harry Buffalo, I also had a piece of cake

endied the night with 1626. I think I gave the pulled pork sandwich too many calories but it was so, so good.

Tomorrow more laundry and I am going shopping for things I need for the St. Patrick day activity for work...just a vase.

Crazy dog! I love 'em you know. We have two very big very spoiled fur babies. One wakes us up with his (should I say it???) farts! So we are careful what we FEED him! Serious - its that bad LOL! He is also the one who dreams and barks and whines as well as moves his feet in a running motion IN HIS SLEEP! The other is great but very high maintenance emotionally - she is the boss of the other one. Any way - you did great yesterday - good calories.

So I got home to leftover penne pasta with ground turkey and marinara. DH also steamed brocolli and cauliflower and then grilled the zuccini and yellow squash. I was so amazed that he did this. I ened the night with 1166 calories. I was hungry after lunch and eating dinner right when I got home was a good idea. I did snack on pretzels.  This was a good food day.

I helped the little girl with her adding and subtracting fractions and then we kinda just sat around. i was playing candy crush and the little girl was playing something on the ipad, DH was of course snoozing in the recliner. The little girl was worried about what time she was going to go to bed and promptly fell asleep on the chaise. We turned off the TV and lights and woke her up, telling her to get ready for school. It was comical, but she figured it out. She then went to bed at 9:15.

And like I predicted, DH woke her up way too early and she came into our room while I was in the shower and came out just wearing a towel. Really? I just got my clothes and went back into the bathroom. This irritates me so bad. They were both gone and the dog too whenever I started blow drying my hair.

Today is DH's son's eighteenth birthday. They had a falling out three years ago and the son refuses to speak to my DH. After dropping the little girl off at school he goes by the house and invites him out to breakfast. My DH texted and told me he said NO. He is the most spoiled, mule headed kid I have ever known. Oh well, my DH is sad and heart broken, but what can you do? The mother already let him drop out of school. At first she said he was enrolled in the online highschool, but that didn't work out so I guess he didn't finish school, which is a shame. I think everyone should finish school. What a wasted opportunity.

I'm so glad it is Friday, I am ready to go home and just...be home! Home is my happy place!

L: tuna, green beans, crackers and an orange (I had more tuna and green beans than yesterday so I am actually doing pretty good right now)

D: I have no idea - DH went shopping so I know he is ready to go back to work. He said he was tired of doing housework. LOL.

Not a lot to do at work, so I'm purging files that are over 20 years old that we do not need to keep. The two people who previously had my job apparently didn't do it!

Holy...that is soo sad that the kid didn't finish school. You say it perfectly - a wasted opportunity. An opportunity that every kid in the US has - and that's really sad he will not have it. it's gonna hurt him. that sucks. I hope life for him turns around & that he will be able in the future to have a decent job despite the lack of education. gosh.

What a wonderful dinner your husband made! Nice! Kids - 18 year olds don't know anything and you can't tell them anything and sometimes they don't learn anything. Hopes for the lightning bolt moment for that son. He is young yet - can still turn around. One day he's likely to wake up and realize his dad loves him and he should listen a little! Bless you all!

Day 1 of no dairy experiment -

B: toast with 1 Tbsp of peanut butter

L: tuna, green beans, orange

no snack today! I usually have a yogurt protein bar or a fiber one something or other, but dairy so NO! When I was eating lunch today, I notieced I had very little tuna. I texted DH and asked - is this one can of tuna? He replies, No there are three left. I text back. OMG I am asking you if you gave me one can of tuna in my lunch. He replies, No only half! I just replied...thanks for starving me! LOL needless to say I am hungry and will rush home for dinner.

Driving to work I got on a coughing jag that made my head hurt. I am still coughing up nastiness, not regularly just a few times a day! My face is like a pizza, these are the reasons for the no dairy experiment.

D: I have no idea.

DH made a decision that kind of pissed me off, but I will deal with it. He said he did it since he is not working tomorrow, but I just don't see it that way. I don't want to sound like a whiney **** but there are somethings you can't just take away from someone and think that this is OK. My time! We have the little girl tonight, but somehow this has turned into an overnight sleep over and DH is taking her to school tomorrow. WHY? He doesn't entertain her, he doesn't play or talk to her most time! She is under my foot the entire time she is there, NOW, it will be all evening and in the morning! Sometimes, I can't even get changed because she is in my room. GET OUT! Go downstairs! You would think she would know this on her own, but I have to get snippy! Go downstairs while I get dressed. I wasn't all in your room when you were getting clothes on. I just need my time, which I rarely get. I have asked him several times to ask me first before just saying crap! It's not like I will say NO, but I have to get mentally prepared for it!

And work sucks today!

We have tickets to go to the Cleveland carshow, BUT I told DH I wouldn't be comfortable going on opening day because OMG the people. So he is taking his friend from high school and I will have the morning/afternoon to myself which I will look forward to and cherish.

Hurry up and get her Friday 4:00!

Finished last night with 1681 calories. We did eat chipolte, but I ate my healthy bowl - I did have some guacamole but light on the cheese and sour cream with lots of vegetables.

We headed to the library because I told the little girl we would go. She needs to read and take tests for AR points. She needs 12 points this quarter. They read the book and then take a 5-10 question quiz on the computer and if they pass they get points. The point system is based on the difficulty level and length of the books. Points can range from 1/2 points up to 37. I was looking at the points of course the 37 is for a book like Pride and Prejudice or War or Peace or something insanely long like that. She averages 3-4 points per book. She is at 7 now, so hopefully she will make her goal this grading period.

