Howdee!....I jumped on the scale this morning (fearfully) to see how much damage control I would have to do this coming week after eating sodium laden foods Thur-Sat...and eating some non-home prepared ones as well, especially Wednesday/Saturday nights PLUS having "Auntie F" visiting....I tried to make sure to keep portion sizes at minimal and did eat fruit, yogurt & drank lots of water......Guess what?... I am the same...203!....So I am hoping that means actually I will drop below the 200 mark by the end of next week..As soon as I am done with fluid retention and detoxification of preservatives of all kinds....Whew what a relief

I have missed being home, my lil' doggies are so happy mom is home. My bird (cockatiel and actually Ben's bird) is just singing this morning and saying pretty bird, then kkkkkking..I missed my surroundings and the things I am used to...Everytime I would here a bird outside this last 3 days, I would think of "Zip" and could almost hear him in my head.....When I came home to get my clothes Friday night, Opie (dog) went and sat by the car door with his head tilted...He was waiting to "go"...I told him he couldn't go this time and he tilted his head the other direction and refused to move....I had to coax him back in the house...Anyway, I am just glad to be home, glad to still be at 203 (not glad to be there, but was looking to have at least skyrocketed to 208)....and now to catch up on DD.....I am off to the shower and church...Will read/comment later today.......Missed Ya!....Overcap of the Yard Sale was in Saturday update...

Glad you are back!!! All safe and sound, too!!!

Congratulations to you on staying the same...like you say, after all the extra salt, etc is gone, you should very soon be under 200! Yayyyy!!!

Have a happy day!

cybermom4 on 08/10/2008:
Good job at keeping at the same weight - I hope I can do the same - I'll be off my normal routine starting thursday so I'll do like you - drink lots of water, eat small portions and hope for the best :)

Horn_Of_Plenty on 08/10/2008:
wow! nice! cheers to being the same weight! i wish i could say that lol. but i must say, some indulgence, and I'm NOT talking OVERindulgence, is good for you. i indulged in moderation during the trip and even had a whole plate of fries with my sandwich the first day. but you do have to make sure to get nutritious foods in too bc of all their benefits.

and maria is right, 199 is not so far away!

maria777 on 08/10/2008:
You've worked hard...I don't blame you for wanting to stay away from possible temptation (stores) for a while... Maybe let Hubby take the kids shopping and Mom stay home and rest...

cybermom4 on 08/10/2008:
"Take the time, cause you are worth it! Nobody else can do it for you..." Awesome words of wisdom!! Thank you :)

maria777 on 08/10/2008:
Wise children you have (like their Mom), spending their money on school shoes...80 bucks for 2 pairs of shoes is fantastic! Did Mom get herself anything????

maria777 on 08/10/2008:
I added wrong...should have said 90 buck for 2 pairs of choes is fantastic! And it is!

&~&~&~&~&~&~&~OVERCAP FOR SATURDAY~&~&~&~&~&~&~&

It is now 9:05 p.m......Just getting in from packing up and read to eat a bite.....Would of been home ab hour ealrier, but grandma was hungry and fussin' that she didn't have anything good to eat for supper..I heard her mention KFC sounding good, so I snuck out and got her some..She felt bad. She WAS NOT happy that I did that at all!!!!I told her I wouldn't of done it if I wouldn't of WANTED to. She wound up calling me "brat, lil' booger & pill"...I hated leaving her alone after she has had so much going on and having people/family around for 3 days..She gets so lonely and I feel sad when I come home everytime...She stands at the door or on the porch blowing kisses and waving, but looking sad too..... Overall the sale went great....Total made was $1300 and some change..... My portion of that was $460 for both days....I came out making about $380 with taking out the ad money (we split the cost), gas money & giving the kids their portion. Gave hubby a little too.... They sold some toys/clothing and helped a bunch......It came a HORRIBLE storm @ 4:00 a.m. this morning..Good thing I did stay the night with grandma....I had to go out and cover some things...It was lightning (right above my head) and the thunder was ground shaking....I hurried, cause I was under a 100+ year old willow tree and kinda scared....I got soaked (housecoat, nightgown and hair) by the time I got back in the house....Cleared up about 7:30 a.m...The day became sunny & clear...Now just have to go back tomorrow to get the last 2 tables and items that are going to the St. Vincent DePaul store....I did slip to a couple other sales in the area this morning....Bought an antique wind-up westminster chime mantle clock for $1 (needed a key and I have several)and a depression glass cobalt blue hen on the nest for $2.....I didn't have this color yet.......Eating was behaved and now I am off to eat a chicken breast strip sandwich & fry..... So glad this sale is over..Had a great time and made lots of memories with my family...laughed til we cried at times and snapped when we were feeling extra tired, but then laughed til we cried again....Kept things lively for the buyers.....

