(Meal Replacement, Cleansing, Nutrition, Excerise)
Weight: 279.0

So.......second day.......so far so good.  With the program I'm on, I replace breakfast and lunch with a shake and then eat dinner.  I do well with the shakes since I'm a teacher and I'm very busy in the mornings.  I don't have time to think about eating.  Last night, I ate some pasta with meat and mushroom sauce, salad with ff/dressing and some pineapple slices in their own juice.  My husband made me a drink later in the evening, but I just sipped and didn't finish much of it at all.  I'm going to only weigh once a week.  I always do well the first few days back........later will be the test, but I don't feel hungry at all and the nutrition is much better.  I have more energy.

**For those who remember me, I got a teaching job finally and we moved to Texas.  I'm very happy and when I'm happy I usually do better on a diet as well.

Have a wonderful day!!

Progress as of today: 9 lbs lost so far, only 129 lbs to go!

SkinnyFatGirl on 01/06/2009:
looks like your program seems to be working.

I think you will see faster results.. if you eat a real breakfast and have the shakes for lunch and dinner.

skinnyjeans on 01/06/2009:
Great! So far, so good!!!!

see_maw on 01/06/2009:
Where in TX are you? Sounds like a good plan - the shakes sound so convenient!

Okay.....here I am again.  I am going to give losing weight another try.  I'm motivated more than ever this time, so I'm hoping that will help!  I remember getting lots of encouragement here, so I'm back!!

Starting Stats:

Waist: 46   Hips: 56   Thighs: 31    Arms: 17     UGGGHHH!!!!!

This is sooooooooo depressing!  But, at least I'm going to do something about it this time!  So, hello to those I knew from before and I look forward to meeting more!

Hey! It's been forever, but I'm back AGAIN! So much has happened. I got a teaching job and we are moving. Very exciting times but also very hetic. I've shaved off slowly about ten pounds since I last was here. I'm not working any specific plan but when I'm busy I tend to eat less. Anyway, I just wanted to say "hi". I'm off to comment. It's nice to be back!

Progress as of today: 13 lbs lost so far, only 125 lbs to go!

(Getting it done!!!)
Weight: 288.0

Hello everyone. I know it has been a long long time, but I want to give this another try. So, much is happening with my life......still job hunting and that is adding much stress, but the rest is going very well. I plan to eat the way I know I should and exercise. My husband has vowed to do it with me, so that will be new and helpful. I don't have a lot of time right now, but promise to write more and add comments tomorrow.

timeforachange on 01/03/2008:
Welcome back! I'm glad to hear your husband is offering his support and is right beside you in your endeavor. That always makes things a whole lot better and makes success all the more satisfying! Have a great day!

workingit2 on 01/03/2008:
Welcome back! I wish you luck on your job search and wish you and your husband the best with the weight loss! Just think, this time next year you can be at least 52lbs lighter! Have a great day =)

dearerdiarist on 01/03/2008:
Hello and nice to meet you! I am newly returned myself (since Dec 27). I have been feeling so happy and confident and motivated since then. What a blast of power you have there with Hubby promising to get on board with you! Sounds like a good guy. Be kind to yourself as you ease your way back in because job hunting is soooooooooooooooo stressful. Hope to see you back here tomorrow. Have a wonderful day.

(How to survive.......one meal at a time.)
Weight: 0.0

Hey! I know.....I know....long time no see. My life has been such an up and down ride since last I posted. I had a job with a private school. They hired me full time to work as an assistant to the Development Director. I was doing ads and fundraising. It was a blast. Then, the school had some turn over and financial difficulties. They closed their doors and re-opened but did not take all of us with them. So, I've been subbing in the local school districts and trying all sorts of odd temp jobs. It's been survival mode and I've not been hadling it very well. I've not gained any more since Feb.....well I've been up and down. I don't know my exact weight at this moment, but I know I was at the doctor's last month and she said I was down from my last visit. I'll weight tonight and post again tomorrow. I just wanted to write this today while I had time. The teacher I'm subbing for today has a long mid day break. I look forward to reaquainting myself with you all and meeting some of the new people who have joined since my departure. I hope everyone is reaching their personal goals. I guess it's time for me to give some serious thought as to mime. See ya, later!

hollybelle on 10/25/2007:
Welcome back! Sorry about the ups and downs. Hope you are on an UP trend on job soon and an DOWN trend on the scales! Come back soon.

Horn_Of_Plenty on 10/26/2007:
oh, i can totally understand your job situation and how you feel. I am a teaching assistant this year and its for reading, which is not where I'm certified. I teach with a really fun teacher, thankfully. However, I have also gained since the beginning of the year!