I was looking for Caldwell Esselstyn's book, Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease. It is basically veganism. Of course my branch does not have it, so instead of driving to another library I just had them order it to my branch. It will just take a few more days.

I also picked up the latest copy of the metroparks program to plan out our hikes to complete the hiking stick program again this summer. We really enjoyed it last year.

L: tuna, cottage cheese, orange, salted carmel cheese cake bar - fiber one

D: I don't know

DH thinks I'm crazy with all my crazy food binges lately. I asked for some cottage cheese to eat with my tuna. He buys the cottage cheese and now I'm like...Yeah, I'm not going to eat dairy for awhile. I'm sure he thinks I'm nuts. No plans for this evening, except relax. I've been so incredible sleepy. It is raining and cold, I would like to think this is the reason, but I don't think so.

Veganism is hard to follow & actually be healthy. also, whenever I eat low proteins, as vegans typically are on the lower side, I wake up hungry at night. maybe you will have better results..!

Little girl is going to reach her goal with the points because one person is making it possible for her - YOU! :)

When I got home my house was as clean as my DH got it. I am not complaining because I DID NOT want to do it. He swept and mopped the kitchen, family room and hallways and he vacuumed upstairs. I helped him move a table from the dining room into the family room. A table the little girl uses to store all of her crap (toys, pens, crayons, pencils, lip gloss, animals, paper, toys, crap, little toys, balls, erasers, animals, crap and more crap). You give this girl a box and crap will be in it in no time.

I just received a text that he has now swept and mopped the dining room and vacuumed the living room. This, this is a great house husband. He is doing much better, minimal pain and he is walking like a pro, so back to work he will go on Monday!

He had cooked BBQ country style ribs, rice and corn. It was good and I ate it, ending the day with 1781 calories.

I took the dog for a walk because love!

I read an article about Woody Harrelson and he was saying that whenever he got to NY someone told him that he had intolerance to dairy because he had bad skin and a runny nose. He said after three days he was mucas free and his skin started to clear up.  THUS because my skin is acting really seriously stupid right now and my last bough of coughing and mucus grossness I am going to try and see if removing dairy from my diet helps.

My face has been so bad the last couple of weeks, it hurts, I think it starts to clear up and then acne blooms all over it again! I do eat lots of cheese and drink lots of milk so this will be a challenge.

B: bad stuff - donetts (only 3) iced vanilla latte

L: cottage cheese, tuna, triscuit crackers, fiber one bar

S: quaker yogurt cereal bar

D: we told the little girl we would eat Chipolte tonight, but I got the heathy version of this down pat!

Tomorrow the dairy free experiement begins!

yesterday's calories wer 1381. I'm OK with this, but I get on the scale and no change. I know I move around more than I eat so this is discouraging and is about where I would quit, but I just refuse to quit this time, so I will keep doing what I'm doing and try to add more movement.

D: I dont' know, DH said he was cooking something yummy, which could be dangerous.

Having issues at work today but after struggling the end of last week, we finally finished the yearly inventory. So much paperwork, I swear it is the same thing in five different forms. We spent two days looking for a laptop, no one knows where it is, finally I'm about to submit it as lost/stolen/missing when someone says, there's a lap top in this desk drawer that has been here for awhile. WHAT? So the past week when we are inventorying everything it doesn't cross your mind to bring this to our attention!! This drawer was apprently looked it, not once, but twice. Cheese and rice people! It is locked up in it's proper place now! It cannot leave or move without my knowledge! The inventory has been submitted I hope it does not get declined.

And then don't get me started on purchase card paperwork!! Or the fact that time cards were due today and no one had their leave forms turned in. ACK! Well it is Monday!

DH texted and said he vacummed and swept, mopped the kitchen and family room. I am so happy he did this...because I didn't want to, I just hope it doesn't aggravate his knee any more.

Was up at 5:00 thanks to my dog. Had won over 7 hours of infinite life on Candy Crush and sat in the recliner and played until DH came downstairs. I really didn't know it was two hours I wish my days at work would go that fast. I tried to go back to sleep but that didn't happen.

Tried to finish the crossword puzzle and drank some iced coffee and had some toast. After a shower little girl and I went out looking for st. Patrick stuff. I have ideas for an office activity and see it in my mind but when actually looking for the stuff I want is harder to find then I thought. Passing over st. Patrick's day for Easter. We picked up lunch at subway and headed back home.

DH slept off and on all afternoon, I did laundry and Little girl watches the Disney channel ad nauseum...so sick of it. I made chicken eggplant parmigiana- no pasta and green beans. Turned out better than expected. Dishes...done! Laundry...done!

Chilling with the walking dead and my dog- not really wanting to work tomorrow - long stretch before Memorial Day!

Just about let the day get away without journaling. Slept until 8:30 which was good. I was up at 6:00 but went back to bed. Hung around the house until 10:00 went on a hike the weather was great low 60s. Afterwards we ran around looking for st. Patrick's day stuff but didn't find what I wanted. Will look a few more places tomorrow.

Got home and cooked a early dinner of teriyaki chicken and stir fry vegetables. Then I walked the dog. It was a good day.

B: blueberry scone, iced coffee D: teriyaki chicken rice stir fry vegetables S; not proud but I did eat a cheese Danish

Calories today 1398.
