good evening everyone,

its weigh in night!  I weigh in every monday at 7pm and have to say im 1.5lbs lighter yeah!!! it could have been more but for the alcohol over new year.  but now back on trach and heading for 2lbs next week! first day back at work today and there is a risk school will be closed tomorrow due to a servere weather warning tonight!  as our kids all have complex care needs we have to keep them safe and getting stuck in a snow storm without medication would not be nice! menu for today:

b- coffee, yoghurt raspberries

l - homemade veg soup, coffee, water yoghurt banana

d - egg and cottage cheese flan with pan fried peppers, mushroooms and onions, baked beans, raspberries frozen yoghurt, coffee, water

s - banana, yoghurt

have a good rest of the night.  be safe be healthy!

good morning all,

another night and another snow fall.  off skiing for the last time before work and school take over daily life once more.  we have all been off for the last 2 weeks and i have to tell you its going to be hard to get back in the grove of everyone doing their own thing again after doing everything as a family for the last fortnight! anyway, i couldnt log in yesterday because i was so tired!

menu for today:

b- raspberries mullerlight yoghurt,coffee

l- 3 boiled eggs, mullerlight yoghurt, coffee, water

d- stir fried egg noodles peppers onions wocester sauce mushrooms, 1 glass rose wine (250ml)

s- apples, yoghurt, raspberries

I have taken to eating a fair amount of raspberries because I have read that they are superfood and assist with weighloss! (we shall see)

what ever you do today do it in a healthy and safe way but enjoy!

Thanks for the suggestions! Great looking menu today. I LOVE wine. Major weakness for me. Up side is my favorite is a red wine which is healthy by the glass, my weakness is that when it is around it is hard to just have 1 glass. Have an awesome day tomorrow!

guess what?    went to bed 2mins after midnight woke up this morning and more snow! not just a little bit but about 3inches!!!!! anyway, happy new year to everyone.  its 8.30 here and the view is just beautiful.  so we are off skiing today its just to good to miss.  heres my menu for today:

b - mullerlight yoghurt, raspberries and banana, coffee, tea

l - homemade soup (taken in flask, and eaten on side of piste)

d - cottage pie (mashed swede, sweet potato, carrot instead of a potato topping)  with carrots, peas, brussel sprouts, mullerlight yoghurt, banana, water

s - banana, pear, water

just hope we can acually get out of the street this am.  fotunately, yesterday we bought some snow chains so it should be a piece of cake!  where ever you are and what ever you are doing, be safe and be healthy!

guess what?  woke up to find it had snowed..........again.  we have had snow for the last 2 weeks thawing through the day then freezing in the night with more showers this is crazy!  having said that we are off skiing again today yipee!!!  hubbys birthday so we will be having family over tonight.  play a few games and eat some food.  im not drinking alcohol tonight as I have to drive everone home this is good because my body could do with a rest after all the seasonal drinking!!!!  im making the food to so i can make all good, healthy food with a few treats for the others im staying well away!!!! heres my menu for today:

b - mullerlight yoghurt raspberries, coffee

l- homemade tomatoe soup

d- turkey buffet

s- pear, banana

off to buy some logs for the fire this morning.  need to keep the home fire burning as it is freezing here in the countryside! heres the intended menu for today:

b- banana and strawberry mullerlight, coffeex2

l- more veg soup, water

d- cottage pie topped with mashed swede, carrot and sweet potato, water

s- apple, pear, water

It would be wonderful to be out in the country at this time of year! I spent Christmas with some family out at the lake, which was truly peaceful and relaxing, even with 6 little kids running around! Wallyball is a sport played in a raquetball or squash court, much the same as volleyball. It's fun, and really fast-paced! Great workout! Have a wonderful day :)

hi, everyone

Ihave been missing for some time, however, here's hoping Ill be around for a lot longer this time.  its nice to see some familiar faces here still.  hope everyone had a fantastic holiday.  im off skiing this afternoon at the local ski slopes in weardale.  i just love the snowy weather.  good luck to all you for this week and I hope you all have a great new year.  as you can see I have been working extremely hard on my weught loss and have been very successfull here ios my daily food log

b- mullerlight manderin yoghurt with banana

l- home made veg soup

d - homemade chicken kiev (chicken breast sliced in the middle with laughing cow chhese triangle mixed with 1 crushed garlic) rolled in bread crumbs) with oven abked potato wedges

s - mullerlight strawb yoghurt, tea, coffee and water

Great souding food. I love the laughing cow cheese! Congratulations on your success. Skiing is such great exercise. You burn more calories in the cold weather, too.

oh dear, first of all Im sorry  I haven't been here for a while!  ive been reading but not posting!  why? because since I have been under the weather I have mentally lost the battle.........I havent gained nor lost any weight but feel so low its depressing!  I would just like to say well done to everyone who has been focused and determined in their quest for personal well being.  hope i can join you soon, until then take care! and good luck!

Well, at least you are still reading. Maybe you could try a half day commitment. Like - "this afternoon I will eat well and exercise" Something that will get you jumpstarted, but not so overwhelming that it takes huge focus, just a 4 hour commitment.

We have all been there. The important thing is, is that you don't say to yourself its too late for me to start again. Heck I left this place for a hole year. And now I am back again. You just gotta keep trying again and again. Because the truth is your allowd to fail time and time again. But what people forget to realize is that after so many set backs your still allowed to pick yourself back up again and again. Never be ashamed of failing to hit goals only be ashamed of not trying to move forward.

You can only go as far as you push!

phew was losing hope of saying goodbye to 160 but I do know that it wasnt as hard saying hello to 160!

anyway, a pretty good weekend and a positive start to the week!

sunday

b- 1 weetabix, 10 strawberries, coffee, tea water with 2%milk in cereal and coffee/tea

l - roast beef, mashed potatoe, swede, durham bullets(steeped peas), green cabbage, yorkshire pudding with mint, water, pineapple, blackcurrant and banana smoothie iced lolly

d - roast chicken wrap with stir fryed vegtables, water

spent all day yeaterday cleaning the house after a week of minimal house work due to work and children!! so will count that as exercise, even broke a sweat cleaning the fish tank, then I tackled the oven and bedrooms/bathrooms.

today we have been swimming and although i did only ten 25metre laps i did do alot of playing with the kids so a very active weekend!

tomorrow Im working with some young children with motor difficulties so will be fully active providing conductive education to children aged 3-5 so another  very active day

sunday evening here so to all you who have just started sunday have a good one I did!

abdab74 told me about it - it's so much easier than keeping track on your own. Check it out on the website livestrong.com (Lance Armstrong's site) very cool - look for the chart and tracking tools under Nutrition icon it's call the DAILY PLATE and it's so easy!!! Good luck.

Way to go! Nice menu. I was thinking about what you said about how eating less is worse than eating more and its so true, If you have more, its okay, you just amp up the exercise. But if you have less, your just running on empty!