Not sure when tomorrow I will post an entry..I play piano at church in the morning and plan on sleeping in as long as I possibly can....... Thanks for the comments and the well wishes.... Took 4 loads away from home (including some friend's things) and came home with about 1/4 load (donating another 1/4)......I consider it successful and THANK THE GOOD LORD for answering my prayer this morning, when I asked if it was His will to make the rain go away.....

~&~&~&~&~&~&~End of Overcap~&~&~&~&~&~&

It is 9:15 p.m. Friday...Had to clean church after heading home...NOW, headed back to grandma's...Ben wanted to stay the night with great-grandma, so that made Meg want to also....I am so pooped right now I don't want to argue about it...I am grabbing a quick bite of something (don't know what yet) for supper, then some jammies & fresh clothes for tomorrow... My grandma isn't doing so well with her health right now and it is best that I allow the kids to stay with her while she is still able to be at home.....Just couldn't leave BOTH kids alone with her tonight and will accomodate my grampa's old comfy bed with Meg..... Sale was medioker til about noon...It WAS thunder/lightning and POURING down rain all morning..... BOOHOO...Had a LAST minute weather revision I guess you could say... We made a little over $800 collectively and still have plenty to sell...My portion was about $300... Eating today was behaved...Had oatmeal, taco soup, melon salad, little bite of macaroni salad, yogurt/honey.....Still not sure what to eat now, but I know I am hungry....

I best get with getting my belongings and out of here...Will take a shower before going to bed...Won't need to be up as early in the morning.. But, can't really sleep in either...... Hope everyone had a good Friday......Keep Safe this weekend....Thanks for ALL THE WELL WISHES...WISH SOME MORE for Saturday to be sold out!

Well, it is 11:00 p.m. and I am getting ready to hit the hay... We have 14 tables FILLED ,plus things in boxes, on clothes racks, etc....You name it, it's in grandma's yard...PLUS, there are things there that people could never imagine ever existed I am sure....Did the ritual of my Aunt driving and making ME get out to staple signs everywhere @ dusk...She said laughing " You needed yer exercise today anyway right?"...Yes I did!.....I made sure to limit my portion to very little of whatever I ate most of the day....I sustained with the oatmeal breakfast until about 2:30 p.m. BUT, dinner(lunch) my Aunt made was a ham sandwich & macaroni salad (from a kit mix so of course sodium was outrageious- ouch!!!!), plus an M&M cookie..Like I said portion size wasn't big, just the added preservatives (sodium, msg, nitrates) in the foods I ate wasn't good at all...Late evening snack was a banana & Khashi Bar.....Then stopped to get a chicken sandwich and a fry on the way home @ 9:30 p.m. (kids were super hungry & I was a bit)..... I have my oatmeal in a container ready to go @ 5:00 a.m. in the morning. Got some bananas & nectarines, then my Aunt made a melon salad too.... I am making a big pot of taco soup (Lean Hamburger, NS Diced Tomatoes, NS Corn, LS Chickpeas, LS Kidney Beans, Sliced Olives & LS Taco Seasoning to taste) before going to bed for Friday dinner... Grandma pitted some apricots to make a pie and will make a skillet of cornbread to accomodate the soup......Steering clear of ham & macaroni salad..Stick with the fruits & lower sodium soup...My feet, legs and hands are pitifully swelled...Drank plenty water and then some....Will take a diuretic pill in the morning that is prescribed by the Dr. for occasional use........I am retaining even more than usual, cause of an unwanted visitor that plans on staying about 5 days........ Making a gallon of suntea, instead of drinking soda pop too.....I don't use sugar, but do use a little Splenda......Heat was about 98 degrees and a dry storm (lightning. thunder, no rain) on our way home...Friday is to be equally hot.....

