Been living the lifestyle change journey of road signs...I am at this last one again, as I have NO OTHER choice.... I have seen people do this and keep successful..I believe I WILL be one of those people!!!!!! Patience & 1 day @ a time.......

I'm not going to gripe, complain or excuse myself from the poor choices I have made recently..... FORWARD in the straight & narrow right now.... It is indicative of the sign...Stay on the straight & narrow road of healthy choices & exercise..So simple in words... But, that is what it takes to get thinner... Staying straight on the path when those words are put into action gets results.....HEALTHIER = THINNER...No doubts....

I will be going to a Dr. appointment with my mom (dad too) Friday @ 10:00. Then have a CT scan of my head @ 11:30 a.m...They told me I will have results as early as evening or no later than Monday sometime... Trying to determine the reason(s) behind daily headaches/anxiety/irritability/etc.... Thinking previous head injury (concussion?) from October '08.


2 Eggs (home-laid) ,7 grain/flax Toast

 Light n Fit 60cal Yogurt

1/2 PBH Sandwich, Apple

Gazelle = 1 mile (12.44 minutes)

Yoga Ball = 15 minutes

Resistance Bike = 1 mile (5 minutes)

Going to try a daily regime of Gazelle,Ball, Bike & Walk to make between 45-60 minutes of different impact/speed exercise.

Walk = 1 mile

Turkey Breast Patty, Tossed Green Salad(Lettuce,Tomato,Cucumber,1/2 Avocado,Lite Ranch)

Mini Bag Popcorn (maybe)

H2o = 100-120oz.

Starting 100% fresh with numbers...Making sure to keep track of numbers I didn't the first time around. Measuring success isn't all in the poundage I have learned....

Your post is so true. I, too, am at a point from which I need to return to better choices. We sure aren't perfect, we aren't as great as we are GOING to be, but we aren't where we were a while ago, either! God bless you.

Slept most of the day away yesterday..... Got up @ 6:00 p.m.... Went back to bed @ midnight & slept til 11:00 this morning....  This cold has whooped me...... I feel better today though & we may go to my parent's to help organize their closet & do some pressing of clothes for the next 2-3 weeks church services for them.... Taking supper ingredients to fix some tasty tacos...I will make myself a taco salad minus the tortilla(s)....Suppose to be near 100 degrees today....Whew!!!!!!!!!!

Cold is running it's course and hopefully soon to be over with....Wheezing has set in of all things...Still went to music practice last night...When it wasn't my turn to play piano, I took off walking the parking lot.... My new shoes work so much better than the previous pair...Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!

Hubby & Ben have taken off to mow neighbor's lawns..Meg is fighting the cold thing too, so we are taking it easy together doing a bit of housecleaning between resting spells... Weather is suppose to be in the 90's and turn to thunderstorms early evening. Probably go outside to pull a few weeds before the muggish air hits....

Doing much better @ staying away from the refined sugars!!!!!

Feeling a bit better today and up much earlier to start my day.... The cold thing is nasty settling in the chest.....I will make this a good day!!!!!!!! No matter..........

Went to the Vacation Bible School registration last night ..Bypassed the chips, pop, etc.... Had a bag of popcorn! We went to ShopKo afterwards at Ben's request....He had $$$ burning in his pocket and just HAD to have a PS2 game that was on sale... I bought me a new pair of "walking" shoes... I didn't notice when I bought my Nikes a couple months back that they were "running" shoes...They hurt my feet badly by the time I take them off after walking and my back has been suffering as well.... I bought them in the "walking shoe" section, but didn't check the box before buying them..They state inside the heal "running" when I looked the other day... Pooeey!!! Anyway, I bought a pair of Avias and pray they treat my feet/back nicer....After supper, I jumped on the yoga ball and did a few things with the stretch band...30 minutes of workout...Meg did it with me...I need to get her a BIG ball..She was trying to do maneuvers with a little rubber ball...It was so cute!!!!!!!!! The family had McDonalds, but I bought myself a new watch, the shoes & socks instead of food.....Felt good for a change to treat myself to things I need, instead of eating so many calories that last in all the wrong ways....

