Wow so had a busy weekend. DH was off so we started out with a farmer's market, not so much farmer as it was a market. We went for lunch I guess. DH had a hotdog and we shared a 3 rib sampler. This was the most tender rib I have ever eaten. The weather was not cooperating so we went back home to dodge the thunderstorm rolling through. Luckily it stopped, we had our first hike for our hiking stick program to go on. We drove to the site and there was no one there. A park ranger stopped by and asked if we went on a walk, we said we were waiting for it to begin. We finally deduced we were at the wrong park. We needed to be half mile further down the road. Sure enough when we arrived there was a line of people getting their forms signed off on.

We went on an 1 1/2 hike, through a forest, it was quite pleasnt although very sticky. The little girl did great, not one complaint the entire time. She did get hot, as both DH and I did too. We got back to the car and drank water, which we should have taken with us, We then took off to go back to the Shoe Carnival to get the little girl her new pair of shoes, she missed out on the week prior. We again ate at Chilpoltle, I got a chicken bowl and my calories for the bowl was 582. We headed home to go to our Lake Erie Crusher game, but alas it was rained out so we instead went to see Tomorrowland, which is a spectacular movie. I would recommend this to all.

Sunday, DH and I got up and finished the week 4 day 3 for the second time of the c25k. It was relatively easier. The little girl came along, she didn't run it all, but she did walk it. I stayed home and did the laundry while those two went shopping...big mistake, we forget it was the first/last of the month.We do have a weekness for fast food breakfast, DH went and got us a biscuit from McDonald's...biscuit with egg - no cheese or bacon.

Monday -

B: granola cereal with strawberries - 1% milk

S: raisens

L: turkey bacon wrap with salad

S: honey mustard pretzels

D: black bean burger (in a wrap) salad


DH and I finally did week 5 day 1 of the c25k - I finished - I made it through the first 5 minutes and did the next 6 minute, it is the last 5 minutes that kicked by butt! But am so happy we finally made it past week 4, which we did twice.

Tonight we have our second hike scheduled it is a night hike which I am really looking forward too, we even have the little girl who we will take home after. I think the hike is from 8:30-10:00.

B: life cereal with 1% milk

S: raisens

L: black bean burger wrap with salad

No idea what is for dinner.

Little girl was over and she stomped through the house without even saying hello. I told her, I didn't do anything to you and you shouldn't act like that. She apologized. Poor thing in the middle of two bitter parents.

D: black bean burger, onion roll, 1/4 avocado

S: pretzel pieces

Watched it rain for a bit, watched a little tv and then went to bed. DH and I were up at 4:45 and headed out the door for the run/walk. It was a bit easier today. Dh said he does have more energy and would like to (do it) everyday...do it is getting up and walking and or doing our c25k. I felt better. I signed DH, the little girl and I for a Hiking Stick Program in the month of June, looking forward to that. Our first hike is Saturday! If we go on 6 different hikes at 4 different parks we qualify for a walking stick, which we all want for some reason.

I'm headed to the hair salon after work, DH said something about cutting grass if it isn't raining, we will see. So glad tomorrow is Friday. No idea what is for dinner tonight.

B: life cereal, cashew milk

S: pretzel pieces

L: black bean patty, 1/4 avocado

S: 1/2 peanut butter

Still need to work on drinking of the water, still lacking.

DH is still arguing with his ex, she even texted me at working telling me to tell my husband to quit calling and texting her family. I just replied, it's amazing how two people can still annoy each other so much. She didn't text anything back, maybe that made her think about how childish she is acting. All DH wanted to know was where she took the little girl to the doctor last week when she was sick. at first she said the Rite Aid clinic, then she says, no it was Walgreens. When DH asked the little girl, she said she didn't remember. WTH? You can remember things we did two years ago and you can't even remember where you went to the doctor three days ago? Something fishy going on here!

I ate a banana, for me this is huge!! I detest them, however, I had a taste for one so...it is gone. Dinner last night was a grilled turkey burger on an onion roll, with left over Amish salad.