Won't have time to read/comment until late Friday night when I get home from cleaning the church (hubby & kids are going to help me after we shut down the sale @ 4:30/5:00).....You are on my mind and in my heart no matter where I am or whatever I am doing (well not whatever maybe : 0 )...Eat better than I did Thursday..... Keep moving (it burns calories!) and have a terrific FRIDAY!!! Take Care!

Sounds like you have a very busy day planned today! Take good care of yourself! Give Grandma a hug for me!

Wednesday was a good day....Chinese Supper was good...I don't feel yucky/bloated this morning (usually do the next day after I eat it)... I did eat the whole order, but that is because it was already 1/2 the size it usually is..Fortune didn't make much sense...Got most things done I needed to yesterday.....Set-up what I could @ Grandma's last night and came home @ 12:15 a.m.... Wanted to get as much behind me as I could, so I could sleep in this morning & also can help put their (Aunt/Gma) things out today.I am such an OCDer on "getting it behind" and "off my mind" when I have tasks like this to do....Now tonight won't have to be so late for ALL of us.....At least one portion of that will pan out I guess....My phone ((((((*@%&$RANG*&%$@*))))) @ 6:10 this morning!!!!!!! It never does that unless it is my dad calling on my birthday or an EMERGENCY..... It was neither!....Someone thinking I would already be up (doesn't know that I have today off from watching Tayt & been preparing for a Yard Sale all week..)..... Wanted to come "visit & chat" this weekend..I think it is actually "I can get more child support, if I have daycare lined up"...which is fine, cause I have been wanting to figure out something to be able to watch these 2 boys and have it behoove the mother & myself in the financial department.....These boys are being tossed to/fro right now and need some stability.....

I will be hit/miss with DD this next 3 days...Not much to do for myself today, but have lots to help with and do my church cleaning before Sunday.......I have my aprons (carry-all pockets come in handy) & clothes washed this morning and now in the dryer...Oatmeal is cooling down....Fresh perked Pot-O-Java is like Baby Bear's porage was to Goldilocks....JUST RIGHT!..... I best get moving, so I can come home this evening and rest before the 4:30 a.m. alarm clock rings tomorrow morning.. Sale starts @ 6:30 a.m.....Y'all Come!....I miss you already! I will be good with my eating!...I will be good with my eating!...I will be good with my eating!...Oh Ya!.... My dad got a call yesterday from Arkansas kin that they were headed our direction. Should be here before the weekend is out...Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

You seem to be in better place these days. I really wish I had some coffee right now. Good work and good luck with the sale!!

Jen40 on 08/07/2008:
Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it, read it several times and am reflecting on it today. I think I shall stop mentioning my diet to hubby and just not expect something from him he isn't going to give; if he wants to say something nice on his own or ask, he will, right? I hope someday I can remember so many details about all the other DD members too! You've got a great memory there! But that things usually only stick with people like that when their care and concern is genuine~ like yours! You're so sweet.

Jen40 on 08/07/2008:
Lol, that isn't supposed to come off sounding like my own care and concern ISN'T genuine... rofl!!! I just mean it will take me some time to get to know everyone.

abdab74 on 08/07/2008:
I'm glad you seem in better spirits lately. Don't burn out over these next few busy days!

selina on 08/07/2008:
Hi Thin! Glad to see you are having a great day!

yard sale are fun.... : ) hope it goes well.... : )

maria777 on 08/07/2008:
Yeah, I think I'm agonna head on up ther, too! I want to plunder through all y'all's yard sales stuff and see what I can find and I want some of that conrbread and fried taters and beans!!! And iced sweet tea...do y'all got some of that, too? How much is it sellin' fer??? (Smile!)

Wow...what an exciting time...you make it sound like so much fun to have a yard sale...which I've had many and and the one time I can recall having a good time at one was when a sister of the church and I had one together at her home and she fixed homemade veggie soup and homemade cornbread and we had some of that while we were selling things to help raise money for missions at church. It was a wonderful time!

Take care and get some rest!!! We'll be thinking about you, Jerri and your family!!! Big smile to you!

