Hi all,

Not the best of weekends. Didn't really track my food but did go off plan . Had meals out - one that I had little control over & had to eat at least a decent amount - or at least that was my choice. And then there was the wine... And then not much in the way of exercise.

Tomorrow will be a good day.

Good Morning-

Progress, I slept until 6 today!

Yesterday was interesting. I had a homebaked muffin while I was at a meeting. Actually thought long & hard about it and decided that yes, I do want it and in the end it was very good. But the interesting thing is that I did have those awful cravings during the day- you know the ones where you're looking for something but in my case it doesn't exist in the house thank goodness so I settled on a pear. Just a reminder to me to stay away from food with flour & sugar.

Yesterday- B- fruit smoothie - almond milk, about a cup of fruit-frozen and 1/2 banana, about a T of yogurt, and T of flax seeds. L- turkey, lowfat cheese D- chicken, sweet potato Snacks- muffin, cashews, glass of wine, T of peanuttbutter, 2 small cookies, pear Around 1400 -1500 calories

Exercise- Zumba Todays challenges- going out forbreakfast with friends - going to have my breakfast smoothie at home with just a little fruit and then have fruit &cup of coffee at breakfast

Need to incease my water

I think you are right about the sugar. After almost 3 months without any sugar, I had those meringues, and it seriously made me crave more sugar, and food in general. No more sugar for me! Have a good day!

I was telling Puddles, studies show that sugar is more addictive than cocaine! So yes stay away from processed sugar and flour! They're evil! Eating unprocessed has shown me how processed everything is!!

good Morning-

Up at a ridiculous time. It is pretty normal for me though. Last night the stormy weather kept me awake also so will be a bit sleep deprived today.

Food yesterday- B- fruit smoothie L- turkey , low fat cheese, tomato D- chicken, butternut squash, broccoli Snacks- 3 pieces of chocolate, some almonds, banana, grapes, yogurt, glass of wine I've been tracking my calories on Lose It and am around 1200-1300 calories & the majority of them are in my snacks. Not sure if that is a good idea.

Exercise- not really but did the five Tibetans exercises- the first one is spinning around !! then a few floor exercises-more like stretching or yoga like exercises. Found them in a book so decided to give hem a try on a daily basis

Scale is moving but not as fast as I would like. However, I am eating healthy, don't miss the bread, and don't have any cravings for junk food & the sense of having my eating in control is worth a lot to me. I know I could lose faster with fewer carbs but know that a very lowcarb diet doesn't agree with me.

It looks like you're doing amazing! Great food choices... and I wouldn't worry about the snacks so much... they're healthy snacks... and the almonds (which were probably the highest) are giving you much needed healthy fat! Keep up the great work!

A decent day. B- fruit smoothie L- cr of mushroom soup& salad D- small serving rice, chicken curry Snacks- 3 pieces of chocolate, glass of wine, Cashews

Exercise- 45 min walk

Lunch was out at a restaurant so not sure how healthy it was. Menu said 150 calories on the salad but it tasted like a lot more.

Good morning,

Yesterday was a decent day . B - fruit smoothie L- turkey , cheese D- chicken w some pasta & salad S- pear, string cheese, biscotti

Exercise- weights & abs class at gym

I must not know how to interpret a menu because I thought I was getting a piece of roast chiken with pasta on the side but instead it was a dish with pasta with a sauce & pieces of chicken mixed in. I did the best I could picking out the chicken & had a small portion of pasta. It was tasty though . Next time I'll ask questions.

By the way, you're all invited to my party. It will be in 3 lbs so stay tuned. Dress will be casual but wear a party hat!

Today's challenges: I am baking blond brownies to bring to an event. I can't even have a taste ! I am not a person who can have just one brownie or cookie so no tastings allowed. ( I would buy a dessert but it's a bake sale...)

Dinner out again so need to be better at ordering.

Good morning,

Did well yesterday until mid afternoon & then I was starving! Yesterday- B- fruit smoothie, L- turkey, string cheese. D - steak, eng muffin, green beans Snacks- 2 pieces chocolate, small bag of smart food popcorn, too many almonds ! , 1 1/2 bananas, T peanut butter

Exercise- Zumba

Today - going for vegetables instead of nuts

The good news is that the scale was down 2 lbs so now I'm where I was before vacation.

Challenges today: 1. Eat more vegetables 2. Plan my meal at restaurant for dinner.

I love nuts but it's bad for my psirosis so is milk. Huhuhu... I did zumba on tuesday burned 700+ cals. I love the fact that it's fun and won't give you sore the next day and the best part ir burns a lot of calories! :)

So getting back into the swing of things but not there 100% . Did drop one of the vacation pounds so that's positive. Yesterday- B - fruit smoothie w/ almond milk, L- chili, D- swordfish, 1/2 baked potato, salad. Snack- almonds, chocolate Need to watch my portions when it comes to snacking!

Exercise- not good in this area- too many meetings and volunteer work! But definitely going to the gym today!

Have been maintaining & watching my carbs. it will be harder on my trip but now that I've been over three weeks without bread I think I can continue. Last night I went out for dinner and my friend had bread & I didn't have a problem leaving it alone. I'm looking forward to finding out what fruits are popular in South Africa. Will try to log in while I'm away.