I walked the dog, he is a social butterfly.

DH received seven bills in the mail from 2013. ACK!! What the hell? They turned out to be over $700 of unpaid medical co-pays...hence starts WWIII. He dials up the ex and starts yelling. Not even trying to have a conversation, just the yelling, in turn she hangs up on him. I would have too. They did this back and forth for over an hour, so exhausting! The bottom line is, she should have turned in the bills when they were getting divorced. He had to take out his retirement and pay off all their marital debt, why didn't she turn these bills in as well. They had already been to collections. OMG, what have I gotten myself into?

Afterwards, I told him, from my point of view, you never call someone and start yelling. You start the conversation off by telling then asking. Hey, I received seven bills in the mail today dated from 2013 do you rmember what they could be from? I told him, you don't just call and start yelling at someone, this causes angst and defensive response. How do you not know this after 20 years of marriage? I told him if he called me yelling I would hang up on him too. Needless to say, I didn't hang out with him. He was in the living room, I was in the family room, watching basketball. GO CAVS!

B: Life cereal with cashew milk.

S: dried pineapple

L: spicy black bean burger, avacodo slice on onion roll, banana

I think dinner tonight will be another back bean burger, it was quite delcious.

THe little girl is supposed to come over....well I have no word if she is or isn't. We will see.

The weekend was not good, I did eat ok, but life is funny.

Thursday, we were supposed to get the little girl, but her mother texted and said she still wasn't feeling well. That she was giving her coke syrup to settle her stomach...yeah ok. What the hell is coke syrup and what's wrong with pepto? She's still mad DH called Children Services on her because the little girl still had head lice. Dh talked to the social worker and was told the exwife was avoiding him. That alone should prove her guilt, but oh well. DH and I drove to Medina to go to the Shoe Carnival, to get new shows to run in. We ate at Chipoltle. It was pretty good, different. I think my bowl had a total of 585 calories. I'm OK with that.

DH and i woke up and went on our little walk/run. Felt ok, but 5 minutes is longer than you could ever imagine! DH  had an appointment for dental surgery, but turned out to be only a consult. We didn't go back to work. We stayed around the house until 5:15 then we went to the Black River Landing in Lorain to volunteer for the Second Harvest Food Bank's beer tent. There was already lots of volunteers there. The turn out was poor because it was cold 50 degrees out and the Cavs were playing in a play off game, so who wants to stay outside in the cold and listen to a cover band? Not many people. We shared a shishkabob, which was very good. DH and I were released about 9:15 and headed home.

Saturday we worked in the yard most of the day planting more plants and running back and forth to Home Depot. We have a ditch in the back of our property that gets overgrown. DH was out there using the machete on the weeds getting it low enough to mow. We were still on the fence about Chipoltle so, DH went and got us something and brought it home. We decided that yes it is good, but we could make it cheaper at home.

Sunday we woke up late and we didn't get our run in that morning. We went to the American Legion craft and car show and then went to breakfast. I did splurge with some French Toast sticks, but everything else was ok. About 6:00 we did manage to get to the Nature Reserve and do our running. I thought I would die. The five minutes kicks my butt. As I passed a lady walking, she said...you got it, keep going. I told her I think I signed up for something I couldn't do...she replies...you're doing it, don't stop. I'm not sure if it was the heat or we just really suck at running, but DH and I agreed we would repeat week four before moving on, because wow, 5 minutes is not easy for us.

Monday, not much to celebrate. DH was supposed to get the little girl but the exwife texted and said she would rather play on the trampoline than come over!! Really? oh well, we can only wait and see what happens on Wednesday. It is funny how the father is hassled and can be thrown in jail for not paying child support, but nothing happens to the custodial parent who keeps visitation away from the father, who only has his daughter's best interest at heart! I cannot understand the selfishness of some evil hearted women! Karma is a ****...I'm told! I stayed in the basement most of the day going through boxes that weren't unpacked when I moved from Oklahoma, and I was wishing the whole time I was back there on this day!! When the DH is upset over this child issue, it reflects negatively on our marriage. He snaps, I snap, we all snap and it's not making for a good scene in my hosuehold. OMG I hate it! We had chicken shishkobobs for dinner. Chicken, mushrooms, onion, tomato and peppers. I made Amish salad with brocolli and cauliflower, which was really good. I also made a strawberry and blueberry salad with walnuts, which was very good.