This piture reminds me of how my walls used to be....I collect old wind up clocks and USED to have them (about 12 of them) all hanging on the walls..Wound up all the time and most striking upon the half and whole hour....Painted the living room 8 months ago and haven't put but 2 back up....and have 2 in our bedroom...I love the sound of the ticking/striking, but I was raised around a g'ma that has well over 300 clocks and it is natural sounding to me...Drives most people nuts!

Good Day everybody.....I am rummy and need to get moving....Bed @ 2:30 a.m. and up @ 6:30 a.m.....Plan was to go to bed no later than 10:30 p.m., but it didn't work out that way. The neighbor lady who stays up all night, then sleeps til 1:00 p.m. called @ 9:45p.m. and was raring to pay her bills online that she was WAY overdue on... She doesn't know how to use a computer, so I drove up there and talked her out of doing ANYTHING financial online (she is very vulnerable).....I'll tell you no matter how much the elderly are warned against NOT letting ANYBODY deal with their finances and NOT giving ANYBODY any idea HOW MUCH money you have..They just don't listen!.... I could of ripped her blind last night had I been the least bit the type of person to take advantage AND get away with it.... GEEZE LOUEEZE!.....Going to talk to another neighbor within the week to see if we can talk to her and maybe get her situated with some payments being made.... She doesn't expect me to drop everything I am doing to "bail her out" of her mess of "overdues", but I hate to see it happen....I did tell her that I was busy for the rest of the week and she said she knew that and totally understood....Her husband did EVERYTHING for her before he became unable to, then passed away..She hadn't put gas in a car for over 25 years, until a couple months ago and hadn't driven but maybe 6 times in the last 15 years...He took her to the grocery store, hair dresser's & supper EVERY Thursday. That is all that she got out of the house...She has fibromyalgia and a few other ailments. She is a lot like my mom in the self-medicating department....Gets on painkillers & nerve medication.....Buys everything under the sun from QVC & HSN (that's why she stays up all night).... I talked to her about that in full detail too! TO STOP IT!!!!!! NO family that is worth a hoot to mindfully help her, due to drugs & alcohol......Don't want to get stuck in the middle either.....I have said enough, but needed to get it out of my system......

I am headed to Meg's room to put back all the things I am keeping and need to price all the goodies I took out while she was sleeping (shhhhhhhh!) She gell asleep on my side of the bed last night while I was gone, so I took advantage of her not being in her room.... She won't notice the stuff gone til she sees them Friday with a price tag on them and will realize that neatness in this instance means potential $$$$$.....I did have some old linens and stuff of mine in her closet and am pricing those too.....I have eaten a robust breakfast, but need the energy...NOT relying on COFFEE to get me through the day.....Will take a 30 minute rest when Tayt takes his 11:30 a.m. nap....Best get going so I can have my to-do list getting checked off up til that time....I have another 1.5 hours of quiet time before the kids wake up (hopefully they sleep in) and Tayt gets here.....Have a wonderful Wednesday my friends...Be constructive & productive...It burns calories AND it feels good!!!!!!

Breakfast ~ 2 Eggs (140) Whole Wheat English Muffin (130) Donald Duck O.J. (120) sm. Banana (80) COffee (0) 470

It is 11:30 a.m...I stopped to take a break, not eating snack though..Too much breakfast...I just used my LAST string ticket.... ****UGH****SIGH****OH NO****DARNIT****BUMMER****POOP****..I don't like putting stickers on a lot of things. They just fall off, leaving a sticky residue and people ask "how much is this and how much is that?". May give in & get some more stringers...96 degrees today with a real feel of like 101....****UGH****SIGH****OH NO****DARNIT****BUMMER****POOP**** (sorry to be repetitious BUT I don't have A/C in my car).....

Dinner ~ Tortilla with Turkey (220) Khashi (140)830

Snack ~ 2 pieces Bread w/ Smart Balance (280) 1110

Now 6:10 p.m....Mickey is picking Ben up for a church youth activity (popscicles in the park).....Hubby and I are going to Gma's house to haul boxes & tables...Come back to finish up loading, then we are done til tomorrow's set-up..... I need to do my custodial job sometime too......Didn't take the time to go get string tags...Made some of my own instead....I am about out of steam, instead of messing up the kitchen and having to fix supper amongst running around, I ordered Chinese food...I will not eat it all..... I have been craving it and figured if I was going to eat any, might as well be NOW...I have feared it and felt it coming this last couple days...GRRRRRRRRR!!!!! Today of ALL days! Ladies you GET MY POINT!!!! Of course it couldn't of been when I can sit and rest, but when I am busiest of all....THIS WEEKEND????????.....GRRRRRRR!!!!

