Times are tough, times are hard! WW meeting was awful. i did get a keychain for attending 4 of 5 meetings. Now if I could lose enough weight to be awarded some kind of charm. D: left over chili, cheese, a few fritos

S: crackers and hummus

Today at work I entered a 21 day  challenge to get 10,000 steps with the fit bit. I have not been getting anywhere close to that so i will start walking in the morning before work. And today is also the last day of toast for breakfast.

B: two pieces of toast

s: yogurt and almonds

L: roast beef, grapes, orange

S: apple

D: TBD maybe turkey sausage and salad.

After work BF has to go buy and pick up his glasses he ordered last week and then to pick up the little girl. I need to fold BF's uniforms other than that, I have nothing planned for the little girl.

Progress as of today: 9 lbs lost so far, only 8 lbs to go!

lolla on 02/12/2014:
I usually have a good weight loss when I try to focus more on protein and veggies and control the carbs to a bare minimum, at least for one week and you will see the weight dropping, I am sure. The thing with carbs is that they don't satisfy your hunger and then you keep eating them and with protein you reach satiation sooner. That is my experience anyway. I wish you strength and luck in this oh so tough and awful journey of weight loss.

Oh the weekend how I love to hate it!! Friday night we went out for BF's birthday. I had a grilled chicken sandwich with mixed greens and bruchetta on a chiabotta roll. It was rather tasty. They served home made chips with my sandwich and I only ate half, BF took the other half. I was doing good but had a small pretzel and fried cheese in the appetizer. Not too good, but better than before.

Saturday, we decided to go to the home and garden show. First we were going for a pedicure and stopped at two places, that were just packed with people waiting so we just went to the show. It was a huge place, so overwhelming with things you want to do but can never afford. We walked and walked, finally made my 5,000 step goal on my fitbit. At the show the little girl wanted a plate size chocolate chip cookie, BF wanted a macaroon and I decided on chocolate cheesecake. We didn't put anything out for dinner so BF and little girl went to their fast food buffet. Not the healthiest option. I had a market fresh turkey & swiss from Arby's (17 points - OUCH). My chocolate cheesecake wasn't exactly what I wanted it to be so after two bites, BF finished it for me. We bought the movie Zombieland and watched that since the little girl is a Walking Dead Freak!! We couldn't wait for the mid season series premier.

Sunday, after it snowed all night, we decided to see if we could get our pedicure wihtout waiting too long. BF started a pot of chili.  I was thinking the snow would have kept the people in. NO way!! We did get a pedicure and then went to get hair cuts at Fantastic Sams. I think I got a little too much cut off. I haven't had hair this short in years, good thing it grows back. We returned home and shoveled the driveway, sidewalk and steps and went in for the home made chili. It was delish. BF did a great job, he said he never made chili before. It was funny he told me he put peppercini's in the chili for flavoring. After running around all day the little girl said she didn't want the chili because it had pepper cheese in it. We couldn't figure out what she was saying, but eventually we did. It wasn't hot at all so we all enjoyed it. The little girl left at 6:00 so I finished the dishes and laundry and watched the long awaited TWD! Loved it..

I asked BF to bring in an old scale, big MISTAKE!! He stepped on it three times and got three different weights. I stepped on it and weigh more than I did last week. I hope it is heavy, I stepped on it again and instantaneiously gained 1.6 pounds, so it is ****!! It just upset me so I threw it back in the garage.

I did get some activity in this weekend but I didn't eat very good so that equals to being nervous for the weigh in this evening. I can only hope  I didn't gain.

B: two pieces of toast

s: yogurt & almonds

l: 1/2 corned beef  sandwich, colby jack cheese, orange

s: light string cheese

d: left over chili

I have great evening!! IP

We made it home. BF took the day off from work today for his birthday. We are going out to eat with the little girl to celebrate. He wants to go to Wolfey's Pub and Grill. I usually get a big fat juicy hamburger or macraroni and cheese. I will get a salad tonight or something lighter. I don't want to pig out just because it's his birthday.

BF went to lunch with his best friend who is visiting from Bulgaria. They went to Sams club and wal-mart. I am so glad. He picked me up some salmon and chipotle ranch. I dont' like hot and spicy stuff but this is very good. BF is off tomorrow and we will have time to go do something. He wanted to go to the home and garden show and will think about going. He said the tickets were expensive and he wanted a pedicure. Hard decision. He is going to get the little girl in a bit and they will wait for me to get home before going to dinner.

