It was so windy yesterday! I thought i'd see some trees knocked over and some damage to homes this morning, but nothing seemed any different as I drove to work today. The wind needs to stay away today so that I can get outside and start working on cleaning up the yard for fall.

I went on a HUGE grocery run yesterday; it was Ten for Ten Days so I stocked up on frozen chicken, crackers, rice, and pasta sauce. I also now have an abundance of fresh vegetables in the fridge and this weekend i'm going to try my hand at Stuffed Peppers in the crockpot!

I got home pretty late, so I didn't get much accomplished in terms of evening exercise or housework. I did the exercises as prescribed by the massage therapist, and then snacked on some mix while reading. I also got a few phone calls done and finally made some plans with D. We'll see how that goes.

Breakfast - mocha, bagel

Lunch - steak, potatoes, coleslaw

Snack PM - Ack! I forgot fruit AGAIN! Good thing I brought granola bars.

Dinner - Chicken and rice sounds good.

Exercise - Insanity! P&R completed early AM; Exercises for therapy x 2; a little light walk after work would be nice if it's nice outside.

I might take tomorrow off work, to get started on all the work I have to do this weekend. There is some time I have banked that I can take. I also need to visit Dad this weekend and see how he's doing. Lots to do!

Much better day yesterday. My back was still sore, but nothing like it was on Monday thank goodness.

Right after work I went to get my hair cut and colored. I should take a picture and show you guys - I think it looks awesome!

I stopped at the grocery store on my way home and picked up chicken and rice for dinner because I just wasn't feeling porkchops. By the time dinner was cooked, I had tidied up the living room and kitchen and started the dishes.

After eating I continued to clean things up, finished a load of laundry that had been sitting in the dryer for a couple of days, and knocked some things off my to do list. I felt WAY more accomplished than on Monday ;)

After that, I was invited to F's for... tea. Strange. But then company came over and saved me from having to tell him I was busy when I really wasn't. F is strange. That is all. My company stayed for a little while, and when they left I cleaned up after them and decided to call it a night.

This morning I woke up with tonnes of energy so I did an Insanity workout before getting ready for work. When I walked into the office, one of my co-workers lost it over my hair ;)

Breakfast - mocha, bagel

Lunch - chicken and rice

PM Snack - oh crap! I forgot to bring an apple.

Dinner - steak and potatoes

Geez. I could really use some vegetables in my life.

I barely got through the workday yesterday; my lower back was in horrendous pain! I hope today will be better...

Breakfast - bagel, peanut butter, mocha

Lunch - cafeteria (lazy bones!)

PM Snack - apple, peach

Dinner - porkchop, rice, vegetables

Exercise - yoga workout

Lots of water!

I didn't get anything done last night; instead, I layed on the couch trying to find the best position that didn't give me as much pain. I took advil, but I didn't have any muscle relaxants so it didn't help a whole lot. I did my exercises probably five times yesterday just to try and relieve some of the pain; it was incredible. My therapist will definitely be hearing about this little turn of events!

Obviously, laying on the couch all night provided me the perfect opportunity to stew and think about things. I managed to talk myself out of doing something I really wanted to do. Go figure.

Progress as of today: 14 lbs lost so far, only 11 lbs to go!

Oh No :( I hope your back feels better by now..If not try a few cat stretches or lie on your back and do the single leg side twist like Skip does in that yoga class I sent ya..A minute on each side might do a world of wonders for your back..If you are in severe pain(I hope not) you might want to see a doctor..In any case I hope it resolves soon <3

Breakfast - mocha; apple

Lunch - meatballs, boiled potatoes

Exercise - walk, 1 hour

Lots of water

I got my massage on Friday after work, and boy did she ever go full force! When I finally got home all I wanted to do was collapse on the couch and call it a day. She really worked my muscles hard, and she even gave me some homework! This chick is ca-razy! But I like it LOL. I have four exercises I have to do twice a day, plus I need to be more aware of how i'm sitting in my chair at work, and how often I clamp my jaw together. These things are all contributing to tightness in my neck which is giving me headaches, limited range of motion in my neck, and tightness in my piformis, which could lead to a whole bottle of issues if I let it. I've been drinking as much water as possible, but I STILL feel sore more than two days later!

I didn't accomplish much on the weekend besides some exercising, and i've pretty much dedicated the next one to getting things done. Hopefully I don't get off track. I went golfing on Saturday with D and that went well. Then later on it didn't go so well. Then it just turned into one very long night. Sunday I wasted time watching movies and taking naps all day long.

