Weight: 133.0

I'm so looking forward to my weigh-in tomorrow. I won't screw it up tonight so that tomorrow i'll hopefully have a great new weight! But I woke up this morning feeling and looking very bloated, and i'm not sure why. This is what I ate yesterday, after work: snack of 2oz cheese, 6 crackers and 1 slice ham, one egg salad sandwich and one cup of stew (had beef, sweet potato, carrots, celery, onions, and beef boullion). I don't understand? The broth maybe? Oy. Anyways, I know it wasn't much, so I know this temporary bloating will go away if I only give it time!

I went for a walk yesterday, didn't manage to get any running in because I had a backpack and my BF with me, so we just went for a leisurely walk. Better than nothing, like I always say!

I've had eggs and toast so far this morning, and for lunch is half an egg salad sandwich with a half cup of stew. Same thing for dinner. Oh, good stew! I love it, it's so tasty! I can't believe it worked out on my very first try!

geevee on 09/16/2004:
It was probably the ham and boullion. Same thing happened to me today, an unexplained gain of one pound. It's SO annoying!

Becca27 on 09/16/2004:
Are you going to Weight Watchers? Good luck on hte weigh in.

Runner on 09/16/2004:
HI! I hope your weigh-in is very encouraging for you! I'm sure the bloated feeling is from the ham, cheese, and soup. All of them are rather salty. I bloat very easily myself.

Have a great weekend!

Hi legcramps!

Here's the recipe for Sicilian Lentil Pasta Sauce. I got it from allrecipes.com. I halved the recipe. I'd actually found this recipe ages ago but was a bit hesitant to make it because my boyfriend/husband is a bit picky when it comes to vegetables. But he went crazy over it. He couldn't stop talking about how great it was.

Anyway, here it is:

2 teaspoons olive oil
1 cup chopped onion
2 cups fresh sliced mushrooms
1 small zucchini, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup dry lentils
3 cups water
2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
1 1/2 teaspoons white sugar
1/2 cup water

DIRECTIONS:
Bring lentils and 3 cups water to a rolling boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook 45 to 60 minutes.

In a large saucepan, heat oil over medium heat. Add onions, mushrooms, zucchini, and garlic. Cook and stir until tender, about 5 minutes.

Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, sugar, vegetables, and 1/2 cup water to lentils. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes. If necessary, add more water to keep the sauce from sticking. Be careful not to dilute; the sauce should be quite thick.

Weight: 133.0

I'm still floating around with that 'thin' feeling today. Yesterday was good except for the ice cream treat that I had after dinner. Whoops! I ate a cup of vanilla ice cream, about 200 cals. But, in my own defense, i'd been craving sweets for three days straight and found the willpower to resist each of those three days. I think it was only a matter of time! I'm not craving anything like that today, and so i'm thinking i'll be okay now for a few more days. Oh boy, let that be true!!!

Yesterday I also had two chicken fajitas. One for lunch and one for dinner. I didn't want the chili, so my BF ate it for me. I was just getting sick of eating chili all the time! Today started off with eggs, lunch will be another fajita, and for dinner i'm making beef stew with egg salad sandwiches! I know, but it was a request made by my BF. How can I argue with that?! I picked out a great recipe for the stew, made all by stove top, so I think it should go well. I don't have wallyball tonight, I guess i'm taking the week off as no one has e-mailed me yet to ask if I want to play.

Last night I made it to the gym!! Yay! I went 20 minutes on the stationary bike, then lifted weights for 15 minutes. Not bad. I'll take it; it's better than nothing! Tonight i'm hoping for a walk/jog through the park. I hope it's nice outside later on today so that I can.

I hope you're all doing your very best. Stay strong and have a great day today!

nettyb40 on 09/15/2004:
A one time treat is not that much. It sounds to me like you have a good plan in place. Try to keep variety in your food so you don't get bored and frustrated.

Thank you for your support.

geevee on 09/15/2004:
Hey, 200 cal. isn't bad for such a tasty treat, and you deserve it after your terrible weekend.

About the high solium content of commercial soups in your comment to Teacup - I usually make my own soup for just that reason. I break my rule when the New England Clam Chowder is on sale, 2 for 1. I can't resist.

Princess_Teacup on 09/15/2004:
Thanks for the BF advice. It's really very helpful. He's a really good person but I'm very frustrated and unsure as what the right thing to do is.

