So, I started cleaning this morning, whcih led to cleaning the mess of dust and wires behind the tv. I have three old game consoles lying back there, and no real idea what to do with them. Keep? Sell? There's still games to play and I might want to use that region 1 DVD player someday. The vacuum cleaner, though, doesn't seem to work anymore and I'm more ready to chuck it into the trash in anger.

Typhoon Trami's blowing through tonight. It wrecked through the south (my brother stationed in Okinawa said he was without electricity for two days). It's not nearly as strong now, after traveling up the coast, as it was down there, but it's still very windy and full of rain.

... It'll probably be fine. *fingers crossed*

Tomorrow, work, probably? Maybe?

Looking at your lunch menu gets my mouth watering. Now I'm craving some fried chicken wings covered with an asian-style sauce and a side of kimchi.

It seems like vacuums only last for 5 or 6 years around here...trying to clean with one that doesn't work is such a disappointing waste of time....Congrats on the pound lost!!

I don't know how long vacuums are supposed to last. I had mine for over ten years, but I rarely used it.

I think you need to go over to Gain's house and help him clean up his work area, LOL... He's right - fried chicken sounds delicious! I can't remember the last time I had fried chicken. Wings or spicy nuggets sound really good right now - YUM!

... I slept and ignored my chores. Which isn't to say that today was bad. I thought it went okay. Apart from how little I got done.

I didn't eat well today. Not at all. I was hungry, but I didn't feel like cooking. And I didn't feel like buying food, either. I just ate whatever was on hand.

Sleep is very important. Lately, when i need it and without any sleep aids, i can sleep 10hours no problem. it's necessary and a healer for our bodies.

i am ignoring chores today too...mostly i have chores set aside for next Monday when i am off. just a couple chores! :)

sorry you didn't have anything like veggies on hand, i try to actually by some prepared food when i know i will be home and want some health food options when i'm home...especially lately now that my car is not near my apartment because they are doing repaving of the garage area...means that i am less likely to go out and walk to my car LOL...i may go get it today though! so it's close by for tomorrow evening when i need it!...but prob not...haha...see!? not eager to walk to my car!

Payday has come, and I got a nice chunk of money from all the weird work I did in August. It relaxed me so much that I went a little nuts at the dollar store. I bought so many cleaning supplies.

Ah, Red Bull. I did go a bit too nuts, I think.

But I have money to pay bills and not feel so stressed out like I felt this past month. I went to the dollar store and the pharmacy, but not the grocery store, during my post-work spree. Because I really didn't feel like cooking tonight, either.

I will go tomorrow.

I walked 10k steps today. Yay.

I'm very tired.

Tonight, I'm doing a bit of laundry and drawing a lot. I fudged a file last night (always save your work!), so I'm going to try to redraw the lost picture. But, the version I lost wasn't that great. So I'm going to push myself to make something more better.

I guess. I'd rather sleep.

I got an email today about volunteering for the Tokyo Olympics/Paralympics. 10 days, 8-hour days, doing all sorts of stuff in the middle of the summer. A possibly hot, melting, neverending 100-degree summer. (This past summer was a torment.)

By the time the Games starts that summer, I think I will be free. So I might just apply. See what happens.

The best part of lunch was the stew, hands down. I love Japanese sweet potatoes with a passion. (Also the salad tasted like butt and the chicken tasted too strongly of lemon.)

Ostensibly because of the Harvest Moon, someone brought in dango, enough for everyone to get a stick of three. Another thing I love. It made me want to buy a pack of them for myself. But 150 a stick is a bit... sweet.

Tonight, *shrug emoji*. I'm listening to a lot of classic rock and just relaxing. Maybe I'll go to bed at a decent hour for once, too.

They're good, but they're not the healthiest thing. (Which is why I like them, I guess.)

Congratulations on the weight loss. I know it's not going as quickly as you'd like. It never does. Even at a slow pace like this, stay on track and your weight will be back into the double digit kg by beginning to middle of next year.

The portions today were smaller than last week. It wasn't enough food. I ate dinner early because I was so hungry, and even so, I still ended up picking at the pile of snacks and buying some food at the grocery store.

I went to the grocery store to get a new charger cord for my phone (from the dollar store) and some more flour. I did some math in bed last night: 1kg of flour makes as many portions as 2kg of rice, is 1/3 cheaper, but requires more work than measure and push a button. If I find a discounted bag of rice, wonderful, but I won't keep my hopes up.