I have a lot to do today. Guess i'd better get to it!

Your massage therapist sounds like a real keeper! I love that she gives homework. That's a lot like my chiropractor. His suggestions help a bunch, too.

Hopefully between the massage and the homework you will ward off the aches and pains. I was looking into getting an ergonomic chair for work and trying to sit with better posture. I had a massage on my trip and it was amazing! Hope you have a productive day!

Yesterday was another good day to write up in the books.

I cooked my meatballs and tried to wait patiently for them to finish cooking before digging in. I usually eat dinner earlier than most people (like, 5pm... or right when I get home from work at 4pm...) so it was hard to wait, I was hungry. Man, were they worth the wait! I spiced them up with some chili sauce I found at the grocery store, and served boiled potatoes and fresh cucumber salad. The sweet part about making a large batch of meatballs is that I now have enough leftovers to last me for a long time. I may have to freeze some of it.

Today I was able to get some exercise in. The undersoles of my feet are still showing signs of a rash, but I think if I keep socks and runners on it might be okay. I did another yoga workout and at lunchtime i'm going to do some walking. Wasn't up early enough for Insanity today!

Then later i'm having dinner with my BFF to celebrate her becoming a business owner! I am so excited for her! I will have to order us a couple glasses of bubbly :)

Right after work today I made a massage appointment FINALLY! so i'm really looking forward to that. Goals for today are to drink as much water as possible before and after my massage.

After I drink my coffee quota, of course.

Mornings are normally hard for me. I wander around the house, not quite awake, not quite asleep, not really looking at anything in particular. I have to shower every morning or I don't feel completely awake until mid-morning. Working out is even better; the surge of adrenaline really helps me to face the day. Today was no exception. And without a morning workout scheduled, what did that mean for me?

That meant I forgot to put my ingredients into the crockpot (meatballs) this morning. Not a huge deal, i'll go home for lunch and do it then, or do it right after work and eat a little later tonight. The little things just piss me off sometimes, you know?

I got another chunk of to-do items done yesterday, and i'm rearing to keep the streak going today. If all goes as planned, I should only have yardwork left for this weekend. Why i'm doing my spring cleaning in the fall i'll never know, but I need to act on the impulse or it'll never get done!

And i'm glad I may not have much to do this weekend, because D called last night and we're planning on golfing a lot of the weekend away. I was surprised that he called after my freak show, but then I realized I am ALL THAT and of course he would call heheh because who would want to GIVE UP on the PRIZE that is me? Anyhoo. I hope he enjoys sarcasm.

It's almost unbelievable, but I got the majority of my to-do list for yesterday accomplished, even including a visit from a friend and watching some Ghost Whisperer episodes in the evening! I really just wanted to take a nap after work, but I forced myself to keep moving. Thank goodness I did, because I have another big list for today.

No walking to work for me this week, in order to give my feet a rest. I also let myself sleep in this morning. All my energy needs to go into getting the house in order before the snow starts to fall. I know it's still early, but you never know what Mother Nature will pull out of her socks next.

Today i'm going to try to make crockpot meatballs and potatoes fresh from the garden for tomorrow's meals. Doesn't that sound delicious? It does to me. Unfortunately, besides a meal of green beans, potatoes and onions were about all I could find in the garden that was still edible. Too bad.

Staff appreciation BBQ today at work; they're serving burgers, cucumber salad and watermelon. I think i'm over watermelon now that it's no longer hot outside. But i'm still in love with cucumber salad!

legcramps - Tuesday Sep 04, 2012

Well, I don't think i'm still feeling lethargic from jetlag. I think there is something wrong. I'm taking decongestants because my sinuses keep plugging up, my throat is sore and my neck hurts. Sounds like a virus or infection to me.

I've also noticed a rash of bumps on the bottom (soft middle part) of my foot. Yep, definitely fighting something so i'd better keep my eye on this in case it gets worse.

Anyways, let's get to the weekend recap!

Saturday I went to the city to visit with Dad. I stayed there longer than i'd first intended, so I didn't get back home until around dinnertime. I called up my Bff and we got hot dog supplies and margarita mix and headed to her place to "fake camp" for the evening LOL. I needed to just relax and let loose. We sat around her firepit most of the night and it was awesome! I still managed to get a worrisome phone call from my Dad's ex; stirring up trouble and creating drama.