D:  last night was the left over parmasan chicken and salad..

B: two pieces of toast

S: yogurt and almonds

L: 1/2 corned beef sandwich

S: string cheese

BF didn't give me fruit today, maybe he forgot.

Have a great weekend everyone IP

I must say the roads were so much better on the way home, thank goodness. We decided that the weather was too bad to get the little girl so we went on home. We have her this weekend, so one more day won't hurt, she said she wasn't feeling well anyway. We arrived home and the neighbor kid snow plowed our driveway. What a great surprise. I love this neighborhood. A direct 180 from where I used to live. BF and I did get the shovel out and shoveled the sidewalk and porch off. Steve came out and met the neighbors, he was so excited he peed on them. It was funny but embarrasing, he is never around anyone else but us.

BF threw he parmasan chicken in the oven for dinner, it was delicious. He made so much so we are eating it again tonight. He also made the southwestern salad and corn.

Last night was the first night he took Steve out in the middle of the night. He was up himself to use the bathroom so I asked him to take Steve out to do the same. He as done very well the last week, no accidents. He still chews everything up though. BF laid a Pampered Chef catalog on the automan and Steve grabbed it and chewed up four or five pages of it, probably thought it was too expensive!

B: two pieces of toast

S: yogurt & almonds

L: roast beef sandwich, clementine

S: string cheese & apple

D: Paramasan chicken again.

TOmorrow is BF's birthday, he has taken the day off from work and says he is going to stay home and clean and then go do the Saturday grocery shopping a day early. He is the greatest and he likes to vacuum!! Yes ladies I have a keeper. I will do all the laundry and dishes forever as long as I don't have to vacuum and shop! He did say he was going to take us to get a pedicure this weekend. Great I just love those.

Have a great evening! IP

On the way home yesterday BF had to run an errand and we got home late. We were going to have parmasean chicken, but that turned into something else. BF drove to Bellacino's to get a slider and I had a grilled chicken salad. It was very good except my lettuce was hot. Not a fan of hot lettuce. BF did prepare the chicken to throw in the oven once we get home today tho.

Driving to work this morning was a bear. OMG the snow will not stop, it took me over 2 hours to get to work today. Because we drove BF's 4x4 I left my parking hang tag in my car and the attendant would NOT let me park in the garage.

Me: Are you serious?

PA: Yes I am.

Me: But I work here!

PA: I'm sorry ma'am you don't have your hang tag

Me thinking...no but I have a 4x4 and I can drive in the snow.

So Plan B I drive down the street to a $4.00 a day lot. PA: $4.00

Me: Do you take checks

PA: No cash only.

Me: Well I work right there can I bring you back $4.00.

PA: No, you pay when you park.

Me: Seriously, I will be right back.

PA: No, you can't park here, leave.

Me. OK crap, I am in downtown Cleveland and I do not know where I am going to park. So I set off to find an ATM to get cash. I am driving down roads I don't know nothing about and run across a posse in the middle of the road...WTH, about 10 guys in the road pushing a disabled vehicle. I was scared. So I keep driving and finally find a BP cash station with an ATM. I go and get $20 to pay to park....lesson learned, do not forget the hang tag ever again!!

I am just aggravated that when it is time to go home, I will have to scrape snow and ice off the truck and that will take forever, it is so high. It is still snowing. BF and I will have to shovel the drive way again tonight and then more snow is predicted over the weekend. This is true...I do not like living in Ohio.

B: maple and brown sugar oatmeal

S: yogurt and almonds

L: 1/3 of BF's left over Italian sub, clementine, apple

S: light string cheese

Please stop snowing!

I cannot believe your parking ordeal! Particularly your regular garage, where you park everyday - they should have cut you some slack on a snowy day. We got over a foot here yesterday so I feel you on all the white stuff!

I just love when I am so busy at work I don't have time to post, today almost got by too.

The weekend was really uneventful. Saturday Steve and I watched more SVU (I'm so addicted) while BF and his best friend went to the eye doctor and to Sam's. He said both places were packed. His eye appointment was at 12:00 he didn't get home until almost 4:30. I'm so glad I didn't go. Saturday night we ordered Chinese food, I had two spring rolls and some General Tso's chicken. It was pretty good.

