It was such a lovely, relaxing (for the most part) weekend. I want to re-live it all over again, please.

Can't do that?


I was definitely feeling ill last week. I went to bed early on Thursday night and slept right through to 1pm on Friday afternoon! Wow. For the rest of the day I felt like I was in another dimension, my head was not on straight. So I layed low.

Saturday I was up mid-morning, scraping paint, mudding, shovelling snow and cleaning my pantry. Very fruitful day. In the evening, friends came over for coffee (okay, beer) and chit-chat.

On Sunday I had to shovel yet again, as it had snowed overnight. Late afternoon I had an event to go to, and had a great time doing some fundraising. When I got home around 9pm, I stayed up to watch Peace, Love and Misunderstanding. I had an extremely restless sleep (of course, since I had to be up for work this morning) and my eyes are bugging on me. One lid is sleepy and will only open halfway, and the other eye is bloodshot. I am hot, I know.

I don't have much on the agenda for today, so I might take a quick nap after work and then try to get an insanity workout in along with my regular stretches and pushups. It's a lot all at once, but i'm going to try my best to accomplish it. I always have more energy in the beginning of the week than at the end, regardless of what I do!

Food Today - mocha, coffee, water, broccoli soup, brown rice, brussel sprouts, green pepper, spinach, maybe some soy sauce. Trying to work my way through the fridge and cupboards so that I can start fresh when I get groceries LOL.

Progress as of today: 14 lbs lost so far, only 11 lbs to go!

Sorry your weekend wasn't long enough, it never is is it? What's up with your eyes? I hope you didn't get pink eye :( Glad your are feeling better, and got lots of rest and LOL @ having friends over for "coffee" ;)

ermagherd, it was so hard to get up this morning!

I need toothpicks to prop my eyes open.

Yesterday I flipped between handing out candy to the kids for halloween, cleaning the house, and watching scary movies. It was a very fun time and I had some pretty cute kids show up. Iron Man and Darth Vader tried to double-back for more candy, but nothing gets past me, man.

And then I put the radio on for awhile before going to sleep, and that kept me awake longer than usual, so i'm feeling a little like smoked turkey right now.

Really? Smoked turkey?

I also got my stretches and pushups in - and now I should go update my pushups logger.

Food yesterday - mocha, potato salad, pudding, chicken and spinach pizza (thin crust), chocolate

Food today (plan) - mocha, sandwich, chicken and spinach pizza (thin crust), pudding

Catching up on your last 3 posts - ouch on the oven cleaner....I have done that. I HATE that job. Even though I have a self-cleaning oven you still have to do the parts that don't clean themselves plus it takes FORever! I had to laugh at your comment about kids trying to double back for more candy!!

My hot streak continued yesterday, even though I didn't do ALL of the things I wanted to. I ended up spending another hour after work, running around on errands and then taking a floor plant to my friend's new salon - yesterday was her first official day!

Once I got home I was pooped. I made a snack of cheese and crackers, and sat on the couch for a bit watching Ghost Whisperer. I tell 'ya, i'm in love with this show at the moment LOL. It's all I do. Well, besides farmville of course.


After my snack, I cleaned the oven. Then I cleaned the oven again. I kept rinsing it and rinsing it, hoping to get all the cleaner off so that I could make myself something for dinner. Would you believe I still haven't gotten it all off? That stuff is wicked. Plus, it burned the side of my finger. Now I have a big gash there, and it's all swollen and ouchy. Stupid cleaning. Why was cleaning invented anyways?

And yes, I DID wear rubber gloves. Mostly...

I wiped down a couple other things, did the dishes and started a load of laundry.

I am prepped for Hallowe'en today with lots of chocolate and I even carved a pumpkin for the front steps. Now if I could only find my Hallowe'en decorations that I OCD'd over and packed away somewhere where i'll never find them.

Perhaps today is sweep and dust day. And watch some more Ghost Whisperer day. And hand out candy to the kids day.

Did you know Hallowe'en is my favorite holiday EVER? I just love it!

I did a LOT yesterday. Even though I am sick, I just kept on going. I can hardly believe it myself LOL.

After work, I had to go to a few different stores for supplies and groceries, plus I went to the post to pick up the mail. When I got home about an hour later I unpacked all my purchases and set up the halloween candy in the front porch so that I could forget about it until tomorrow. Then I cleaned the microwave, and sprayed the oven with cleaner.