Off to grocery shop in a bit........Have a good day!!!!!!

Haven't been doing too much today...Had a spell of tension headache on the top of my head and neck soreness from tension I guess.....Thus, came the feelings of anxiety....Whoosh! swept me away into a temporary world of thinking something seriously wrong was going to happen to me if I fell asleep... Finally dozed off about 3 a.m....Going to talk to the Dr. next time about the location of my h/a... Remember back last year when I got hit in the head by a 1x4X5 board being heaved from a roof of a building I was getting shipping boxes from?...Well, that is where my headaches center and intensely...Feel like a vice is slowly squeezing my whole head. I still have the contact info for the roofing company I reported to along with the pictures of my head being bruised AND the board itself....Anyway, got up @ 8:15 this morning to get some breakfast and felt tense all over...Still fighting off a nasty cold to boot, so I took some Ibuprofen and went back to bed....Here it was 3:00 p.m. before I crawled out of bed to stay up...Kids have been so good to allow me to rest....

Vacation Bible School kick-off BBQ tonight... Meg is excited to go..She got a new sassy haircut and was suprised when mommy let her get it cut so much shorter yesterday beofre going to see papa/maw.....Now, she wants to show it off...Typical woman...LOL...I don't have much time to get anything accomplished to make it look like I did anything around here today, so I best be getting a spiffy move-on & incorporate some energetic movement from the youngins to pitch in....

We had a wonderful time during our get-away...We hiked each day & walked the dogs each day as well...Probably about 3-4 miles combined... Hubby decided for us to stay an extra day....He came down with a cold the 3rd day and wanted to just relax instead of come home.... Now, Meg & I are trying to fight it off (boohiss).... Ben made it back home from California on Monday evening. Feels good to be a 4 person family together again.

Eating was so much better than prevoius camping trips...We ate cold cereal of a morning, sandwiches in the afternoon and soup of an evening..We did have some "goodies" to munch on occasionally, but all in all not the junk food our trips are usually accompanied with. Weather was in the 100's @ home while we were gone and it was in the upper 80's where we were...Now, it is back down in the upper 70's.... Just poured down rain a bit ago.....

4th if July is where I had the difficulties controlling my portions.. We BBQ'ed burgers/hot dogs ( I don't eat hot dogs) @ my dad/ mom's...Then @ my aunts she had BBQ'ed pork ribs & chicken breasts as well later on..We go up there to watch fireworks... She fixed chocolate cake,strawberry cobbler,lemon lush,potato salad... My cousins made cookie bars & apple snicker bar salad... SWEETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UGGGGGGGGG!!!!! I was hooked @ one bite and having touble staying away from sugary treats since..... Did good yesterday and doing good today....

Getting ready to go visit my parents...Ben is chomping @ the bit to see his papa & maw after being gone 2 weeks.... I have fixed supper to take & eat together...I'm not eating all the choices that I'm taking...No sugary dessert or pork ribs for me....

Been busy since Friday cleaning around the house (out & in), putting our truck together & taking loads to the dump, packing, shopping, ordering hubby new glasses, getting insurance & licenses bought & together for vehicles, taking the 4 doggies to the vet for shots/check-ups, nearly 6 hours of dog grooming, church potluck,business meeting, so on and so forth..... Had an icky attack one night late and couldn't shake it on my own..Went to bed after taking a tiny pill to settle the nerves (I hate this)....Been staying up WAY TOO LATE (3:45 a.m.  one night and 2:30 last night).....Eating has been satisfactory, but not appropriate for what is necessary to rid of poundage....DANGIT!

Now, I'm so happy to say that since making the extra $$$$$ & hubby being on vacation that we have been able to get a lot of little things done around the house since Friday that have sat for way too long and it feels SO GOOD to have them done.... It makes for one BIG "feel good goin' on".... Yay!!!!!!!

