Good morning DD pals

Yesterday was not perfect but I still was within my calories - just not a satisfying balanced day.  Water was good.

We are having a cloudy and rainy day.  It will be a stay in day and read a good book.  I have to make my list of groceries and go through the cupboards and see what I need as far as equipment.  I can't believe they have no can opener - I think that is what got me off last night at dinner time could not open my tuna and then had to go to other options.  I had planned my meal and then I could not follow through.

that is pretty funny about them not having a can opener! I guess they don't eat any canned foods!!! LOL :)

Reading good books is a wonderful pastime, doing it myself today :)

The reason is probably because these places rent for 1 or 2 weeks at a time and people on holidays usually do not do too much cooking but I am here for 3 months and I have to do some cooking. Not selfish to pamper yourself it is a necessity to be good to ourselves. Have a great day.

Good morning DD pals

Yesterday food and water on track actually water was 10 glasses.

Today is a definite relax day I am doing absolutely nothing.  I am not even going out.  I might go down stairs but I will not be going out of the building.  I dont feel like being in the car for the next few days and that will work out fine because they are calling for rain here.

I have been hunting for a potatoe leek soup but I do not want to make it with cream or half and half.  I am going to play around with the recipe I found and will let you know how it turns out.  I find that leek is just such a nice taste.  I always enjoy having some homemade soup done.  I got two small roasting chickens will cook in the oven and then use the bones to make the broth.  I feel that once it is cooked in the oven it will make less of fatty broth. I enjoy experimenting one thing for sure I do love my chicken and the roasted chicken will give me several meals. 

I am happy to see a few new DD members come back I sure wish Raven would come back and Biscotti I miss their posts.  Well that is it for me wishing you a great day.

Good morning DD pals

Happy New Year to everyone may your year be filled with happiness, content and health.

Another year starts - if you would have asked me last year in January if I was going to finally decide to loose the weight I had gained during and after my knee injury I would not have been able to say yes or even maybe because I really thought I did not have it in me to do it.  I have certainly surprised myself and I am even more determined this year to finish what I started.

December was a good month for me my weight loss of 11 pds just totally floors me.  My goal for this month would be to maybe and I say maybe because if it does not happen in January it will in February would be to touch the 230something.  I will probably be able to get to my halfway point which is a total of 42 pounds  and that would mean I have made it to the top of the mountain and I am on my way down to the home stretch. 

I do want to acknowledge and wish a Happy New Year to a few of my DD pals Ohio Raven, Biscottibody, Maria that have not posted in the last little while and thank them for their support last year.

Today is another good day the sun is out and will take advantage of the good weather to go out and do some activities. My food yesterday was good and water also.

Good morning all DD members

Yesterday was a real good day but I am having a hard time getting my sleeping routine back on track.  My food was good but way under the calorie intake that I usually take but my water was 10 glasses and that is good. 

Amazing to think that another year is coming to an end - how time goes by so fast.  I am not doing any New Year's resolutions since I have a bad record of not keeping them but I will remain on my healthy eating path. 

Today I should go out and get more stuff that I need for this place - just little things like a mesuring cup, small cutting board and other little things like that.  I will hit the dollar store and I am sure I will find everything I need.  Do not need expensive stuff since I will be leaving it here when I leave and hoping it will still be here next year when I return.

I do want to pick up some fresh seafood  and make myself a wonderful salad today.  I have a craving for seafood and maybe it is just the area I am in.  Will go to the fish market it cannot get any better then that.  

That is about all I have for today - wishing you a great last day of the year and I will talk to you NEXT YEAR. LOL LOL

Good Afternoon my DD pals

My last post was Sunday and that day was a good day for the food and water that much I remember.

Monday 1:00 a.m. I left for my drive I know a real weird hour to leave but after going over to my son I had my supper and got tired around 7 and decided I might has well take advantage of it and go to bed - woke up at 12:00 and decided just to hit the road.  I arrived in Myrtle Beach at 7:30 p.m. approximately I know that the car was all unpacked and in the condo by 8:00. 

When I drive I only take in liquids lots of water which means that every rest area is a stop. LOL but I have found that if I eat I usually feel like having a nap and since I am the only driver that does not workout well LOL. 

