Oh......I am soo good, then I am soo bad. Well, I have been so busy, my food logging is flawless, but I never add it up, or diary until a few days later- which is completely ineffective, except for tracking weight gain I suppose. So I need to make a commitment to myself to add it up before I go to bed. This also may involve no cocktails before bed. Does anyone else think that wine calories are less resilient than food calories. That is my theory thus far, and I am putting it to the test, starting tonight! Lovely ladies! Soo many of you are sooo inspiring. Thank you for being here!

Hey lady...thanks for the nice comments! I agree...alcohol cals don't take the same way as food cals. I feel like how can my body absorb all the cals from my drink if it goes through me so quickly? LOL

OK - I hate to bring this up, but alcohol calories are about the same as sugar calories. But if you work them in to the overall total - I think it all works out OK. Also - I only have success when I count, count, count (that is just me, though) and lately I don't don't don't! Thanks for reminding me that I must, must, must! Happy Turkey Day!

So, my parents came in town and I've been bad, but I am back on track, and they are gone. Weighed in yesterday, up 1/2 a pound. Not too bad considering how bad I have been.

Yay! weighed in today down about 1 lb.  Must keep working on it. Must keep working out.

So far today I have had some yummy gouda cheese and triscuits. 400 cals, went for a jog/walk burned 341 cals. As long as I can make it though work tonight, I will be good.

I am doing much better than before I was accounting for my reckless consumption. I imagine that my cals were 4000+ daily before I started counting. Much of it healthy too, Just too much. I need to remember food is only fuel, I do not need it unlesss I am hungry. Thanks for all of your comments.

You sound just like me, teeny. I need to keep reminding myself the same thing - that food is only fuel for the many other activities that we should be able to enjoy more if we were healthier and lighter. I like to think of food as pleasure, too, in moderation.

I love Northern Virginia in the fall! The colors are absolutely wonderful! I used to drive from Vienna (our home) to Herndon (office) every day, and the fall colors never failed to impress me. The fall leaves here are pretty but not as beautiful as in DC area!

Hey, BTW, you need to go to MY DIARY, with the picture of the pen, in order to make a new entry... it's a bit confusing, huh?

Sat Had lots of fun, Hockey game was great, but i could have skipped the beer and peanuts, I did get to the gym for a quick 200 cal before I went out Total cal=2048

Sunday i cooked for 6 hours, tried some new recipes butternut squash lasagna with raisins and pine nuts=yummy, had some wine and chocolate for dessert. no gym:( Total cal 1300.

Monday. So far so good B=100c...

Will have to do some extra planning tonight, and bring breakfast/lunch/dinner/ to stay away from all the bad for me things at the restaurant. I am opening and closing tomorrow, so I will be there for 16 hours. Much temptation time.

Friday is here! weighed in today, down 4 lbs. Gym burned 400c. B=tea L=130 D=781. Yippee I didn't eat everything I saw today. total 911 cal

Today is my day off yippee. I wish the weather was nicer, but I will get to the gym. So far I am doing well today. B=green tea, L= 1/2 grilled tuna sandwich and sauteed spinach-no fries. c=250 Snack apple & tbsp peanut butter c=190 Dinner 2oz wheat pasta +shrimp=440 Snack=280 chocolate goldfish Total cal1340, yay.

So here I am with my Tues totals. I feel like I did great, but lets see what happens when I add it up. B/L = black beans, ff cheese, 2% cheese, onion, tortilla, s.cream, salsa= 488 c. MMMMMM I ate it really slowly while I watched my husband eat his, that i had made with like 2000 more cals ad 20g more fat. (He is all muscle, thin, and very active, not to mention totally hot) Gym -500c D=242 tuna, lettuce, spinach,apple, soup (eew yucky canned campbells light soup- I would rather eat my own dry skin in H2O, it's no good) wine +1100. Total 1849. But at least no one asked if I was pregant. Just one guy commented"...back when you had a cute behind..." So I say breathe in, breathe out, and keep on going...Wed = no good total 3511c

Hi Teeny - thanks for the explanation :), I agree, it must be very hard to avoid temptations with your work. You are doing very well, though. Keep it up! So sorry you have to put up with rude remarks from guys... hang in there, and show them you can get your shape back!

i LOVE greek yogurt because it is VERY satisfying. if you buy a big tub, you can take just a little and use it like sour cream or even cream cheese (although the greek yogurt is a bit thinner). it's pretty thick for yogurt but NOT as sweet. which i like. it has less sugar and more protein. you can put it in smoothies, although i haven't. you can eat it w. jello or fruit. sometimes i put cinnnamon in. there are countless ideas. it has less flavor though and may be bland to you...but they sell ones that are flavored also.

So Sunday was no good either...B: yummy P.F.Changs shrimp dumpring, 1/2 sea bass 1/2 veggies=665c L: tofu unintentionally fried, but soo good= 385 Snack:nerds 75c D: Changs leftovers dumps, sea bass veggies, rice= 663c Drinks=900ish No gym:( total=2731c. So when are they going to make calorie free wine? Okay today is a new day of a new week almost a new month. going to start a new me. No wine today. I am going to the grocery store to get some good healthy food. I will get thin.

OMG It seems the harder I try, the worse it gets. I was doing great until some dude asked me if i was pregnant! Again! Then i just lost it. My 1200c day went to 2500 in no time. I am not an angry person, I swear, but honestly if you put on a few pounds, who asks if you are pregnant? Totally wrong!

Hey punkin...I had fun at changs yesterday!! Let me know if you find some calorie free wine at the store...I tried the new 64 calorie MGD beers, but they taste like water.

Hi Teeny! You can do it. I was exactly your weight when I started here in DD and some people told me that I could do it. Deep inside me, I did not believe it, but I thought I'd give it a try because I felt I had no choice. Anyway, the rest is history, and sometimes I can't believe how far I've come. However, I still have a lot more to go and I am really excited about giving it a good try.

My weakness is also red wine - living in Europe doesn't make things easier because even some excellent Bordaux wine is CHEAP! In a restauran, the price of the water is the same as the wine - so, of course, I end up drinking wine... Having said that, what I try to do is to limit consumption to 2 glasses and try not to open a bottle too often. My husband and I used to open a bottle almost daily for every dinner, but I had to change that practice for obvious reasons. Although it's not easy, it's worth the effort - it's all a matter of what is most important to you. In my case, though, I had no choice. My doctor told me I should limit consumption if I wanted to be healthy... Best wishes to you...

What's the matter with people who asks weather or not one is pregnant? How awlful? I'd be really annoyed, too.... I agree it's totally wrong!

Wouldn't it be easier if food did not taste so darn good. I have learned with being on this site for several years to not beat myself up for a bad day but make the next day a good day. Soon you may see more good then bad. The one thing about this site is not matter how long it takes to lose weight everyone on this site just supports you and if you need a good kick in the butt they will help with that as well!!! :-)
