Good morning

All is good water only 8 glasses and food is good also.  Will try to up my water today.  Yesterday was a little bit of an off day because of all the work.

Well it is all done and really fantastic - not quite sure what I will do with the spare cupboards but it sure finishes the look of it all.

I am planning absolutely nothing for today just playing with my kitchen - moving things here and there and cleaning a few shelves that I move from one cupboard to another.  No major decisions have to be taken today.  I am putting my brain on a shelf and give it a break.  My body is a little in need of a break also.  I am really suprised that my knee is not acting up more than it is I guess it is definitely getting better especially after the up and down on the step ladder yesterday I am impressed but I will certainly not take advantage of it.  I remember the pain and the uselessness I felt when I could not do anything. 

Well that is about all I have to say for today.  I hope you all have a wonderful wednesday.

Raven I wanted to give you an update on my brother-in-law. He has now finished his chemo and the tumors in his lungs are totally gone. Miracle but we still have the brain tumors but they are smaller and seem to be maintaining themselves at that size. He does not return to his dr. for two months and they will reassess the situation at that time. It still does not mean he is cured it just mean the has bought himself a few extra months. Thank you for your prayers I am sure they have helped.

Good morning all

All is good water and food in check. 

No time to talk today - it is cupboard day.  The guy will be over soon and I have to go.  I will add later to my posting.

* It looks really good.  Almost feel like keeping the place for another year or so.  LOL LOL  No it is time for me to get closer to the kids.  It was a job but actually they all went up really easily - as long as we could find a 2x4 to hit all was good.  It is 4:00 pm and I am just starting to drink my water and I have not had time to eat anything yet.  Food was not on my mind.  I now have to decided what I could possibly make that will not take too long.  I will be in bed real early tonight and I am sure it will not be hard to fall asleep. LOL  I will talk to you guys tomorrow - have a good evening.

Good morning all

Same old thing water good and food on tract.

Weigh-in  249.8 - finally broke into the 240s.  I know it is only .2 of a lb but I will take anything I can get.  This month has been hard.  I made it through.  Will have my end of month weigh-in and that is just for my records so that I can measure a month to month progress.  So my official weigh-in for next week will be on Sunday instead of on Monday.  Just for this time.

Worked so hard yesterday cleaning that fine dust.  I am really feeling it in my knee.  Today is another busy day because the cupboards are going up tomorrow.  I have to empty out the kitchen stuff and pull out the stove.  I also have to do a little bit of cleaning in there.  Putting the cupboards will not be as messy as the bathroom work was.  Anyway so much for housework.

I really want to do better in the next month and I will - I certainly hope that I am not at a plateau and I know how difficult those can be to get away from.  Will change my eating a little bit this week.  I start my Week 11 and it is a maintenance week.

Each goal met is great. Doesn't happen overnight. You're doing great, keep it up!

My hubby totally gutted our kitchen 3 years ago and put it an all new one. We had a mess for 5 long weeks, but was worth it!

Actually the main cupboard where up just missing a few of the special ones that I was able to put off for a year and now is the time to finish it up. Thank you for the encouragement.

Congrats on the loss - any loss is worth celebrating! And that's wonderful you are getting new cupboards. I would love new ones but it's not going to be in the budget for a very long time.

Any loss is worth celebration! Definitely don't diminish this accomplishment. Just keep setting mini goals for yourself, for me I've been doing 2lb mini goals a week... it's just something to feel good about to push you on to the next achievement.

Hey, when "the same old thing" is success - that's great! I didn't realize, but it sounds like you are doing a major renovation on you place. Is that all from the leak? Yikes!

No the bathroom was the leak from the condo upstairs and the kitchen was planned because I am putting my condo up for sale in about two months. Just thought I might has well had the remaining 3 cupboards that I wanted to add before I put it up for sale. You know that bathrooms and kitchen sell the house. I will get my money out of it. Housing here has gone up substantially. Moving closer to the kids. I am now 8 hrs away from them so getting closer is a good thing since I am getting older and the kids are growing up too fast.

Good Sunday Morning

All is good water on track and food on track.

I will be soo happy once all my cleaning is done from these repairs.  I cannot believe how much dust travels.  My legs are just driving me crazy (in pain).  It must be done.  I have till next Tuesday to get it done because the guy comes back and we start working on the kitchen cabinets.  Another mess for another week. LOL  

Enough complaining - thank you for letting me vent. 

I am quite happy with my food.  It might just have something to do with the work I am doing.  Working more eating less LOL LOL .  Keeping busy always seems to help in that respect.  