So after not a pleasant evening, we did get up this Monday morning and start Week 4 day 1 over. I felt much better about it, it didn't seem as hard as the first time we did it so hoping the 5 minutes will kick in Thursday and be OK. This has not been easy...new shoes kinda help but not much.

It is a diary...sorry if you read about my life and it brings you down!

That awkward moment when you get home and can't find your phone. DH had a dental appointment and I didn't know if he would be able to eat anything so I just waited for him to get home. He grilled the last of the hamburger meat so we had hamburgers. His month was sore so he fell asleep in the recliner while I was watching the master chef competition.

This morning we over slept, I would tell you why but....OK, because I left my cell phone at work. I pushed the off button on the alarm and that was all she wrote! No back up to remind us to get up for work.

Tonight we had plans to drive a few towns over to go to the Shoe Carnival to look at new running shoes. We were planning on eating at Chipoltle, but those plans might have just changed since DH received a text from his exwife that the little girl was up most of the night puking with a sick stomach. Why did I know this was going to happen? I suppose it is DH's fault too that the little girl missed this day of school as well. I told DH to leave her little butt over there, I'm sick of all the BS.

B: English muffin with mango-peach jam

L: turkey bacon BLT, orange, black japonica rice chips

S: 1/2 peanut butter sandwich

DH was at the doctor's office longer than expected. He got home about 6:20 with the LIttle girl. He was steaming mad, because her mother didn't do the head lice treatment, instead put some foul smelling oil on it...was she thinking it would suffocate the lice, IDK.

We ate the spaghetti that was over an hour old, but it was still good. I helped the little girl with her homework all the while trying not to gag on her hair smell. We read for about 20 minutes and it was time fo rher to go home.

DH was still mad about her hair so he called the school this morning. The school in turn sent the little girl home. He later received a text from his exwife telling him how the little girl hates him because they were having a field day and dress down day and she was missing it. Your daughter hates you! I told him to text her back and tell her, well she should hate you for not taking care of her. ALAS I would have also texted, well that sounds about right, her priorities are just as screwed up as yours are!! And it goes without saying I think the little girl is not going to pass fourth grade, so instead of having a field day, they should be in there trying to teach the little girl something! Really? I just don't understand some people's parenting skills. This just keeps get harder, I thought it would eventually ease up...but it hasn't yet and I'm not sure how much more I can stand.

DH promptly fell asleep in the recliner afer the little girl left and I was watching cooking shows and playing on my phone. I decided I was hungry at 8:45 and had a peice of bread with a tablespoon of peanut butter. I need to keep that stuff out of my house.

B: english muffin with peach mango jam

L: turkey bacon BLT, orange

S: 1/2 peanut butter sandwich

I'm not sure what dinner will be, DH is on his way to the dentist, I guess it will be something soft. He then has an appointment on Friday to get a tooth pulled.

Tomorrow is the first 5 mintue running interval, I hope it doesn't hurt too bad.

DH and I got up and started week 4 of the c25k. We ran for 4 minutes straight!! I  was feeling pretty good the first 4 minute leg, but was really huffing and puffing during the second one. DH tripped on the uneven sidewalk and took a dive, he caught himself, but still I hated to hear him fall. He said his ankle hurt a little today.

The hours between 8:00-9:30 have been really bad at work, I have had a hard time staying awake. I guess this would be a good time to get a little extra walking in...maybe tomorrow if it happens.

Another bad day at work, people here do not like change at all and show their rigidity when it is time to impliment the changes we have talked about for the last 6 months. Come on people!