Tomorrow is work until 7pm. Yay, school lunch. Tonight, I will draw and drink a few glasses of water.

I think I should have bought coffee, too.

Another day spent at home. Whether it's better than yesterday is still up for debate. I, at least, feel better.

More than once, I wondered if I have a slight cold. The junk food probably didn't help my mood get better, maybe, but in the end, what did it matter. It's sleep that I needed in the end, I think. I slept through most of the day: I'd get up and try to do stuff only to give up and roll back to bed. I didn't care enough to drive to all the Sports Day events, and I don't have the money to go to the Meetup. So I rested.

The only downside to this... state: I haven't been able to draw for four days. Well, that's not exactly true. I worked hard on it the last few days, but nothing came out of it or I lost interest.

Finally made some food for myself in the evening. I almost added the package of kimchi I have from some weeks ago. But in the end, I decided against it.

Tonight, I will draw. I feel like I should go for a walk, if only because I have been inside all day, but I don't feel like it?

Sometimes, we don't feel like doing something (that's good for us), but feel much better after doing it. I often need to give myself a mental "push" to get it done.

I have days where I want to sleep all day too...….but if the idea of accomplishing something makes me want to sleep...I set a timer for a few minutes...and get busy doing that....I can do anything for a few minutes….and then I ill at least feel like I accomplished something that day too.

I do that from time to time, mostly when I have to clean or focus on something. It helps, but if I'm drifting off asleep, there might be something to it.

Seeing many of your daily food lists makes me crave "chinese food" (chinese, japanese, korean, etc). I love most any type of it, but have been trying to avoid rice and pasta lately. While I currently love it, I wonder if I'd get tired of it if I lived somewhere that it was native and the daily norm.

I have no real energy or drive to get anything done today. If I had taken a shower first thing in the morning, maybe the day would have gone different, but I didn't do that. I oscillated between lying down, half-asleep, and watching TV. I did fold my laundry. Still haven't put them away, though. All that's left in the house was rice and the dwindling pile of summer snacks, and I would have been okay with eating just that for the next couple of days. I'm just that tired and stressed.

Just as I finished catching up on TV, the Internet cut off. And I sat for a couple of minutes debating, food or wi-fi. I think I made the wrong choice, but I walked to the store to pay my bill and I got some groceries on the way back. Because October's going to be especially barebones, and having online entertainment might make it more bearable.

I'm going to go back to lying down.

Thank the powers that be for online entertainment. Watching "The Sopranos" (multiple times) saved me $$$ in therapy a few years back. I kid you not.

Sounds like you're in a slump - or getting there. Please be kind and nurturing to yourself. Doesn't have to involve food, but sometimes even a warm washcloth on the face can feel comforting. (((hugs)))

Yeah... I might have crashed today.

I did not weigh myself this morning because I was too tired to remember? I think? I was running late. I managed something for breakfast because I woke up at 4 am and was conscious enough to heat up leftovers before crawling back under the covers.

I kept drifting off behind the wheel, so freaking dangerous. Music helped a lot, but I'm way too tired. I miss my morning can of caffeine.

The only ray of sunshine right now is actually all the drizzle; the Sports Day scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed to Sunday. Yay, I get a day of rest before I have to drive to two towns and four schools in one day just to "show my face".

.... which I'm not doing. I'm staying in bed on Sunday, too. Maybe.

Actually... I was kind of halfheartedly interested in eating sushi tonight. But the chain restaurant near the house closed shop recently. Going to Mos Burger is very rare for me, and it was an impulsive move. I've eaten dinner out a lot this week.

Tonight, I will finish doing the laundry and catch up on a bit of TV. Tomorrow, I will go grocery shopping. Mostly though, I will sleep.

We used to eat at restaurants 4 or 5 nights per week and during the summer when the kids were home we'd supplement that with a few lunches out also. Switching to cooking at home with planned meals has resulted in healthier food intake along with saved time and money. I used to think going to the restaurant was quicker, but I figured in 10-15 minutes drive each way it was actually quicker to cook.

When I'm on-plan I rarely go inside a gas station / convenience store. That is often times my biggest temptation time to grab some simple carb snacks. When on-plan I use the pay-at-the-pump option so I don't set foot inside.