Tomorrow is weigh-in day -  I am hoping that I will touch the 240ish something.   That would be really nice but if not that is ok also.  I have 1/3 of the way done not the time to get discouraged.  Things are working out all right.

Good morning all

All is good water 9 glasses and food on track.

I made up a new recipe yesterday.  Of course it has cabbage because I just love cabbage.

2 cups of cooked rice (cooked rice with curry powder - 1tsp and  1 echalotte-onions) (340 cal - 0 fats - 72 carbs)

3 cups of shredded cabbage pre-steamed nice and tender (120 cal - 0 fats - 12 carbs)

2 chicken breast no skin all lean  broiled ( 220 cal - 4 fats - 0 carbs) Sliced it for my stir fry

Put all ingredients into a pan with 1/4 cup of broth and let simmer for a little while with lid - really just to warm it all up.

This is good for two meal - 680 cal divided by two 340 per meal and only 2 fats and 42 crbs per meal.  Really filling and it leave a lot of cal left for other meals in the day. 

Anyway thought I would share for those who love curry and cabbage.

Having a good day.  I have to finish clean the mess today of the repair - slowly getting it back together.  Spring cleaning.  Having another bright sunny day and it will be 2 today which is about  low 30s.  Great improvement.

The receipe sounds good. I do love cabbage, too. I have been getting a coarse slaw mix to make salad, but I have been thinking about cooking it with some spices and things and eating it warm, that way. Lots of ideas now.

Good morning all

I am finally up.  It is 11:00 am here.  I slept in.  Amazing.

My water is really on track 12 glasses and food is also on track.  Sound like a promising week.

Did too much yesterday.  I hate it when I keep everything to be done and then I decide today is the day - then there is no stopping me.  The result of a day like that is usually two days down after lol lol. 

Just starting on my coffee late in the day.  Breakfast will be at about 2:PM  so I guess will skip Lunch and go directly to dinner after that early evening.  Well what can I say day started off weird will end up weird. LOL  

We are having a nice sunny day and I think it is a little bit milder because the people I see out there don't seem to be all bundled up in their parkas and look quite happy to take their time.    I do need to go out and do some errands but I will put it off to tomorrow I have enough stuff to get me through to tomorrow.

Good morning all

I had 14 glasses of water yesterday.  I must have eaten something that was extremely salty but this is very unusual for me to want to drink so much - especially if I have not been golfing and looking forward to the 19th hole.  LOL.  My food is good and am on track.

It is nice to see we are getting some new members.  All I have to say about that is the more we are the more advice and ideas we get.   Before blogging I read all the entries and fround Raven's welcome to "soitgoes" soo right on mark.  It is exactly how I felt after I joined this group.  

I can't believe we are still getting snow today.  Man I have just about had it.  Tomorrow I have to get out to go to the grocery store.  I have been managing but today is the last day of surviving with what I have in the house. 

I have had the sniffles for the past few days and have not really felt like overeating.  The guys that was fixing my bathroom hurt his back with the darn snow cleaning at his house and as called off the repair for this week.  My house will be a mess for another week. 

On the positive side of all my stories - I am happy to be here with all of you.  Like Joyce Meyers says I am not where I want to be  but thank God I am not where I was a few months ago and for that I am grateful today.

Definitely hydrated. At one point my stomach sounded like a barrel of water. LOL It must have been the cold cuts that were so salty. I usually do not use salt except what is already in the food. Today will be not as much water I am sure.

Yesterday was a good day.  All is good.

I got up early because I wanted to watch the inauguration mass of Pope Francis.  He is such a simple man. 

Today we are getting 20cm of snow which is about 8 inches.  When is it going to stop.  Maybe this will be our last storm.  I certainly hope so.  We have mountains of snow in our parking lot from the clean of the lot.

Needless to say it will be another stay in day.  I do have to go out and get some food soon because I am getting low on everything.  We all know when things get low and the options are narrowed we start thinking what can I invent  and sometimes - well at least for me - that is not always healthy stuff all the time.

Well that is about all that is new in this part of the world.  I wish you all a good day.

Good morning

A wonderful day down 1.8 lbs.  Water good  and food on track.

My hope was to have lost something after the week that started off so bad.  I am quite proud about getting back on track.  This is not easy. 

My next challenge is to hit the 240s.  It is nice when we leave a number behind. 

Thank you for all your help.  I am starting week 10 of my journey and would not want to take this journey with anybody else then you guys.  You are all wonderful.