As for the soup, I usually make a pot of veggie soup with a handful of egg noodles at the beginning of the week and eat it until it's gone or I can't take it anymore. It does have a lot of salt. I don't know how you get around that. Food that's mostly water tends not to have a lot of flavor. It is my impression that homemade soups would be lower in sodium than canned but I have no information to back that up.

Stringbean on 09/15/2004:
Sometimes those sweet cravings can be killer!! Good for you for keeping it at 200 calories!

Thanks for leaving comments at my diary- I really appreciate knowing someone is there rooting me along! And the crash wasn't major- it actually came from my daughter's room, she dropped a basket of toys. No big deal (you can bet she cleaned it up! lol)

borntocry on 09/16/2004:
Hi legcramps! Congratulations on that thin feeling. You deserve it after all your good work.

I think you did the right thing by treating yourself to a little ice-cream. I'm a firm believer in the dangers of deprivation. If you let it build up too much it can get the better of you in a big way! (Well, that's my experience, anyway!)

It looks like you're doing plenty of cooking too. It's fun, isn't it? And I think it can be quite healthy to prepare your own meals. That way you know exactly what goes into them. Keep it up!

subway girl on 09/16/2004:
Thanks for your comment :) You are doing great too! My goal is to lose 5 pounds, preferably by October. I weigh myself every saturday morning and the way I keep track of it in my diary is by putting the number that I have left to lose under where it says weight. Hence the reason there is a 3 instead of a much larger number under weight in my diary! I obviously do not weigh 3 pounds!! Oh, and the cereal, haha I didn't put the water on the cereal, I put milk on it, but I drank a glass of water with it! Water on cereal would be pretty gross! Have a great day :)

Weight: 133.0

When I jumped in the shower this morning, I couldn't help but realize how much smaller my waist felt as compared to ten pounds ago. My clothes slide on now, instead of me having to wriggle into them! It felt great, so when I got out of the bathroom, I just stood in front of the mirror for awhile. I don't usually give myself a lot of time to get ready in the morning, so needless to say, I was late for work by about five minutes! For admiring myself in the mirror!

I wanted chocolate or chips last night in the worst way. My BF and I were watching movies all last night, and one movie in particular I found extremely boring. Once i'm bored, I either have to do something else, or I get 'hungry'. I sat it out though, and my BF helped a lot when he made no move to offer to go uptown for me! After an hour or so I grabbed some cheese and a few crackers and made do with that.

No exercise yesterday, like I said. My stomach muscles are still sore today, but getting much better. Thanks for all the comments and 'get better' messages you girls left me yesterday. Today I want to hit the gym and do some lifting. I had eggs this morning so far, and lunch is leftover chili. I made chicken fajitas yesterday for dinner, so i'll probably have those leftovers today for dinner. I'm doing really good on the water, considering I was sick over the weekend.

Okay, that's it for now! Have a great day everyone! Stay Strong!

TheMother on 09/14/2004:
What a thrill to be able to slip easily into clothes instead of tugging and pulling, etc. All of your hard work and dedication is paying off just like the expression "nothing tastes as good as being thin feels". Enjoy it!

When I get bored, I, too, usually turn to food for something to do. That's one of my biggest problems - the other is I eat 1/2 a meal or more just by tasting everything when I cook. That's why even though my family says I'm a good cook, I don't enjoy it. I'd sooner wash windows or work out in the yard because I'm out of the kitchen and away from all of that temptation.

Have a GREAT Tuesday!

subway girl on 09/14/2004:
I read your entry for today and found it quite entertaining that you were late for work because of admiring yourself in the mirror! I think that is actually a very good thing that you could do that- look in the mirror and be so happy that you just have to keep looking! Congrats :) Also, thanks for the comment and the motivation! It feels so good to be eating right and exercising! Stay focused and you will reach your goals!

Stringbean on 09/14/2004:
Oh I can't wait to be able to see some changes! You are doing really good- Congratualtions!

Yesterday, I went walking through our neighborhood, where there's still a LOT of construction going on, and I swear all those construction workers looked at me like they'd never seen anyone walk before. ::Shudder:: I'm going to try finding a better route- one that doesn't take me through the construction anymore. I'm going to start working Tae Bo into my schedule more, too.

Keep up the good work!