Horn_Of_Plenty on 10/26/2007:
lol, i meant to say i have gained. congrats to you for not gaining.

Sorry, I've been gone a few days. I've been so sick!! I haven't had a cold in years and this was a doozie! Anyway, I weighed this morning and I've not lost, but also I've not gained, so that is a blessing. I've had some good days of nothing but chicken soup and jello (sugar free of course!) I'm just trying to take it one meal at a time. I love my new job. I have very supportive bosses. So far they are very happy with my work and intend on hiring me permanately. Everything else is great. My son has opening night for his school play and my other son made it onto a good baseball team, so homelife is fine. I'm just having to remember how I used to keep up with the housework and work at the same time. My husband is great about pitching in, but mostely he's great about not making a big deal if the house is messy. My mom and dad are visiting this weekend however and I want the house looking good. So, the next few nights are POWER CLEANING! I'm off to comment. I've missed reading your entries. They really do inspire me. Have a great rest of the week!!!! *smiles*

Progress as of today: 0 lbs lost so far, only 126 lbs to go!

sharklover on 02/28/2007:
sorry to hear you've been sick, but I'm glad you're getting better! yay!

Sounds like life is going pretty well right now which is awesome.

You'll get a good workout from that power cleaning! Its like two birds with one stone. :-)

I love your positive attitude, it makes me so much more positive after reading your blog. :-)

weightlossyoyo on 02/28/2007:
Congrats on the new job! Hope you feel better soon!

hollybelle on 02/28/2007:
I hadn't had a cold in 10 years either - 'til this year. Began the month of February with a BAD one. Missed 4 days of work! Welcome back. What play is your son doing? How old is he? My daughter is a dancer and involved in School for Performing Arts and Community Theatre here. She loves it and there are such nice people for her associate with it seems.

It's almost bedtime. I wanted to log on and comment some.

I ended up having two pieces of pizza for dinner.......I fell asleep and didn't have time to cook before I left.....so left over pizza that I had turned down last night. At the meeting there were no desserts, but I did have two miniature dark chocolate pieces. I'm not eating anymore tonight. I'm packing my lunch for tomorrow. I'm off to comment. GOOD NIGHT!!! *smiles*

Okay, I'm home from work. I ate the nutra grain bar for a snack at 4pm

I'm going to make some hot and sour soup for dinner before my meeting. I make it with vegetable broth and lite tofu.....it is low fat, low calories, but not low taste. It satisfies me.

At my meeting there is always dessert, but lately the hostess has been also bringing fruit or something for those of us dieting....excuse me.....lifestyle changing...*smiles*

I think this is working......breaking down the day.......less to think about....I just say....I can make it til the next post......I hope everyone else had a great day. I need to go cook, so I can't comment now, but I'll try to get back before bed.

Mid day

I had a cup of coffee with sugar free creamer when I got to work.

Lunch: Left over chicken fried rice (about 1 1/2 cups) 1/2 fresh pear

I brought a Nutragrain blueberry bar for later if I get hungry.

I've had 16 oz of water so far.

I'm just trying to make it until after work.......that is the tough time. I have a meeting tonight, so if I can just keep busy until I go....*smiles*

Welcome back. Missed you! I hear you - I understand about the self- sabatage. Why do we do it? That is THE KEY question. Once you know that you will unlock the door. The answer is HARD sometimes and hardly ever one-dimensional. What helps??? FOR ME - I have found that I MUST "stay in the moment". What I mean by that is staying conscience of what I am doing in relation to food. What am I putting in my mouth - why am I putting it in my mouth. Staying in touch with my hunger. When hungry making healthy food choices (and I don't mean carrots and lettuce and celery)- I mean healthy food I actually enjoy. When not hungry - not eating - AND knowing the difference between hungry and not hungry. That may sound odd - to not know when you are hungry or not - but many of us much re-learn how to tell.

I am glad you are back and it's great to see your positive comments, but let us have the not so positive, too. We can all be in this together. We don't have to be alone! Wishing you a blessed day.

Hi, i know it is easier said than done but if you do'nt want to keep going round in a vicious circle, you know what you have to do.I know where you are coming from, because i have been in this situation many ,many times and i have come to realise that i can't keep putting myself through this time and time again, because it just wears you down does'nt it.Just focus on them goals in your head all the time, especially when you are reaching for the 'goodies'.Plan your meals ahead and stick to it,you will do it.If i can do it anyone can,Julie