I had a little coughing fit after doing that, so I took a break to check facebook and start up an episode of Ghost Whisperer. After my break, I threw a load of laundry into the washer, finished up over 3 litres of water (new goal!) and did my stretches and my pushup challenge.

Then I took a warm bath, got changed into pj's, and prepped for the next day.

I don't know if I can push that out again today, but i'll try. All that's really on the list for today is to clean the couch and finish cleaning the oven and fan.

But I could really go for it and start cleaning the fridge and scraping the little section of paint that I need to re-do.

Oh and I should stop by the tire shop so they can re-torque the... tires? or whatever. And I should probably get gas seeing as I almost didn't make it to work this morning.

Also I have that stretching and pushup challenge on the agenda.

So I guess there's a lot to do today. Who knew?

I think getting Gas should be top of that to do list, well unless you wanna walk home from work ;) Seriously i hope you get all your needful things done today.. OH RYC Asylum is 30 days.. Most of the classes are 60 minutes and "Championship Day"( kinda like game day) is EVERY Saturday with a "fit test" at the END(yes every Saturday).. Shaun T is off his friggin rocker and i LOVE it..

I've been stuck at home pretty well all weekend; thank goodness I can get back out into the world today, even it if means going back to work LOL.

I went to bed earlier than usual on Friday night, knowing that my sinuses were about ready to burst into a full blown head cold, and woke up late Saturday morning. On Saturday I did some stuff outside, did some stuff inside, started a couple of projects, but mostly laid on the couch and drank lots of water. No way was this cold going to get the best of me.

On Saturday night, I almost opted out of a hallowe'en party altogether, but at the last minute I decided to go. I had three drinks and was back at home by 1:30am. That almost never happens LOL. You know legcramps is sick when... she gets home before 4am. LOL.

Sunday morning. Woke up. Still had a cold. Went downstairs for coffee. BAM into the bathroom. Checked out shocked face in mirror, wondered WTH just happened. Three more times in the space of the morning hours and you KNOW I didn't stray too far from the bathroom. I watched a lot of old Ghost Whisperer episodes.

By the time lunch came around, I was seriously dragging some butt. The coffee I had was long gone, and I was hungry. I was also scared that i'd be affected by whatever I ate, and so I needed to choose my lunch carefully. I ended up going with chicken noodle soup. BAD IDEA. That didn't stay in me very long. I highly doubt I got any nutrients from that meal.

During this time I did manage to get down two cups of water. Woohoo.

Finally, around 4pm I started to feel better. Less trips to the bathroom. Food was not going through me like butter. I took my temperature and it was in the normal range.

Unfortunately, I had already bowed out of the Fall Supper at my Church. Perogies, cabbage rolls, sausage. I am so angry that I had to miss this meal! But I wouldn't have enjoyed myself, and I would have worried that I was infecting everyone around me, particularly Grandma. So instead, I made myself chicken, spicy french fries, and brussel sprouts. It was a wierd combination, but it worked. No issues.

Except that this morning I checked the scale and it says I gained like four pounds over the weekend. That's ridiculous considering what I ate.

Plus, my clothes are loose, so WTH Scale? Batteries must be dying.

I am feeling a little better today, thank goodness. No balance issues yet!

Yesterday was rough, though. I was so tired and i'm not really sure why. Maybe because I feel like i've been running around like a banshee all week LOL. I've been noticing that my memory hasn't been great this week; i've forgotten to do a whole plethora of things - I think of it, and then the thought totally abandons me. I haven't even been able to remember it long enough to write it down. Anyways, I didn't get much done after the workday was over. I didn't feel like eating, but I made myself some chicken and choked it down along with some steamed bell pepper.

Then I pretty much stared at the wall and drank water for the rest of the night. I got a whole lot of water in yesterday ;)

Today i'm looking forward to my massage appointment after work! I also have the pushup challenge to get done, hopefully this afternoon (I try to do it during my break in the afternoon at work, then I don't feel like it's one more thing I have to do after work).

And then i'm going to relax, call Dad, and maybe get to sleep early.