Supper ~ Chinese Take-Out....Please give me a good fortune Confusious!

Hahahaha, I can laugh at my own grumpiness, but i really really want to see results soon. i have been fantastic, look at my latest menus! i hope in a couple more days i can see at least 173 on the scale. I am also anxious, and I need to relax. I am going to dance class tonight and i am sure it will help.

You're too sweet to help your neighbor, it's crazy how people rely on others and get lost when they can no longer have that help. i am sure her belated husband thought he was helping her, but now she is so dependent, must have been even harder to go through her loss....

omahagrl on 08/06/2008:
Sorry I have not written much but I do read your entries. Great job with keeping busy and helping your neighbor. MJ and I worry so much about his dad not checking out people before trusting them. He still thinks everyone is good like during his youth but unfortunatly there are bad people around. Have a good day!

maria777 on 08/06/2008:
Wow...I see that I wasn't the only 'night owl' last nite....only I was online for hours trying to downsize the animation gif of my Sister and each time I would do it, it would not 'save' that size...I finally went to bed around 3 am this morning...

Take care of yourself...don't over do! SMILE!!!

maria777 on 08/06/2008:
PS...you are not the only one that grew up around clocks...my Grandma had them, too and she even went around with a big ben ticking in her apron pocket cause she didn't like watches...she left her very old, still working, beautiful mantle type clock to me and I have it in my dining room. At one time I had about 12 cuckoo clocks and I had them on both sides of the bed and Hubby and I were so used to them that we slept through their hourly cuckoos, blue danube music, etc...and only really noticed them when we had company whom would hear them and mention them to us...eventually I sold them...only later to buy two battery-powered cuckoo clocks which we still have...one in the living room and one in the kitchen.

maria777 on 08/06/2008:
Okay...go for it!!! (hehehehehe!!!)

Really...have fun with your family and enjoy that cornbread and all...my Grandma used to make THE BEST cornbread when I was growing up (we lived next door to her) and I remember putting margerine or butter on it and eating it....ooooooogh!!! SOOOOO GOOOOOD!!!

maria777 on 08/06/2008:
My Grandma LOVED her buttermilk...not me...I was not much of a milk-drinker growing up, unless it was chocolate milk which I occassionally drank...but Grandma would have sticks of margerine/andor/butter in her little fridge (a one door little white fridge that was rounded on the corners, the kind that had to be defrosted from time to time and that had a very small ice tray compartment) and she would fix us a piece of cornbread shaped like a piece of pie from the round cornbread she baked in her oven and we would put margerine/or/butter in the middle of the pieces of cornbread while it was still warm from being in the oven....oooooogh...sooooo goooood! Also, my Mom always cooked lots of 'FRIED TATERS', too...I almost burned the house down one time cooking fried taters when I was growing up...I was home alone, cooking them and forgot about the pan of taters while watching a soap (don't watch soaps now, though) on tv...had to run next door to Grandma's and grab her L-O-N-G water hose that she watered her veggie and flower gardens with and her chickens in the big chicken house and turn it on and run with it over to our house next door and let the kitchen hold it cause the fire was from the pan (even though I'd tried to put it out) on the stove clear up to the CEILING!!! Thank the Lord, the fire was put out! I know you don't have time to be reading all this stuff as busy as you are but I've keyed it now...so...anyway...have a nice afternoon!!!

loveray on 08/06/2008:

Yep, that's about the way it is...as it is with LOTS of other activities as well...but we just be thankful to the Lord for all His provisions (I know you are, too)...and try not to overdo it....