Sunday I was cheering for the Bronco's only to be disappointed like every other fan. Oh well, I enjoy college football more so it wasn't too bad. I did make home made pretzels and ate too many. I also made roasted butternut squash soup, which was devine. We had pot roast for dinner.

Monday I went to the WW meeting and I gained my .6 pounds back, but I'm not putting it down, because I know it will be less next Monday. I like weighing in on Mondays better than Thursday because it is the start of the week and also because it is an earlier time. This Monday meeting was packed as well, just not used to that and so many outspoken people. I guess I just feel that my weight loss journey is personal and I feel it is better to write out my feelings, than share it with perfect strangers. You all read what you want, you aren't forced to sit here and listen to my rants. Maybe it is a self esteem issue I can't say for sure, maybe I will work on it.

Monday B: Slim Fast

L: 1/2 corned beef sandwich, grapes

S: yogurt, 15 almonds

D: roast beef sandwich and butternut squash soup (leftovers)

S: honey mustard pretzels

Tuesday, getting ready for another dumping of snow 4-10 inches predicted this time. Will it ever go away?

B: maple brown sugar oat meal

L: 1/2 corned beef sandwich, grapes, clementine

S: yogurt and almonds

D: BF is making parmasan encrusted chicken, hope it turns out good.

Looking forward to my next day off....I love holidays Presiden't  DAY!!

Discouraged to say the least!! Stupid scale! Oh well, I stayed on program and counted points so I don't feel too bad. I could drink more water and exercise more, I will try to work that into this weekend. I am changing my weigh in day to Monday, that just makes since to me. Besides the Thrusday WW meeting isn't until 7:00 and I don't get home until almost 8:00. that makes for a later than I like dinner. Monday's meeting is at 5:30 so that will be better for me. I can go coming home from work and Monday is never a little girl day.

BF and I carpool to work, he drives to his workplace and then I drive to my workplace. I drive back to pick him up and he drives back home. On the little girl days we of course go and get her and spend the evening with her. Last night we had spaghetti. I started cooking and BF finished it, I left to go to the WW meeting. It was packed. I was amazed at how many people were there. I am going agaon on Monday.

B: slim fast

S: yogurt and almonds

L: 1/2 corn beef sandwich, 2 clementines

I only ate 1 clementine will have the other as an afternoon snack.

I found this picture, face to a name!!

Here is me, my BF and the little girl. We were at Bass Pro Shop right after Christmas.

Hope you all have a nice weekend. IP

Feeling nervous as another weigh in is tonight and I have no idea of how good or bad it will be, not stepping on the scale everyday has kept me from getting frustrated over the constant fluctuations. BF said he has lost ten pounds and that I should be right there too, because I haven't been snacking as much as he has. We will see in a few hours.

I was hungry before dinner and had a few crackers and hummus. Dinner last night was a hamburger patty, tomato soup and asparagus, which was pretty good considering we have cut back on bread!

B: slim fast shake

S: yogurt and 15 almonds

L: 1/2 corned beef sandwich, colbyjack cheese and a clementine

S: apple

Tonight is the little girl night and I think BF is still taking her to Steak and Shake for the promised milk shake. I am tempted to get one, as I did not use my flex points for the week, and I deserve a treat. Dinner tonight is supposed to be spaghetti and I will eat this after my WW meeting.

No huge weekend plans as it is just us and we are low on cash, as all bills are due at the end of the month so I can see some relaxation coming. SVU marathon on Saturday and the Super Bowl on Sunday. I am so glad we aren't going to have a pig out fest. BF said he would grill steaks Saturday night and we will probably just have hummus and homemade soft pretzels Sunday.

Life is good today. IP

So not working yesterday, I missed breakfast. I didn't get up until 9:30. I hate an early lunch of the 1/2 corned beef sandwich, colby jack cheese and I also had a few crackers. For a snack I had some more crackers and hummus at about 3:30. BF came home and started dinner and left to go to the taxman. He did take the little girl only because she wanted a milk shake and I do not keep that stuff in the house. He said they went through Rally's drive thru but their milk shake machine was down, so little girl will have to wait. He told her ont he way on Thursday we would stop at Steak & Shake and get her one. Oh great!! I will have to have the will power kick in. I will leave them at home sipping on the milk shake while I go to my WW meeting. I am always nervous about this because I left the scale in the garage so I don't know if it is good or bad news. I only hope it will be good, as I have yet to go over my points allowance.