Weight: 133.0

Oh, I am so exhausted! I was so very sick on Saturday that I still haven't completely recovered yet!

Friday after work I stayed at home like I knew I would, and slept most of the night. I woke up finally on early Saturday morning, feeling like I could die and that would be better than living through my pain! Seriously, I thought there'd be no way I would get through it! I was terribly sick until 4pm, when I finally drifted off and was able to sleep through the pulsating pain in my body. I did nothing Saturday night, is that surprising?!! Sunday I tried finally to get up and walk around, and I ended up playing tennis for about an hour or so, but it played me right out. Sunday night all I did was watch movies and sleep!

So, as you can probably guess, my eating wasn't a priority to me this weekend. Friday night I had leftover chili, Saturday I didn't eat until 4pm, and I had some white rice and cooked carrots. Sunday I tried to eat breakfast but couldn't, tried to eat some bread in the afternoon and got down one slice, and then ate a cheeseburger later on last night.

Today i've had half a cup of ham and cheese omelette with 1/4 cup potatoes so far. Lunch will be a mediterranean chicken sub, and dinner leftover chili, or a cheeseburger. I have lots of leftovers in my fridge, but i'm really craving a sub today!

Exercise today? Nil - my stomach muscles have been through enough in the last few days.

Take care all, have a great day today!

geevee on 09/13/2004:
The only good part of being under the weather is that it does a good job at getting your mind off food! And you barely ate at all! That ought to be good for a pound or two I would think. Craving a sub is a sign that you're on the mend. You'll probably have the urge to really work out tomorrow and it will feel SO good!

You poor thing - to go through all of that agony. I can't imagine. When I had my TOM regularly, it was usually on the light/medium side with some cramping on the first and last day (usually lasted 4-5 days). Now I'm periomenopausal and get it every 2-4 months. Last time, it didn't even last a day! Anyway, I'm glad you're feeling better today. Since you hardly ate over the weekend, you should see a nice loss within the next few days. To answer your question about "formal" exercise, the mere thought makes me ill. I do not like a gym environment, having to go there and work out with other people, etc. We have a treadmill at home and I was using that for a while but I got "shin splints" so I stopped. I like to walk and now that the weather is cooling down, I plan on taking a 15-20 minute walk at lunchtime. Thanks for offering the suggestion, though.

Have a GREAT day.

borntocry on 09/14/2004:
You poor thing!! I hope you're feeling a bit better now.

Thanks for the comment you left me. It was really interesting to read about your experience as it gave me some insight on what my boyfriend/husband must be going through. I'm afraid that my behaviour is exactly like your boyfriend's - I've always spent hours talking to my little brother on the 'phone and talking about him to everyone else. I guess it makes sense that my boyfriend/husband would find that threatening. I'm relieved to know that I'm not the only one who has such a close relationship with a younger sibling, though.

I'm also glad to hear that you and your boyfriend's little sister get along well now. I really hope for the same thing to happen with my boyfriend/husband and my little brother. It's a pity they can't have a girlie chat to clear the air! Boys are so much worse at opening up to each other, I think. But I'm hoping that they will get used to each other in time and eventually come to realise and appreciate their similarities - and there are quite a few!

Well, thanks again for sharing your story. I hope you feel better soon!

Weight: 133.0

I thought I was doing really well, but the scale isn't following my point-of-view! Actually, it's my TOM, so i'm not too suprised. That just means next week there'd better be a bigger drop!

I did pretty well yesterday. I ate 1 cup brown rice with lentils and onions, 1/2 cup cooked carrots, 1 cup chili, and a 50 gram bag of Rold Gold pretzels. I drank lots of water again too. My exercise was questionable though. I started going for my walk/jog, but it started raining out, so I only made it about two blocks. Then I went to my boyfriends and started to lift weights, but got interrupted by a phone call. After the call ended, I needed to cook supper, do a load of laundry, and clean the bathroom, so I ended up not doing much of anything for exercise.

Today all i'm planning on doing is making it through the work-day, then passing out at home. I'm not feeling ill yet, but because of TOM I know I will be. I have leftover chili at home, and this morning I had an egg on whole wheat pita bread with 2oz cheese. I think i'm good for the next couple of days with all the leftovers sitting in my fridge! As long as my boyfriend doesn't tear into it!

