Good morning

All is good for yesterday.

I went over to my son for the birthday party only to realize that I had been invited only for the cake part.  They had already had dinner and that was good but since I had really not had much during the day I was surprised that I was not going to be eating anything at all. lol lol  I did not have a big decision to make.  I had a sliver of the cheesecake and that was it.  It was good and around 10:00 pm I came home.  I dont know whether it was a blessing or what.  Certainly no temptation to worry about. 

A new month is starting - I find it easier now then when I first started.  I dont feel that I am missing out on stuff anymore - I have gotten over that first step of feeling punished because I cant have any of the stuff I like.  The fog has lifted. Acceptance is the hardest part.

Good morning all

Yesterday was a little bit off.

I did my weigh-in and lost another pound.  I am definitely going in the right direction.  Total for the month of August is good 12pds.  I am hoping to be in the mid 260 at the end of the month of September.  I know I said I was not going to concentrate on the number but I am simply putting it out there (my wish list).  The first month is always the month that you loose the most I dont expect next month to be as good but any amount of pds down will be good.

Today I go over to my son's place because it is my daughter-in-law's birthday.  It will be a challenge but that is OK I have to learn to deal with these special events because they will not be going away - they are a given for every year.  I dont even know what the memu is for tonight - so will have light everything before I go over just in case.

We are having a rainy day today - good day to get together with people because it would not be a good day to do anything else.

Hello :) Congrats on your weightloss so far, that's just great!

As for today, the best thing for you at the get together it HEALTHY options! Bring a veggie and/or fruit platter with you...and keep your mouth busy with that & sipping on either water (the healthiest), tea, coffee, or (if you like / drink them as they are not the healthiest) diet/sugar free drinks. You can go there, have normal portions of everything, but then if you feel nibbly/thirsty, stick with the veggies / fruits / low cal options for snacking. you can still enjoy the food like everyone else for lunch or dinner and a real alcoholic drink if there are and even dessert (since it's a special occasion) but just try not to make it a whole big snacking day, especially if there are good snacking choices (vegetables, fruits, low cal drinks) available. take advantage of the good food choices!

Hi Guys

All is good here.

My grandson came for a sleepover last night he is 8yrs old.  I had so much fun with him.  I was good eventhough he had all of his numnums around.  Of course he is not on a diet but I am and I managed.  It was not all that back and I did not feel like I needed any of his junky stuff.  What also helped was that his junky stuff are things that I really dont necessarily like.  Great......

Yesterday was a good day for food but water was low.

Not much to report today.  I think it will be a lazy day.  Got a wonderful night of sleep and the house as really cooled down.

I should be doing more today - I certainly have stuff I could be doing but feeling sluggish physically and mentally.

Good morning

Yesterday was great water and food right on track.

The weather has finally cooled down therefore I had a wonderful night of sleep.  My favorite seasons are Spring and Fall - not too hot but sunny and fresh - I find the air smells much cleaner in those seasons.  I am looking forward to seeing the changing of the leaves especially in this area - lots of trees. 

Today I get out of the house - run errands - go to bank - pick up my mail.  Actually be able to cook on stove and not have to worry about warming the house up.  Thank God for microwaves for those day of heat.  I do want to make a large batch of spaghetti sauce and freeze portions. 

Sunday is my Daughter-in-law's birthday and I have to go over for super.  My weigh-in day this week is Sunday instead of Monday because the new month begins on Monday so I thought I would finnish off the month with a weigh-in and have the total lost on a monthly basis.  One day will not make that much more of a difference but I can then compare month to month. 

I am having a pretty peaceful time in my life right now.  I have to admit that I am finding it a little bit more lonesome since my move to this area.  I have been away from here for 18 years and my connections have disappeared and making new social connections are harder to make at this stage of my life.  Anyway could be worst.

Hi Guys

Not a perfect day but good enough.

Good enough is good.  No guilt trip for me today.  It will not help me to go down that road.  I have been there too often before.