Steve had a bad day, he had an upset stomach and barfed all over the living room floor. I am amazed at how much he could hold in his stomach. I guess he was all right after, because he started to eat again. He tries so hard, but I don't think he is the brightest dog there is.

B: maple and brown sugar oatmeal

S: yogurt and 15 almonds

L; 1/2 corned beef sandwich, grapes

S: string cheese

D: is hamburger patty, soup and I think BF said he was going to grill the asparagus, not sure.

Yesterday sitting at home I got the old feelings of depression creeping up on me. I have been taking my meds, but still feel so down, I'm not sure how to take this. Maybe I'm just homesick, I talked to my mom today, so hopefully I will get better in time.

Have a great night everyone. IP

Friday after work, we stopped and picked up the little girl. I made pork fried rice with lean boneless porkchops, water chestnuts and bean sprouts. It was very tasty. Little girl was not feeling well and she stayed on the sofa with BF. We watched the Disney channel most of the night. I know more than I want to about ANT Farm, Austin & Allie, Dog with a Blog and Good Luck Charlie. I went to bed about 10:00, they were close behind me.

Saturday morning we had to get up early to take Steve to his doctor's appointment and wouldn't you know that little stinker crapped in the back seat of the car, it stank so bad. It was so cold and the roads were bad, it was miserable. BF and little girl took Steve into the doctor while I cleaned out the back of the car. On the way home we stopped at McDonald's for breakfast. I could have made a healthier choice, but I opted for a 502 caolorie steak biscuit and I am OK with this, as I shoveled snow for almost an hour and burned most of it off. Little girl was feeling better so her and BF went on their daddy daughter shopping spree while I stayed home wih Steve. As I was putting another log on the fire an ember popped out and burned a hole in the carpet. I was pissed, that was brand new carpet. I had cheezits for lunch. Not a good option for dinner, but we had pizza. I had 2 slices and a salad, well below my points range. I would have normally had about 4 pieces of pizza, so again I was OK with my choice. BF brought me home peanut butter M&Ms to cheer me up after I burned a hole in the carpet. Really??? You are supposed to help me!!

It started off snowing Sunday morning. I had two pieces of toast and iced coffee for breakfast. For lunch I made a chicken, brocolli croissant ring, it was really good. I also made a batch of blueberry muffins, I only had two. For dinner I made meat loaf, salad and green beans, again I stayed within my point/calories. BF and I had to shovel snow again and we were out for almost an hour doing that. Little girl left at 6:00. I finished dishes and laundry and tried to keep warm. About 8:00 I caved and had one serving of M&M's counted out in my quarter cup measuring cup. This had me using the rest of my points and three flex points. Oh but they were so good!

Last night I was up at 12:30 taking Steve out and the wind was out of control. Let's just stay I thought I closed the door, but when I got up again at 4:50 and went downstairs, the front door was wide open and the downstairs felt like a refrigerator. I guess I didn't close the door hard enough and the wind blew it open sometime in the night. BF and I didn't hear it and it hadn't gotten cold upstairs yet so I can't say how long it was open. And the ferocious Steve did nothing to warn us, not a bark or anything. I was just thinking I could have been dead if I was still living in my neighborhood back in Oklahoma. Scary thought still.

BF texted me this morning and said he was taking his W2 to the tax man tomorrow at 5:30. I'm like uh...what about the little girl. He just says Oh, she can stay with you. This I hate. He could have asked first!!! He just assumes I have nothing to do. Don't get me wrong, I love that little girl, but he just doesn't act right. I told him about it and he says I love you.

B: maple and brown sugar oatmeal

S: yogurt and 15 almonds

L: 1/2 corned beef sandwich, colby jack cheese, wheat berry bread, grapes, clementine

S: apple maybe

D: not sure BF said he was going to concoct a roasted mushroom and we have cauliflower we have to use, not sure of the protein.

Campus has already been closed for tomorrow due to the frigid cold, so I guess Steve and I will channel surf most of the day. I'm not getting out in subzero temperatures. I hope you all have a great week! IP