Well, i'm drinking water and waiting for the day to be over (already!). I don't really have much more to say. Thanks for all the wonderful comments ladies!

flowergirl on 09/10/2004:
Ohhhhh, I feel your pain! I used to have such problems at that TOM!!! It's so awful to know it's coming and that you're going to be sick, sick, sick. Just concentrate on getting through the next few days in one piece and then you can get back on your program.

monet0329 on 09/10/2004:
Here ya go sweetie.. the link to the walking tapes.. http://www.lesliesansonevideos.com/ but you can probably get them for a better price at wal-mart or something.. I havent checked it.. have a great Saturday... :O) hugs

Hi legcramps,

Thanks again for your comment. I've been trying to take your advice about staying positive. I also believe that one can fight depression to some extent by simply refusing to let it take over! Having a nice weekend to recover does help, though...!

I'm sorry to hear how your exercise plans were interrupted. That happens to me all the time, too. I guess one just has to work around these interruptions as best one can. I'm sure cleaning bathrooms and cooking burns plenty of calories, too!

Weight: 133.5

I had a good day yesterday. Got two hours of exercise in and sweated off probably five pounds. At least, that's what it felt like.

I ate an egg omelette (with cheese and ham), a serving of veggie lasagna, one cup rice and two servings of cooked carrots. During the day I drank a lot of water, and one fruit drink.

Today's plan: one cup rice and one serving of cooked carrots, two chicken quesadillas. Lots of water, and a walk/jog around the park.

My walk/jogging is getting much better, unfortunately I never take my pedometer with me and I never know how far i've actually 'jogged'. I have certain markers picked out to help me find where I started from, but nothing showing where I finished. But I have noticed that I am not so much out of breath by the time I pass the tennis courts in the park, which means I have made some improvement.

That's about it for now. Later gators!

borntocry on 09/09/2004:
Hi legcramps,

Thanks so much for the comment you left me. I also feel that if one is to be honest with oneself, one has to accept that one will make mistakes in life and that there will be things which one regrets. I just hope that everything works out between my boyfriend/husband and my friends/family and that I don't end up regretting getting married!

I just feel that at some point my boyfriend/husband and I went from being mad about each other to just being mad AT each other. You know?

I'm sorry I haven't had the time to keep up with everyone's entries but I'm glad to see that you're keeping up the jogging and that your stamina is improving. I knew you would go far!!

feeleebubs on 09/09/2004:
That's awsome :) You sound like your doing great. I still can't seem to jog for more that a minute at a time so I always envy those who can jog or run any kind of a distance. When I walk, I take my car along the route that I normally walk and measure the distance on the odometer thing. I just set it to zero when I start it up. It's not completely accurate, but it's close.

monet0329 on 09/09/2004:
you go girl !!!...sounds like your doing great... I think the day that I can actually run again without the feeling of my legs breaking..that I will run and run and never wanna stop :O).. thats my goal.. one of them anyway..I will get there .. :O).. thanks for your comments they help me out alot to know other people care :O).. hugs..

Weight: 133.5

Let me just say that emotionally I didn't have the best day yesterday. I was stressed to the max and i'd had it up to my eyeballs and I was ready to hurt someone. This is what I ate:

1 cup rice, 1 serving veggie lasagna, 1 serving cooked carrots, 2.5 litres water, 1 cup coffee, 1 serving tossed salad with ranch dressing, 1 serving chicken breast, 2 ounces cheddar cheese.

That's not bad, right?! I thought I was going to end up eating the entire fridge. Literally.

I took my usual walk/jog last night and it was a killer because i'd been away from it for so long. After doing that, I did 15 minutes of weights, and some stretching.

Today I have wallyball again, and when I get home i'm hoping on starting a batch of chili. Other than that, it's a lazy one today! Hope yours is a happy one!

stringbean on 09/08/2004:

geevee on 09/08/2004:
Wallyball should make you feel better. I read your explanation of it yesterday. How interesting! What you ate yesterday wasn't bad at all.

Crittermama on 09/08/2004:
You did great with eating! Wonderful!! Congratulations! Exercise was great too!

legcramps - Tuesday Sep 07, 2004

Weight: 133.5

As I was saying to The Mother in her diary comments page, wallyball is very easy to play and very much like volleyball. You play in a squash or raquetball court. The net is about 2-3 inches higher than actual volleyball regulation size. Each team consists of four players. The rules are simple and not much different than you might expect, but the only thing i'll mention right now is that you play the ball off the walls as well as off hits made by an individual. Make sense? It's such a fun sport to play, recreationally or otherwise. Of course, I would never try the otherwise. It's way more fast-paced than regular volleyball, and it's hard sometimes to get out of the way of a speeding bullet, you know?!