Monday was a great day....Got so many things accomplished and they were all constructive. So I can see the results everytime I look into my bedroom/"catch all room"/hallway.....I am SOOO relieved for the first time in a VERY LONG time...I spell relief not R-O-L-A-I-D-S..but, O-R-G-A-N-I-Z-E....YAY!!!!!!!!! Now the kids are on a roll, cause they are so impressed with momma following through for a change and finishing what she has started (over and over again, but never finished..) I always tell my husband that I can ALWAYS seem to get a good start, but never have a good finish........For I am having to go back and do over where I started before being able to finish 100%....It does help now that the kids are older and I only have 1 child to babysit (that take 3-4 hour naps), instead of having 4-5 kids 10-12 hours a day.....My house has never been filthy, just unorganized, scattered and well lived in/used...Now everything is going to have it's place and penalties offered for those offenders of not recognizing the new schematics and resorting to old habits (me included)...Rooms won't be cluttered again, cause I won't have anything to clutter it with...I can look at the $$$$ in my pocket on Saturday night and say to myself "good job Jer"..Now pray we don't have a "flopped sale"

I went to bed @ 2 a.m., but didn't fall asleep until around 3:00 a.m. this morning. That tells you in getting up @ 7:30 a.m. I DID NOT get my RDA of sleep....Drinking a cup of coffee, mentally planning my attack of the day.......Need to pack the car this morning and set out something to fix for supper.Didn't put up green beans yesterday.. Those WILL get done A.S.A.P. today.... I stepped on the scale this morning and I am holding @ 203....I did not walk yesterday, but know that I burned as many calories or close to it in only sitting down to eat or update DD....More of the same today in not sitting down. May walk just a couple miles late evening to wind-down and sleep better tonight...

Breakfast ~ Oatmeal (110) Fresh Blackberries (25) Brown Sugar (10) 1/2 Banana (45) Coffee ~ Probably too much of it too (0) I call this oatmeal concoction my "faux blackberry cobbler" 190

Snack ~ Toasted Sourdough English Muffin (140) Apricot All-Fruit Spread (20) I am eating a super late breakfast (10:00 a.m.), so I combined breakfast & A.M. snack, cause I WAS hungry... 350

Lettuce (25) Tomato (25) Cucumber (15) Tuna (75) Lite Ranch Dressing (45) 1 sl. Bread (70) All-Fruit (10) 615

Boxes loaded in the wagon...Eating lunch, then taking Tayt home @ 3 p.m.....Having to choke down the Romaine Lettuce in my salad ( I don't like it, but am trying to learn to)..Getting a bit tired, but will reserve sleeping for tonight....Someone who is putting a few things in the sale is following me to g'mas....But, maybe I'll stop and get an iced S.F. F.F. latte or 32 oz. iced tea (probably this) on my way anyways......I keep telling myself I deserve it~....I've been working hard!

Snack ~ WW Yogurt (100) Honey (45) 760

#2 ~ MickeyD's 50 cent Soft-Serve (150) 910 ~ Couldn't resist it on the way home.....It is still 92 degrees outside & it is 6:30 p.m.....Bought myself an iced S.F. coffee and Ben didn't want the ice cream I bought him (I ordered it without asking him and that was my fault)..Turned the corner and dumped the coffee (all, but maybe 1/4 of it), so I ate Ben's ice cream cone...He got fries instead... I ate ONE dipped in ice cream (a total weakness of mine)......Put what was left of the coffee in the fridge for hubby....O.K. now back to doing more cleaning and fixing supper....Have to go get Ben @ 8:30 from band practice......Then I am calling it a day....

Hey, yeah, i hate that i have to mention TOM now. I was taking birth control nonstop so i wouldnt get my period (with my GYN's blessings, of course). my periods are usually too long and i feel really bad, they last over 8 days. So, she told me to use a new birth control pill that you get your period 4 times a year. I'm letting TOM come now after my last pills were over and then giving that new one a try.

I love the feeling of being organized. I have been doing a lot of that this summer, and I think I also inspired my son. I went in his room last night and it was, get this, CLEAN. I mean, the kid is 15, he hasn't cleaned his room in years! very impressive!

Sunday was a good day.... Went to church... Came home, ate dinner, did some laundry folding... As I was folding and finished putting things away, I realized how welcoming that bed REALLY looked.... Laid down @ 3 p.m. and woke up @ 6:00 p.m.....(***GASP***)... Set out for a 6 mile walk @ 6:30 pm.... Went without the family, but did go with someone else.... It was o.k... I think that Sunday walks with this person are just enough to keep in casual conversation and up to date, but not too much or in detail..... Perfect!...Came home to eat a late supper, but kept it pretty light... Got in the fridge to put something back and the honey jar fell out onto the top of my foot (OUCH!)...Have a big black/blue mark and it is sore..... Then I got in the freezer to get some ice and the new tub of ice cream fell out, just shy of missing my foot..... I stayed away from the fridge for the rest of the night......