Bff's hubby came home after golfing and brought a friend with him (let's call him D); i'm not sure, and i'm freaking out a little bit about this, but he might be cool. That's all i'm going to say about that LOL, but I will add that it was a pretty good night ;)

Sunday afternoon (yeah, I didn't wake up too early) I went golfing for over three hours, then to a friend's BBQ.

Monday I did nothing. Really. I think I was still recovering from Saturday night! D stopped by for a few minutes and then I cut the conversation short because I was freaking out a little bit. Apparently, i'm not good at this whole boy-girl thing. I watched a lot of movies, did a little bit of cleaning, and started a to-do list for the week.

And that brings us to today! I have a crapload of things to do! Yay! Happy Monday!

I guess you must be attracted if he is making ya all skittish..LOL Just act like a little Fonzie and be "cool" next time he pops by, invite him in, don't shoo him away, if you are a bit tongue tied just let him do all the talking or just pop in a movie(that way you won't have to talk)nothing too mushy... I am sure he may have been a bit confused by your actions but maybe you didn't scare him off completely. Maybe call him and invite him for dinner(okay maybe not if you are not able to carry on a conversation, but then again you could have a drink or two for some liquid courage?) Well CRAP. CRAPPITY CRAP. CRAP. At least it's Friday!

I went to Grandma's yesterday for dinner - she fed me stuffed squash, grilled chicken and cucumber salad. What a smart and healthy gramma! And then we had lemon cupcakes for dessert

I brought squash leftovers home so that's what i'll be having today for lunch. She also gave me a giant squash to cook however I want, and a big bag of cucumbers that i'm going to slice into cucumber salad after work today. My backpack was pretty heavy during the walk home!

After reading for about 5 seconds, I fell asleep on the couch.

This morning has been rough ever since opening my eyes and realizing that I was still on the couch.

I had some trouble getting up. I squished myself into such a wierd position when I was sleeping that it was literally difficult to unwind myself in order to get up off the couch. Finally, I managed to, then proceeded to limp and drag my way to the bathroom to change for Insanity. In half an hour I was able to slowly get my workout clothes on, prep my Glutamine drink, and tie the shoelaces on my runners before "pressing play" on the workout.

I got through the warmup. Today was Cardio Power & Resistance and the warmup was awesome. I was loving it! I was pumped up! Life was good!

Then we stretched - all good. I had some water and nearly threw up. Uh-oh, what's going on?

We started power jumping. Okay, THEY started power jumping and I watched. The remainder of the workout was spent like this: try, try, stop, watch, drink water, feel sick, try, try, etc.

Also? My SHINS were so sore! I want to try another run tomorrow morning, but I don't know how i'm going to accomplish that if my shins won't play along.

I still walked to work because i'm stubborn like that. I feel okay right now, but we'll see how the day plays out. Maybe I caught a bug or something. That would explain why i've not gotten over my jetlag yet.

I should have brought some advil to work with me this morning...

After work yesterday I made myself a snack size cheese and crackers (score for portion control!) using triscuits and mozza cheese, the gentlest cheese on my stomach. Then I alllllllmooooost fell asleep. I did not insert toothpicks because I didn't want to go blind, so instead I drove downtown and got a couple packs of my current favorite beer, NewCastle Brown Ale. I plopped four into a cooler, and headed over to the BBQ.

They made chicken and beef burgers, so I had chicken and some pasta salad that was so delicious I could have eaten the entire bowl. Thankfully, I stopped after a 1/4 cup because I knew I had some beer to drink LOL.

I didn't think i'd finish four beer, but I did. As well as half a bottle of Motts Ceasar. I didn't particularly like the way it tasted, so i'm not sure why I drank half the bottle. Probably because i'd already had four beer?

Anyways, I flew into bed when I got home late last night, and this morning was here in the blink of a very bloodshot eye.

You'll be about as surprised as I was to learn that I still got up and did a yoga workout that V sent me. With bloodshot eyes. In the dark because there was a power outage in town this morning. And then I walked to work. I know, I know, I don't even recognize myself LOL.

Tonight I have dinner with Grandma and then i'm going home and avoiding the rest of the beer that's in the fridge.

If I walk into a desk at work today, it will be for a whole other reason than simply because i'm clumsy. My brain is trying very hard to focus, but it's not going well.

RYC thanks, that makes sense. But I have to have set limits. I know I can't trust my own judgement as far as food goes. I can raise the limits but I have to count the calories or I'm in trouble.