Dinner last night was a parmesan encrusted fish fillet and what was supposed to be salad....but when I got home from work I noticed an odd smell and determined it was coming from the garbage disposal: DH grabbed a bowl and put ice in it, then poured bleach it in and dumped it down the garbage disposal and turned it on....It seemed to work pretty good. Well in DH's haste to make the salad he forgot to rinse out/wash the bowl and the salad was dressed in bleach water. This is not appetising folks, I dont't recommend this. LOL

DH has a doctor's appointment after work and then he is getting the little girl. I will have an hour or so home a lone until they get there.

B: english muffin

S: 1/2 peanut butter on thin round bread

D: spaghetti tonight with salad. I get to make this...not often I get to cook.

So weekend was crazy! Little girl and I got up and drove to Bedford to walk in our 5K volksmarch lots of thoughts going on here. First is OMG it seems so far, how am I ever going to run this? the second is OMG why did I bring my dog, he wants to smell and piss on everything and the third is OMG why did I bring the little girl, she is like how much further, how much longer, my feet hurt. I told her to listen to her ipod, her response was my ears are hot. OMG I was fixing to lose my patience with her and the dog, but I kept my cool. I was so proud that she finished and in the long run she was happy that she went, so was I. Dog not so much, he stays home next time.

Afterwards, we met DH at his work place and went to lunch. I decided to have blueberry pancakes which were awesome!

we made another library book sale, I picked up more books, cook books, DVDS and CDs, I still think those sales are rediculously cheap. I think we have enough books for awhile.

Saturday night I thought we had tickets to watch a minor league baseball game, but it turns out the tickets are for May 30th instead, that was a bust! I guess we'll wait until May 30th to go.

Sunday DH woke up with an upset stomach and it was raining so it postponed our c25K, the rain let up and we took off to a Nature fest that was also a bust, not well attended, maybe because of the rain or not much advertisement, but we didn't stay long. NOTE TO SELF: wear sneakers when going to a nature preserve so I can walk around and enjo y it... NO FLIP FLOPS!!

the bad, we found that the little girl has head lice again, or maybe she's never gotten rid of it, I can't tell. I just get so pissed off. I texted her mother a picture of the lice on the back of the child's shirt. SERIOUSLY???? She is over there every freaking day and you don't notice this disgusting ****? Why don't you take care of this girl? She never texted back. WHen she came to pick her up DH went outside to talk with her, her reply was no one in the house has it!!! WTF ever, lady there is no way. She had scabs that are more than a week old, probably never healed from the last time. I am still furious. She is supposed to stay at our house for the entire week in the middle of June. I told her if she had headlice when she came over, I was cutting the **** off. She can hate me for the rest of her life, but she is not bringing headlice into my house. I also probably shouldn't have said this, but I told her If I got headlice I was going to go over there and kick her mother's ass. We will see how this plays out. I feel like bugs are crawling in my hair right now.

After the little girl went home DH and I finished the third week of the c25K, it was so hot!! but we managed to get through the whole three minutes of running....twice. Tomorrow morning we start in with the 4 minutes of continuous running. Running in the morning is so much better!

Eating could have been better, but it wasn't bad except for the ice cream we ate Saturday night in lieu of the baseball game.

Dinner was teriaki chicken, green beans and salad.

Today, sucked at work, I swear there are always those individuals that make me say...what, are you 2? You are a freaking grown adult, act like it! Sometimes i hate people! today was one of them.

B: English muffin

D: fish, salad

DH didn't buy snacks, so no snacks for IP.

Doctor's appointment went ok, all blood work and test results were normal. Cholesterol was 158 YAY!! must thank the vegetables. BP was 125/70 - really? must thank the exercise! She mentioned my weight and I told her I was working on it with my c25k and eathing heathier, we will see in 6 months. DH had a dental appointment so I picked up a chicken wrap from the diner.

D: chicken, ranch wrap, potato salad

We have a very busy weekend. Tomorrow we are going on a volksmarch (if it doesn't rain) in a few cities over, never been to Bedford, OH, will be checking it out tomorrow. The little girl is coming wth because DH has to work until noon. We are then going to another library book store and finishing the day off with a minor league baseball game. Sunday after c25K  there is a pancake breakfast and a nature fest at a local park. We have all these things on the calendar, we can do them or not!