The photo above is a place that we haven't been to in about 4 years.... We are headed out tomorrow!!!!!!!! Gone til Thursday night.... It is in the Mount Rainier National Forrest (La Wis Wis)..I'm planning on relaxing, catching up on many magazine readings,strolling the grounds, sipping coffee/tea,dozing & skipping rocks in the water..... My house is in 85%order (my bedroom suffers), not a dirty dish to be found, etc & I'm almost as excited to come home to "order" as I am to go camping....Having the odds/ends tidied up in all areas (dump,dogs,etc) makes me feel so accomplished for a change...The Lord has been good to us and we rejoice that He allows us to get things done with His provisions & time we have as He sees fit....... For those of you who know what has been going on with me this last few months..This time away is so welcome, but having difficulties in shaking the guilt feelings of taking off and enjoying myself when my dad is suffering with loneliness & such is a bit overwhelming... Better thoughts of us needing this time to get away from the things that have been hangin overhead & in our hearts..This will do us some good to recharge & put things into focus.. That is what I'm  thinking about to keep me from just staying home....

We aren't taking junk foods with us!!!!!! :-) I am going to make it to goal one day.... I WILL!

Going back to bed didn't fair out too swell... Ben called @ 7:10 asking about a copy of our insurance card (never mentioned before now by anybody), even though we had filled out all the info on the registration form... Scanned the cards and got it e-mailed...Laid back down, then my dad called... I am up for good now...May snooze in the chair a bit later while catching up on magazine reading....

Blessings abound...1 reason dad called this morning is to ask how much my donkey figurine finally fetched on Ebay (I will tell you all it turned out to go for $1,176...Paid 25 cents @ an estate sale last summer)..The buyer has already paid for it too...Ahhhhhh..I have other itmes I've sold this week to add and plan on getting hubby some new glasses this Friday, scheduling the dogs appointments to get rabies shots & try our hardest to take off for a couple/few days next week with some of the money I've made...It has been a whirlwind week of watching the bids, let me tell ya...Yay!! To be able to make money this soon after quitting working in babysitting is amazing!!!!!! It already has allowed 3 months worth of my wages to be made in just 1 week.... Now, to hit the yard/garage/estate sales/thrift stores when able to to keep it going....

Made it through the finger-food buffet last night @ church..I took a tray of BBQ & a tray of Hot Wings, Summer Sausage, Cheese & Ritz ( I fix like I'm hosting -hahaha..Bad habit).... While preparing, I took a sliver of sausage & a sliver of cheese to taste...I planned on coming home to eat afterwards, but it was 8:45p.m. by the time the meeting was over and time to eat I wasn't feeling so good for it being several hours since eating my snack... I loaded up with strawberries, grapes, carrots, watermelon.. Then had 1 taquito,1/4 tortilla lunchmeat corn cream cheese wrap, 1/2 egg sandwich and 1 small cookie.... Went to sleep feeling good about the day. Proud of myself that I behaved, plus got a bit of walking in.... That is like icing on cake for me..

Today finds me thinking the house is too quiet and music will be put on to do housework by... May fit in a few twists n shouts while dusting/washing windows/vacuuming to burn extra calories & work on the trouble spots of mid-drift/hips/thighs/patoot (ha, thats almost all of me...LOL).. I'm looking for it to be a wonderful day!!!!

As for walking, I, too, have gotten lax...I've been doing a lot, just not having a 'walking routine' going, though.

do you use egg whites?? i do. so i guess u like my sandwich! if i make a small one, it's on one piece of regular wheat bread, 1/4 or 1/8th of a regular/large avocado (1/4 is more satisfying and what i usually use, and 1/4 cup eggwhite. so tasty. add a fruit and it can be filling. or a light yogurt. love this sandwich bc it has great fat, some protein, some carb.

hey thinn! you're doing well. as of late, i'm trying to ONLY have 1/4 or so avocado at a time (like per meal) i think i may have been overdoing it...lol. not sure though. it's soo healthy.

today this a$$hole cop/student in my class going to me "you shouldn't eat that avocado, it's VERY fattening!" F-ck him...i go "and it's one of the healthiest vegetables as well!" you can trust i will completely ignore his dumba$$ comment. LOL.

sorry for all the offensive language. but i had to. i couldn't believe his terrible advice. BTW, his diet is NOT healthy at all...

