Good Morning,

yesterday went fairly well. Breakfast- oatmeal, Lunch- salad, Dinner, beef, rice, veg, snacks, apple, nuts, wine, - on the minus side- three cookies. exercise- 30 min on the treadmill

So- one day at a time, right? Today's activity looks like some shoveling!

I hope you're hanging in there with the weather. I love snow--enjoy some for me! Though the Winter is young, we usually get just enough other stuff so that it's just messy or dangerous.

Hi- Happy New Year to everyone. Funny thing about being in a new year, as if there is some miracle happening - that I'll be a new person and that all old habits will disappear and I will now be able to lose the weight that I've been carrying for years. Oh, do I sound cynical? Maybe..,

However,I have to remain positive. No reason to wonder why I ate all of that chocolate and heavy carb food for the last couple of weeks and undid all that I had lost. I have to focus on today and begin again.

So today I will start counting calories while focusing on eating healthy and trying to eat lower carbs. Exercise - I'll continue to go to my exercise classes- Zumba and weights and add 1-2 treadmill sessions each week, so 4-5 days of exercise.

I'll try to log food here most days.

My goal- lose 15 lbs in four months.

Question- to continue with WW ? Not sure about that piece.

Thinking that having a weight loss buddy who has a similar amount to lose might help. Not sure where to go with that.

Hi-

My husband perfected his ginger cookie recipe. I have had four and they were all excellent. Oh, and 2 candy kisses to top it off. other than that I've followed my plan. :(

I'll do the best I can but let me just say that I will get back on track after Christmas. Until then a few sweets.

Is it possible that the tilapia that I'll have for dinner will cancel out the calories from the cookies? I'll let you know.

I did go to the gym for my hour weights & abs class. It's a work out! ( Was that the equivalent of a couple of cookies?)

Raining here all day but it doesn't seem to have effected the number of shoppers. It must have been a good retail season as the only tape I could buy was a store brand.

Listening to Christmas music and having a cup of tea.

Hi- Saturday & first day of winter! And around 50 degrees. Beautiful! Breakfast toast , egg. snack- apple with peanut butter, lunch salad with turkey, out for dinner a house party- Italian food, had soup, slices of parma ham, olives, vegetables,a few crackers, also today some nuts, glass of wine, and may have a second glass of wine

Hope you all are having a wonderful day.

Down a few ounces so a total of 2lbs this week.

Hi I used to love Fridays when I was working & maybe had plans for the weekend. Now weekends aren't much different from weekdays. Another beautiful day. Breakfast- 1 egg & toast, apple with peanut butter, salad for lunch with turkey & lowfat balsamic dressing, yogurt. dinner will be salmon with a vegetable , glass of wine.

Exercise- a 1 hour weights & abs class at the gym, + housework .

Down a few ounces this morning.

Hi all-

A lovely day here. Breakfast- 2 scrambled eggs with a sprinkling of cheese, lunch was a Christmas party buffet so included ham, a T of 3 potato /pasta items, salad, and 3-4 bites of dessert, plus one glass of wine.Dinner will be veg burger and salad.

Exercise- 20 min on treadmill

another 1/2 lb loss

Hi Day 2 of trying to eat low carb. Breakfast 2 scramb eggs, Lunch greens with chicken & lowfat balsamic dressing, treat of skinny peppermint latte , handfull of nuts, 1 clementine,. Dinner- chicken with vegetables , glass of wine

Exercie- shoveling snow

Wt loss- 1/2 lb. It's a start!

HI ALL- I Know- I've been absent for a very long time!! I see some of my DD friends on Facebook from time to time so haven't felt completely out of touch.

I'm back because this is one place that kept me real and where I did have some success. Since I left I haven't been as good about watching my diet and the last few months have not been good. Not quite back to where I started but heading in that direction so trying to catch myself before I give up completely.

My exercise is decent given that there is snow on the ground so no outdoor walking recently. But have been going to the gym 2-3 times a week for classes and then another day with treadmill time.

So today trying to stay with a low carb day. Breakfast- 2 eggs & coffee, lunch salad with chicken & lo fat balsamic dressing. Dinner will be tilapia & spinach. I'll have an apple with some peanut butter mid afternoon.

Looking forward to catching up with old DD friends and meeting new ones here.

Hi-

A good day yesterday despite arriving at my gym to find that they changed the time of my zumba class! Oh well. used some equipment . lots of yard work also

Food- vtamuffin, orange, salad, pistachios , chicken rice,beets,  frozen fruit bar, glass of wine

Today- vitamuffin, salad, fruit bar, dinner out tonight.

No exercise today- still tired from yesterday1

Hi all-

A busy week so out of touch. Back here today.

So far a healthy day- vitamuffin for breakfast, apple w/ pb for snack, salad w/ turkey, tom. & avocado for lunch & for dinner- fresh trout , green beans. sweet potato, glass of wh. wine,  pistachios for snack

Had a not great start to the day- at the gym ,had a fast heart beat- something that has happened before & goes away on its own. But I thought it smart to stop exercising. It hasn't happened in awhile - usually I blame it on high humidity combined with exercise but that wasn't the case this time. Anyway, i'm not concerned but it did cut my exercise short.

Having our house painted so have to put up with the pressure washing, scraping etc but it needs to get done.

Enjoying this wonderful weather in the northeast- beautiful spring flowers & low humidity- lovely.