Anyways, I had a great weekend! Okay, except for Sunday. Friday I guzzled down so much water! I ate rice, lentils, onions; I made vegetarian lasagna which was AWESOME. Friday I also tried the smoothie. I tried it before I got your message, geevee, so I went and picked up the yogurt and soy milk. But it's okay, because I liked it so much that I made one almost every day since Friday and i'm almost out of both! The fruits I used were strawberries and 1/2 an apple. I wanted to use bananas, but I would have had to buy more than four at a time and that won't work. Maybe i'll buy some for my boyfriend and then they'll get eaten more quickly! Anyhow, it was SO good! Thanks geevee! I made some for everyone this weekend!

Saturday was good too, again I had rice and a smoothie, then went out for supper and had a chicken salad sandwich with salad instead of fries, and coffee. It's a great start if you ask me. Sunday I had another sandwich with salad and I was doing great until I had a craving for chips. This is what I did to try and prevent myself from going out and buying some:

- I drank a whole litre of water as soon as I thought of eating chips! - I washed dishes AND did a load of laundry in an attempt to stop thinking about chips! - I waited for almost an hour before finally losing control!

It just didn't work. No matter what I tried. Finally, I gave in to my craving and bought some. By then, I was so 'starved' for chips that I barely tasted what went into my mouth. It just went in as fast as I could get it in! No matter, I had three servings of chips and then put the darn things away. So, bad, but, good. 'Cause I didn't eat the whole bag!

Yesterday I drank lots of water again and had leftover rice and lasagna. I cleaned my apartment yesterday and finished my landry - finally!

My weekend was pretty full - Saturday I had a wedding to attend, and Sunday night I went out to the lake for a dance. Which my boyfriend didn't go to and now he's angry with me because I went! Well, it wasn't that much fun without him anyways! So THERE! But aside from all the activity, I feel good today. I watched so many episodes of What Not To Wear, and today I put on a black skirt with tan boots and a red sweater because I felt guilty about always wearing the same boring things to work! Funny (and sometimes not) what t.v. can do to a person!

Hope you all had a great weekend! Have a good one today!

geevee on 09/07/2004:
Oh, I'm so glad you enjoyed the smoothies. They're real good substitutes for ice cream, and most of what your sweet tooth desires. It's hard to believe that something that tastes SO good could be so lo-cal!

geevee on 09/07/2004:
Thanks for your mental boost, Legcramps. I really do enjoy the rain and sitting outside, at least when it's overcast and the temps aren't so beastly but I simply HATE missing my exercise and watching my weight go up each day that I miss. I was just about to go and then there was another shower. I'm beginning to think I ought to check the weather channel to see what's going on. If that darned storm is heading my way I have to recover nine feet of glass dorrs, and I surely don't want to do it in higher winds and stronger rains.

monet0329 on 09/07/2004:
Hello hun.. no, I havent been dieting long.. should have been though..lol.. I just started this time on the 30th..but I have done this before.. the low carb thing.. but this time I am going to finish what I started .. I wanna be skinny like you heheh.. you have a great day hun.. hugs

TheMother on 09/07/2004:
Thanks for the wallyball 101 info. It's sounds like a lot of fun and great workout but you do need to be careful. Glad you had a nice weekend. Sounds like it was more fun than my deck staining project but you're 100% right about the feeling of accomplishment. The only problem is some body parts ache and I'm looking forward to a "light" evening tonight once I get home from work, take care of dinner and get my clothes, etc. ready for work tomorrow. Hope you have a good day/night too.

P.S. I bet the black skirt/red top and tan boots look fantastic!!

Umpqua on 09/07/2004:
It sounds like you had a great weekend and kept the food in check - we all have to give in to cravings sometimes! It's good to be on the go, you just don't think about food as much. That's the upside of this crazy week of cleaning and painting I'm going through. I wish I had time to ride the motorcycle, especially since come next week, I'll be forced to ride in the city with lots of traffic. I'd really like to get more practice in before that happens! Hopefully I'll have some down time this weekend, but I doubt it.

Thanks for your encouragement, and I hope you have a good week!