B: English Muffin

L: left over Chinese food from work, mixed vegetables, fried rice and a few pieces of chicken in peanut sauce

D: TBD - no clue what we will eat.

Tuesday DH and I got up and did our c25k, it was so much better doing it in the morning. No aches or pains this day. I did notice that running is very mental. When we first started I would stare at my phone counting down the seconds to stop! It seemed like it lasted forever. Tuesday, I put the phone in my pocket and just waited, the time seemed to go by faster, no more anticipation, so I thought it was a good session.

Lunch, was a turkey bacon BLT on whole wheat, orange

S: dried pineapple

D: vegetable stir fry with golden curry sauce and a garden salad with orange vinegrette dressing

S: yogurt covered raisons

Wednesday started off ok, but sitting at work I started getting a migraine, which I'm sure is weather related. First I got the aura, the sparkling little lights that appear in my peripheral vision, then comes the light sensitivity and noise amplification so before the nausea hit I left work. Think of a knife jabbing in your eye, twisting your brain and scraping the back side of your scull. Horriffic!!  I just got home and fed the dog and gathered up my blanket (it was 48 out) to close the world out when I heard the garage door start lifing. At first I'm thinking, how is that possible, does someone else's garage door opener work on my garage door. The dog started barking so I got up and opened the door to see. My DH came home too. I'm like OMG what are you doing home, to which he replies...What are you doing home. It was comical. He said I opened the garage door and saw your car and thought DAMN, I'm caught! It was bittersweet because I kinda wanted the house to myself, but I like sitting here with you as well. I told him I would be sleeping to try to get rid of my headache. I slept for about 2 hours and then got up. I hate how my head is sore after a migraine.

B: English muffin with peach-mango jam

L: 1/2 peanut butter on whole wheat

DH left about 3:00 to pick up the little girl. When they got back she read and worked on her homework project. We left at 5:30 to go to what I thought was a class and dinner, but was a class and samples. We had gazpancho (which I thought tasted like salsa with no jalpenos), ratatouille bake (eggplant, zuccini, tomato, peppers, onions & garlic) with cheese tortilini and orange marmalade brussel sprouts. Two of the recipes we will be using at home. DH did not like the brussel sprouts, he said our recipe was better, I thought so too. Because they were just samples, we had to feed the little girl, so we stopped at Arbys and let her eat a chicken sandwich before she went home.

Thursday we were up again to go for our week 3 day 3 session, which was the same as last time, the only thing today was 38 degrees, so DH said he wasn't going. I told him to stay in bed then, i would go by myself. He relunctantly got up and came along. I asked him if his body hurt, he said no, but my hands are cold. I can't believe it is so cold. I have come to the conclusion that you just roll with the weather. Keep a jacket in the car at all times. Apparently it really doesn't bother him as he has lived here in this city his entire life, except the three years he was in the military. I had clothes on with no pockets so I had to force myself not to look at the remaining time. Some how this program forgot the 2:00 minute mark, because we ran from 1:30 minutes to 2:30 minutes and that extra minute seemed like it lasted forever. I was looking ahead and see the 2:00 minutes arrives next week. Mind games...all of it! No pain today, so I'm feeling the slowly but surely vibe. It is hard sometimes when I think back and remember how there was a time when I could run 7.3 miles a day. I would get up on the weekends and go for a run. When you gain weight it gets harder so you just stop all together. I still have my shirt bib and time card when I finished the Kole Kole half marathon in Hawaii, so I know I can do this, I just have to overcome! It sucks letting yourself get so fat.

B: English muffin with nature's best fake butter (not a fan) but Dh makes the toast so I don't complain

L: 1/2 turkey on swiss (this is the last of the turkey meat in the refrigerator), lettuce & tomato

I am leaving today to go to a doctor's appointment. Dreading this! Have a great day!