Tuesday Today I plan on having some FOOD yes yes yes I am getting hungry now.  I will go out and do some groceries and pick up a few things I need for the next 3 or 4 days my regular routine.  It does not matter where I am the routine is what I do not want to disturb. 

I just wanted to drop in and let you guys know I made it in safely and I am back on my journey. 

Take care I will talk to you guys tomorrow and tell you what new I have found in the grocery store here.

Good morning all

Yesterday was a very good day food and water.

Today was weigh-in time and I manage to maintain my 247 I am very happy with that since the week did have my supper with my family for xmas.  Now that all the events have gone by for me I am back to my routine as in the past two days and feel good about that.

I am leaving tomorrow morning bright and early so this will be my last post for a few days until I set up all my stuff and reconnect to the internet down south. 

I wish you all a great day and will talk to you in a few days.

Good morning everyone

Yesterday was very good food and water.

I was glad to have a day with no commitments or jobs that really had to get done - relax day. 

I had some turkey leftovers and vegetables.  It was a high protein day and that is good - better then a high fat and carb. day.  I had a lot of water 10 glasses.  There must have been a lot of salt in something I ate the day before but I cant figure what it was because I use no salt at all.  I always figure that people can add salt at the table if they want some. 

Tomorrow is weigh-in day and then I will remove the battery and pack it away in the suitcase.  I will be going over to my son's place for a little while just to visit because I will not see them til March when they come down and see me for March break.  Just a last day stuff to do - gas up - clean car windows and load up what I can the night before. 

Today will be a regular day and I feel good about being back in my routine.  I am quite happy to be back to the routine - there is something comforting to the routine and I think it is not having the ups and downs of the mood swings - peaceful.

GREAT idea to save the turkey....I would also. Don't you wish that meat lasted as long as cooked veggies? I wish meat lasted like a week in the fridge, would be so much better & i'd get my protein in so much more easily :)

Good morning DD pals

Yesterday was good but certainly far from perfect.

I indulged in extra turkey, potatoes, veg. and salad but I did not do the pecan pie, meat pie, wine, pop.  It was all good food - I still feel I did well because it could have definitely been far worst.  Today some of the food is still in the house but will shortly be on its way out.  I have 3 more days of being home and decided to keep some turkey because I enjoy it plus it is good lean protein.

The days of having to decide how to plan around these celebrations are over for me - I have no more temptations scheduled for this year.  I got through it and that in itself leave me with a feeling of accomplishment without having to beat myself up. 

Well that will be all for me for today.  I am tired it sure takes a lot out of a person and I still have to restore some parts of the house since the little ones where here and you know they are all over the house.  I dont understand how such little people take so much space and displace so many things. LOL or maybe I just dont remember. LOL

Good morning DD pals

Yesterday was excellent water and food.

Down to the crunch today and of all things I slept in. lol   I will get my stuff done early today and the rest of the day will be a me time and relax once I know I have done everything I could today.  The kids are going over to the in-laws tonight which mean that the grand-kids will be flighing high tomorrow by the time they get to my place or they will be so tired that they will just fall asleep early.  I am sure they will not fall asleep before they get to open their gifts. lol  It is definitely a time for the grand-kids now.

I feel I have lost some weight overnight.  We will be what it is by Sunday.

Good morning all DD members

Yesterday was another good day food and water.  I am so grateful for this period of grace given to me in order to loose this weight.

Wow are we ever close to xmas now.  It is down to the crunch now.  Today I will relax and get ready for tomorrow I will be doing a lot of prep work for my xmas supper tomorrow.  A lot of things I can do ahead of time well at least the day before.  Peel my potatoes, carrots, turnips - set my table.  This allows me a time to breath on the day of the event. 

I had a good feeling this morning again like I loss some weight BUT I do have a big supper coming up this week.  I have to admit my stomach is really shrinking because I get the sense of feeling full so much faster and the feeling of being stuff if I continue with a few more bits because I was thought to finish what is on my plate really makes me feel sick to my stomach.  I now stop and set it aside because the stuffed feeling is really not pleasant.