Wednesday - stretching; pushup challenge; insanity; clean (general); pickup outside

My streak ended yesterday. I had one of those days where you can't make a decision to save your life. Ever have a day like that? It's not fun. I really didn't end up doing much of anything, so heaven only knows why I couldn't fit in a workout in between my non-existent activity. Such a bizarre day.

For some reason, none of the food I ate yesterday tasted very good. Hope i'm not getting sick. I ended up not eating very much - 1/2 of a turkey wrap at lunch, a serving of squash casserole at dinner, and then I tried a bagel with cream cheese around 8pm; got about 1/3 of that down before it stopped tasting good. Anyways, it wasn't a good day for nutrition, but I still got in my water goal so at least there's something to be happy about ;)

My balance is also off. Both yesterday morning and this morning I had some trouble walking after waking up; I keep losing my balance.

Thursday - stretching; walk; insanity; clean spare rooms; laundry

I don't know if i'll plan to do an insanity workout - it will depend on how much nutrition I can get in today and whether or not i'll be able to keep my balance throughout the workout.

And I have a great big pile of laundry, so that for sure needs to get done.

No pushup challenge today! Nice to have a rest day; those sessions are getting harder as time goes forward. I'm up to over 50 pushups now. Over halfway there!

Another good one in the books!

I might have bigger dreams than reality can handle today. Town elections are today, as well as a hockey game and a bluegrass concert. I may not have time to put into the Wednesday chores. Sometimes things like great music or political mumbo-jumbo take priority over the daily chores to be done at home.

I would just like to note that I am ready for a work-break. Like, a week-long work-break. And since the heavens just might be in a generous mood, i'd also like to have an unlimited spending allowance. Wouldn't we all?!

Yesterday morning I woke up to snow on the ground. Throughout the day, it rained and slightly melted the snow. There's still a little left here and there, but the worrying thing right now is going to be how icy it gets with the rain and slushy conditions. Winter!

I am in a hungry mood today...

SNOW?? I wish...It's 78 degrees and the A/C is running and I just wish we were in the 50's and I could enjoy gumbo and a nice fire. Isn't it funny, those with snow don't want it and those without want it?? Kind of like straight hair and curly hair! Enjoy your day and maybe the genie will grant you your wishes!! Happy Tuesday!

I had a good day yesterday.

Monday - stretching; pushup challenge; walk; clean bathroom/kitchen/mudroom CHECK

The part where I was supposed to go for a walk didn't happen, but i'm counting what I did during the day at work and after work while helping a friend with her new business venture as my walk. But still, very good day! And now I have a clean bathroom, kitchen and mudroom. That's a great bonus.

I stayed up later than usual and had a hard time falling asleep. But goshdarnit, at least now all my farmville animals are fed and I don't have to worry about letting them all starve while i'm sleeping...

So it was a little hard to wake up this morning, but the two bright as hell lightbulbs I replaced in the bathroom yesterday did a real bang-up job showering light into the room. I woke up pretty quickly once I was in there ;)

Tuesday - stretching; pushup challenge; 30 day shred; clean living room

Today should be a little less busy, which is wonderful because by the time I get everything done, those damn farmville animals will need food again and i'm sure my crops will have withered into dust.

Farmville might be taking over my life.

Hahahahahaha! Well at least you are a good farmer that sacrifices sleep to make sure all the animals are tended to ;) I used to have a serious "Mafia Wars" addiction..I was totally obsessed with wacking people and recruiting mob members :( Anyhoo get to bed early tonight, I am taking my own advice as well..I have been staying up far too late on "school nights" Good job on your workouts, have a wonderful evening!

Monday? AGAIN? LOL.

I had a pretty laid-back weekend; yesterday I managed to get the dishes and laundry done, but spent the remainder of my time flipping between reading and watching movies. I finally watched paranormal activity 3 (I know, I know, the 4th one is out already) and some other wierd blair-witchy thing about aliens. Or something. I only watched 1/3 of it.

I'm going to give this healthy living thing one of the best weeks of my life. I've been feeling a little lazy and I think it's time to step up the program.

I am also going to try and get some other things done during the week. Things I usually leave for the weekend. I think this weekend will be busy, so i'd like to get as much out of the way as possible before then.

I have a massage coming up on Friday which i'm really looking forward to; another great reason to go all out this week - my muscles will thank me i'm sure!

Doing great on the water intake! At least 2.5 litres a day!