Another busy day to get through... Packing,fixing a finger food for a celebration @ church tonight & finding a spot for a Yard Sale item storage.. Starting with cleaning out my livingroom from all the baby/little kid items is on tap for this morning..... Mom's dr. appointment was cancelled @ the last minute and that has freed me up a bit more than I thought I would be for today...

Ended the day yesterday feeling good about the day... Walking with my kids & eating right was a great start to "getting with it"...

Watched the show "Ruby" last night and then saw a photo of a lady in our church from a few years back when she was way heavier than she is today..Seeing people that have had success helps me to want to be that kind of inspiration again.. They have inspired me just watching/seeing results when the work is put in required to see results in this journey... I gather inspiration from DD, don't get me wrong...It is just when you see a person before/after and not just read about it..Well, it just does something to my thought process.... Right now I'm so proud of those of you who have struggled lately and now when I come back after being MIA a bit see that you ARE making it... I am so excited for YOU...I have said and continue to say that I want this just as badly for others as I do myself..I cheer you on, no matter where I'm at in my journey or if I am here or not. Always know that!!!!

Was VERY good with the finger food choices @ church get-together...Filled up on the fresh fruits/veggies and had very little of "cooked"

Been very busy since last Thursday.... It will continue in prep for Ben's trip & going to another Dr. appointment with my parents tomorrow @ 11:00 a.m.... The visit last Friday made for a time dad could talk 1/1 with the Dr, while I stayed with mom in the waiting room a bit.. At first he wasn't convinced that any meds needed to be taken away...After he read the info I printed off with the interactions of ALL her meds (samples included) and dad told him how badly mom is becoming. When I came back into the room and he had those papers in hand..He looked @ me square in the eye & he changed his tune a bit in agreeing she no longer needs at least 1 med he prescribes.. Now, to get ther psychologist to agree to taking her off of the Cymbalta & Valproic Acid in a weaning off process... She no longer needs those for the original prescribed reason(s) with her current state of mind & the G.P. fully agreed that needs to be done to see if her progress of dementia/alzheimers may slow down a bit... She will be tested again on July 17th to determine the stage(s) she is in of which I honestly believe it will be a 5/6 given her lack of activity in initiating to do anything, having accidents, etc..... Asking people @ church what their name is & then asking me Friday if I was her daughter and asking how many years we had been together....Just a time I have to buck up and not really show emotion when those moments arise. Answering her honestly and no matter how many times.Keep my patience & unconditonal love... I will deal with the whole thing when the time comes, but for now...It is doing what I have to do and putting the sadness aside.... She is fine in her world sad to say...It is my dad who needs the support & help in preparing for the worst, but praying for the best when time comes she begins to question him and his relationship with her... 

Onto the subject of what I am going to do about my weight issues... I feel like a stinkin' broken record these days of "tomorrow I will's or wont's"... I am declaring this day a war on the size 18 muffin top, as the 20's are all gone from the closet. NEVER to spend another penny on a "20" either.... An ulitmatum has presented itself, especially with church clothes and has been set of 20 or get with it...I'll get with it, as I know I will feel so much better in mind & body when I am being healthy..I cannot let the hard work I have done so far be thrown out the window in the name of stress, sadness, who cares, etc....All those feelings will pass..No regrets is the name of the game right now...!!!!I need the strength that feeling good about myself brings and I'm worth it...... You are too!

Turkey Breast Patty,Lettuce,Tomato, 1/2 Avocado...Made a Yellow Mustard,Honey,Red Wine Vinegar mix to drizzle over.


3 mile walk ~ Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hot Cereal, Marionberries

H2o = 100-120oz.