Today I am putting up another canner worth of green beans (9 pints)..Hubby picked, cleaned & snapped them yesterday...I picked my first 2 big tomatoes (Early Girls).... Peas are done!... I will make sure to save out enough green beans to have a mess for supper with some fresh corn-on-the-cob (from fruit stand)..... I have plenty of other things to keep me busy as well today....Ahhhhhh!...Eating was a bit speratic this weekend, but today is a new week's start, one day at a time....

Been working pretty much non-stop...Phone range and it was the neighbor wanting to know how to pay bills online....SUppose to call me when she gets back from town, so I can go help her...Actually try to strongly discourage her from doing it..She is elderly and DOES NOT need to be getting account numbers out there in cyberspace by accidentally forgetting to logoff or receiving bogus e-mails to verify account numbers...I have a feeling this would become a task I would be doing and don't really want to become in someone elses business that is not family...Will go talk with her at least...Need to get so much more done, but will take advatage and walk the round trip of 3 miles....Look for it to be a late night....At least my bedroom is cleaned, bed is made, new glade white tea & lily Plug-In brewing....Bed will feel good tonight!...Not sure what to fix for supper yet either...Bummer!

Neighbor never called and it is now 8:30 p.m....I am headed to my little "catch all" room to organize/sort/price/box up....Didn't walk, but have kept busy all day and haven't really sat down, but to eat or update DD......Will eat my popcorn about 9:00 p.m. when hubby is ready to settle in with me..He is doing dishes..Meg is brushing/flossing her teeth. She cleaned her room and is heading to play a little Mario Kart....Ben is doing his cleaning/organizing/sorting/pricing.. He got the fever when he saw how nice/clean mom & dad' bedroom was FINALLY...It has been probably a good 2-3 years since it has been so nice.I even dumped out & freshened up our dresser drawers..Refolding everything and matching my sheet sets with pillow cases...Neve have been good at matching them up.....Yep it has been 2-3 years....Ridiculous! I'm ashamed of myself in the poor housekeeping. Just as I was ashamed of allowing myself get to 237.......NO MORE! All new fresh starts in & out! Goodnight and sleep tight!

I hope your foot is better today....look out for the honey and ice cream for sure! I need to clean out my fridge and make more room as well...I had something almost fall out of my fridge this morning and just did catch it!!!

Sounds like you had a real nice nap yesterday....yayyy! Refreshing!!!

Is it a lot of work to put up beans? I think they are so pretty in their jars and then you have them in the wintertime when they are so expensive (fresh) in the stores and you can have some of them and enjoy that they are still fresh and real, real good to eat. Do you have shelves you put yours on to look at? If I put them up (or other things in jars, too), I think I'd want them out to look at! That is really nice that your Hubby helped you by picking them and preparing them for you to put up in jars.

I always love corn on the cob!!! I tried putting up some in the freezer recently and it did NOT turn out well at all...I looked up on the internet and it said blanche them which I did and when I went to take them out and fix them to eat, they were SOGGY!!! Not fresh, just soggy. So I am thinking, wonder if it would be okay to just wash them off and put them in freezer bags instead of blanching them first and then put them up in the freezer?

Thank you for your words of encouragement :) I did feel better when I got up this morning and got ready to go walk/jog with my friend. The scale had me at 167.6 (I'll weigh in next Sunday morning) and you are right, my clothes are fitting me better than before. My legs are getting stronger and overall, my body is taking on a new shape. You have such a positive attitude - you're so active and productive and you took time to share with me - thank you again :) Everytime I think of the scale, I'll just take a look in the mirror and say - 'you're doing O.K. just keep at it! Don't give up. "