Another hot night in bed late and up late today again.  I love Summer BUT I feel like a hermit again - way too humid for my breathing.  Tomorrow will be cooler.

So I did nothing yesterday and that is probably why it was not as good.  You know what they say idle hands lead to mischief and that for me is thinking that I am hungry just to fill the time of the day up.  Would be nice to eat because I am hungry and not just  because there is food in the house.

RYC: You're obviously doing a lot of things right to not be on meds. Whatever issue we're dealing with, it's hard not to let it get the better of us.

Thank goodness for DDs--we all have our "thing" and I'm so glad this outlet is still here for us all!

Hi guys

Yesterday was good food and water.

It was too hot to sleep last night up til about 3 am.  I know I should not complain but hate it when I can't sleep just toss and turn.  I ended up getting up only around 11 am and that is really late for me.  It kind of get my day started way too late.  I am still on my morning coffee and i is 1 pm here. 

My plans for today have changed since the things I was going to do in the morning are not done and it is so hot again today I do not feel like going out into that humid day.  I am just going to vegetate today and try to keep cool.

I have not decided what my meals are going to be yet but not planning on cooking anything on the stove. 

I have done all my bytching (they dont let us write it the right way) for the day now thank you for allowing to vent.  I hope you all have a wonderful day and we will catch up tomorrow.

Good morning guys

Yesterday was OK not perfect but close.  Perfect is hard to do.

I did have a slight lost today and that is very good considering my week.  The main thing is that I am still trying and still have the determination to try and get to where I want to be.  The road to my goal might not be straight but that too is good as long as I stay on the road and not in the ditch too often.

I have to go shopping today for my food for the week and try to make some new dishes that will keep me interested.  I am sure this sound unusual to some people but to a food addict it is quite hard.  I have my trigger foods which always seem to win or they convince me that I "can now handle them" lol lol - Will I ever learn not to go there.

Good monring

All is good water and food.

Tomorrow is weigh-in time.  It will be interesting to see if my days of being off track will affect the results.  There I go again in the results.  I should be glad that I am back on track.  So funny how we put soo much importance on that damn number on the scale.  I am going to put that out of my mind.  Tomorrow is just another day and as long as I am on track everything is good - loose or not.

I have got to find other things to eat.  My menus have got to change a bit if this is going to work and keep me interested.  There are soo many things that I dont trust myself being around like cheese, bread, cereal etc etc if I bring them into the house I just polish them off in one siting.  I know its crazy but that is just how it is.  Would be nice if you could just buy them by one ounce or two or one slice or two or one bowl of cereal at a time lol lol.  It just goes to show how much of an addict I am  to food and how little control I have over my eating. 

Well so much about that - one day at a time.  Hope you all have a great week.

Good luck on your weigh in. I totally agree that we focus so much on the number and not the process and lifestyle change. I know I tend to lose site of the journey when I focus too much on how much I should weigh at the end. You can do it! :)

I am back on track - thank God for that.

Today will be a regular day just some housework and some me me me stuff.  Long soak in the tub - nails etc etc.

It is a great day to do things inside - very muggy a little bit of sun and clouds - not necessarily a great day.  Fall is just around the corner you can smell it in the air.

I was reading your entry where you talked about disrupting your routine :) Me too...I have this problem as well. For one, my weekday routine is much more structured than weekends. so many times, if I don't have a plan on a weekend, my eating goes to hell and a handbasket lol. but, I am learning to have healthy things on hand always and that saved me....completely saved me...today ;)yes, I indulged, but it was more reasonable than what I've done in the past.

also in terms of structure & routine, I have a weights/abs routine that I love doing. When I have to actually miss one of the 3 days I do it during the week, it upsets me more than you could believe. after all, I am single with no kids or man in my life, you'd think I could find time 3 days each week for it, right?! so yeah, it upsets me since I also make it such a priority to do :) and when I can't it's like, now all my efforts have gone down the tube!
