Good morning

Yesterday I had a great food and water day.

I did get quite a bit done yesterday actually more then what I was expecting to do.  Today is a little bit more of the same without really having a todo list in the works. 

Food today is pork tenderloin in my slow cooker in a can of stewed tomatoes and some vegetables.  If I am still hungry in the evening I will have a salad.

Just finishing up my coffee morning and will run out to do some errands and pick up a few things I need for the cottage.

GREAT foods. I've developed a new appreciation and LOVE for cooked tomatoes. As usual, i prefer them to raw....all veggies i usually prefer cooked...talk more later...

Good morning guys

Yesterday was a good day food and water - after my weekend I was happy to fall back into my routine at least for the next 4 days before the weekend again.

We will now have landline and internet at the cottage that will make it easier for me to keep in touch with everyone.  I did feel the isolation eventhough I do enjoy to unplug in some cases this has all become a little bit more necessary in the long run.  I will not have to come back home to do my banking and also check in on what is going on back home.

It is all about accessibility.

For today still have not quite decided what will be on the schedule but I know I have things that need to be done. 

Food will be veg/omelette at one point probably late brunch and evening salad with some protein now that is not set in stone it is a bases for my intake.

Hi guys

Just got back from breakfast with brother and s-i-l and my friend.  Always a pleasant time with all our crazy stories and new ones from the weekend.

Tired after the weekend I am taking the rest of the day off and having a me day and probably a nap in the pm. 

I have laundry to do and the stuff around the house to clean and just the regular stuff that needs to be done but it will all wait till tomorrow.  My suitcase has to be emptied today hate to see that on the floor in the bedroom and that might just be the only thing I get done today except feeding myself for dinner. 

Tonight I will make myself a ceasor salad probably with some tuna for protein an easy dinner.  I do have to get my vegetable into baggies and frozen in portions before I loose some of them.

i have a funny story doing laundry at my parent's on the weekend yesterday! the first load i had to do 2x...bc i realized that the first time i did it without adding detergent! LOL LOL LOL...i was like...oh....i never remember adding it...and my clothes didn't smell clean from detergent...just not smelly....i knew i had to wash them again! LOL

good idea to freeze them up to keep them ready for cooking...and not spoiled :)

Had a great weekend at the cottage.  The weather was not great but got a lot accomplished.  Next weekend will be a short weekend at the cottage because have a busy week but soon will be spending a week there.  Talk soon.  Will catch up on all posting this week.

glad to hear the cottage 1st weekend back was nice! We are having below avg Spring temps here. Quite chilly. But i do NOT mind as i have allergies and the cold temps keep the pollen from coming out much.

Good morning to all

Yesterday was a great day for my food and water.

I have a few things going on today but mostly today is my packing day for the cottage eventhough we are only leaving tomorrow p.m.  I do not like to leave it all to the last minutes because tomorrow will be the grocery day in the morning.  Life is easier when there is an order in the to-do list.  I certainly have inherited my Mom's gene in that respect. 

I bought myself a new machine for the kitchen yesterday. I have been seeing this on TV about making zucchini look like spaghetti noodles and this machine does several other things that makes vegetable more interesting and new uses.  I tried it last night and it is absolutely wonderful - did the zucchini with spaghetti sauce with a little cheese on top it was really nice instead of using pasta.  This weekend I will use cauliflower grated and use it as rice with seasoning/veg to put under our kebobs.  I enjoy trying new stuff.  

Well that is about it for me as you can see not too much of a stressful day around my house.

Oh cool! You bought the spiralizer / vegetti! i should get one of those too! You are learning all the tricks. I totally want to make cauliflower rice too...i think i may try to find it already grated....i should cook more....such good ideas out there that i could try if i weren't so lazy!

Cooking is fun because you can invent new things to do. Buy grated Cauliflower come on J. While I wait for dinner to cook I usually do my veg for the next day and bag them so that they are all ready just in case I am super hungry the next day then everything is ready to go and I do not start munching on stuff. Just a thought I would pass on to you...

I'm a big fan of to do lists and packing ahead of time. I've seen that machine where you use zucchini like spaghetti. Very healthy.

It is real nice. Last night I dumped it into my pan but tonight I will use my basket and steam it and see how I like it that way. I always like to have option as to what my food looks like and this machine gives you that option. I want to try sweet potatoe next time and use that in the spaghetti or linguini shape and see what that is like.

Good morning guys

Sunday dinner was wonderful and we had so much fun with all my family here.  The kids amaze me they come up with the funniest conversation at the table.  For 7 and 9 year old kids they definitely have their opinions... lol.  The funny thing about it all is that sometimes they make more sense then we do.... lol.

I did well for the past few days and now a new week as started and have a lot to get ready before Thursday since we leave for the cottage.  It will be the clean up weekend since the weather is going to be rain great time to clean up so that we can take advantage once the nice weather starts. 

I have a few errands today and that is about it.   I will find relax time today.

I also am getting used to planning in "relax" modes. Boy do they do a person right! I have to say, especially in terms of dieting, when i'm able to rest more & not run around like a madman, I always have an easier time dieting / eating less calories.

Good morning


Yesterday was a good day for food and water.  I got on the scale this morning thinking I was down and yes I was 1lb less.  Will be fun to break the 200 barrier to the 190s.  It really surprises me because this week has been a busy eating out but at the same time I have been really careful not to pick the tempting things on the menu and I guess it work out to my advantage.  It is really nice to see the scale moving again. 

I need to get out today and to the last errands for my dinner tomorrow night for my family.   I have to pick up the dessert today I always leave that part to the last minute because I could be tempted to have a taste.... lol  self control is something I will probably never overcome.  The advantage to all this is that I get to know my limitations as to what I can and cannot do.  The longer I am on this the better my choice become and the more easily I can resist some temptation.

It look like I am going in the right direction slow but surely I will get there - My initial goal was to loose 84 pounds and then i changed the goal weight so I feel good about it. Your help along the way is greatly appreciated.

Support from others going through the same thing is very helpful. I was stuck back in 2011 when I was trying to be ideal weight for my 60th birthday in 2012. So I joined DD and was at goal within a few months! I was in US size 8 jeans for my 60th.

Good morning

Yesterday was good food and water

I stuck to my guns last night and had the shrimp kabob a little bit of rice and brocolli and a salad perfect dinner did not go off my routine and I was real happy about that.  It is easy when people around you are also watching what they eat.

Today have to do a few things for my company coming over for dinner on Sunday but that is about it.

Expecting a routine day for myself and hope you guys will have a great day.