Thanks for the comments yesterday girls! I lost another pound! I think it was the wallyball from last night. I tell 'ya, when I finally walked outta there, I was soaked in sweat. Felt good, but i'm sure I didn't look that great! The phrase 'drowned rat' comes to mind....

I didn't go for a walk last night because I was just too pooped from playing sports. I grabbed a sub before heading to wallyball because I didn't have enough time to actually cook something. That's reserved for today I guess! Other than that, my day yesterday was great! I drank lots of water again, but I didn't try that smoothie yet, geevee. No time yesterday!

Today was egg whites and toast for breakfast, rice and salmon for lunch. I still want to make chicken fajitas, but I think I might tone it down and go for chicken stir fry instead. All those carbs are killing me, making me so tired all the time!

Hope everyone's doing good - talk to you again on monday! Have a great weekend!

Umpqua on 09/02/2004:
Wow, you're doing great with the food! The fajitas and stir fry both sound good, and I know what you mean about the carbs. Since I've cut back on them they do sap my energy if I overdo it with them. I hope you enjoy your weekend!!

What is wallyball? Whatever it is, it is helping you lose weight so it must be a good thing. Glad you had a great day and I hope today is a repeat. Enjoy your holiday weekend and look forward to reading your journal next week.

Take care,

Hi! Listen, you don't need milk or yogurt in a smoothie. I just happen to like the creamy texture it adds. I think most people just use the fruit and ice. That's all you really need, and you don't need tons of fruit around like I happen to have because I can't resist a bargain price on fruit. All you need is: pear, cantalope, and one of the following - a peach, blueberries, strawberries, honeydew, banana. I like a three fruit combo myself, but I'm sure a two fruit combo would be good too. I figure my huge smoothie at about 100 calories which is very little for so much pleasure.

Way to go! I want to know what wallyball is too! Who knows, maybe you've unwittingly sparked a global wallyball trend...

legcramps - Wednesday Sep 01, 2004

Weight: 134.5

Yesterday worked out pretty well. I made rice with corn and ham for dinner, had my soup for lunch, and munched on boiled egg whites. Ooo, exciting, huh?! I wasn't really hungry yesterday. I drank lots of water too.

Yesterday I decided to get on with that weighlifting that i've been putting off for far too long. I was feeling pretty good after work, so I walked over to my boyfriend's and spent 30 minutes lifting. It felt good, but it also felt like I hadn't gained anything because i'd left it for so long. Oh well. When I was done lifting, I sat on the bike for 20 minutes. After supper, I was feeling oddly full and fidgety, so I decided to go for a walk uptown to take back some movies and such. It ended up being a 2.5 mile walk. I really enjoyed that walk last night, I got to be by myself and just think about stuff.

Today started off with egg whites and water. Lunch is salmon with rice and corn, and dinner i'm going to make something. I don't know what yet, but hopefully if I remember to take out the whole wheat wraps that are in the freezer, I can make chicken fajitas! Ya!

Today is cardio - wallyball for 2 hours. Maybe another walk when I get home, and my ab routine. Bye all!

If your town has a health food store or market, check it out for rice. My Wild Oats has brown basmati, red Bhutan, Chinese Black Forbidden. Of course they're expensive but I enjoy the variety and chewy texture. I had always thought that rice was rice. Period. I had no idea at all about the wide variety that was available. I eat the expensive varieties on the nights when I don't have meat and like to combine them with some sort of beans.

I can't remember who it was who introduced me to smoothies but it was someone on DD's, and I am eternally grateful! I felt like such a nerd not knowing about them and they're SO easy to make. You can use any fruit at all in any combination at all. Experiment and you learn what your taste buds like. For example, for me, a half of a banana is enough. A whole one is too much. I usually cut up 3, sometimes 4 different fruits, add a little non-fat milk in the blender and grind it up. Then I add a glass full of ice and grind it again. Some of my combos have been: melon, an apple, cantalope / pear, cantalope, banana, and so on. Sometimes it just depends on what I happen to have. I also add a spoonful or two of NF yogurt to add to the creaminess. I'm telling you, this is my dessert of choice! It's so cheap and lo-cal and delicious. How can something be THAT good? Try it and let me know.

Thanks for your comment :) I did have a pretty good day today. I am homesick though. I was homesick before I got here! I hope you have a good rest of the week.