Saturday was a good day....Got the closet cleaned out, totes organized and put into the closet...NO MORE CARDBOARD BOXES!!!!! YA!....Cleaned the church & took a 5 mile walk as a family....Been keeping our eye on the wild blackberries on one of the paths we take....We picked about 3 cupsful last night and I had some in my oatmeal this morning....... Fell asleep in the recliner last night and now my shoulders/back are messed up..Hubby didn't make me go to bed, just covered me up and let me be...I don't like being woke up and he is a very smart man!...Will take the better part of the day to get unkinked, but will get some more things done...Yard Sale is this coming Fri/Sat...Looked at the forecast and it is suppose to be just shy of 100 degrees starting Wednesday and continuing for who knows how many days....EEEKKK!! I have to take my stuff to my G'ma's house...It is a 26 mile round trip..Have to take 8-9 tables from church sometime....I best get all my sorting/pricing done, so I can get most of it over there by Tuesday night and not have to worry about the nasty heat so much....Church function ("popscicles in the park") is on Wednesday night and I took Thursday off work to finish preparations...Today and Monday is it for getting the most done....Our Sales are fun and we get compliments on having nice items, good prices and not a bunch of dirty junk....My Aunt has been having troubles with her back and her grandson has been very sick, so she has a lot to get done. Plus she helped G'ma price some of her things yesterday...So we should have a pretty good sale......I won't say anymore about it til it is over!

Getting ready to go to church...Need to get my hair done and find something to wear....Weather this morning is wonderful...Doors are open...Suppose to be in the lower 80's..Birds chirping (even my cockatiel in the house is singing, saying pretty bird & whistling when he here's the ones outside), sprinklers going, fresh mowed grass yesterday (Thank's Ben), slight hints of fall in the air (that will not be the case starting Wed. will it?)...Just a very pleasant morning, which makes for a good start to the day...Just being able to utilize the senses and walk/move is enough to make one joyous!

Today is better already...Got up fairly early for the weekend...Took Ben to a couple Yard Sales. Now home to finish going through closets and cleaning before going to do my custodial job....I am finding things in the closet from when Ben was a little boy and reminissing with him has been fun...Found his old cowboy hat that he WOULD NOT go anywhere without when he was 2-3 years old.....Diecast cars he played with...Those things will be kept, but better stored with the method I have went to and going in the basement....What did I ever do without color coded lid totes????? Oh, Ya! The cardboard boxes that you couldn't see through....

Best get with my working so I can feel so much better when I go to bed in my clean bedroom tonight...PLUS, I went to the thrift store last night and found a beautiful vintage butter yellow chenille bedspread that I am washing to put on the bed....I have only ever had the cream or white...Shall surely brighten the room.....Need to do another canner of green beans hubby has picked AND walk sometime today too

I'm lagging today........Need to go get some work done and still need to figure out when I am going to make the time to do my custodial job...Headed to a few Yard Sales this morning...Bought a few pieces of clothing for Meg and I, but hubby found th treasures before I got to the table he found them at..... GRRRRRRRRRR.......I LIKE GOING BY MYSELF is what I am going to say...He goes the opposite direction than I to look, so he finds things before I can even know they are there....GRRRRRRR....I wish I could be everywhere at once!....We both sell on Ebay (seperate accounts) and he is getting into selling things I do, but doesn't REALLY know how to list them..... He sells hotwheels/diecast and goes shopping for them EVERYDAY, but I DON'T GO WITH HIM to find the good stuff before he can....GRRRRRRR....Just venting, but been quiet since he bought things that I would of and I put the money I make into my account to keep for a rainy day...He buys coffee/donuts/junk, then complains about not having anything but lint in his pocket when he NEEDS something.......Nuff griping...I love him, but just frustrates me sometimes.... That's normal, as I know I frustrate him at times too.... Equal partnership there... : - )

Breakfast ~ Oatmeal with 1 tsp. brown sugar & 1 piece bread...No Coffee (not a good start to the day)

Snack ~ Hummus with a few Tortilla Chips (too much) & Banana

Lunch ~ Turkey Sandwich & Khashi Trail Mix Bar....2 cans Diet W.C. Pepsi

Snack ~ Iced Tea (Splendad) & a handful of Roasted Soy Nuts

Supper ~ Homemade Pizza on Flourless Tortilla..Loaded with fresh tomato, few Olives, Skim Mozarella, Canadian Bacon and topped with Shredded Lettuce and more tomato when done cooking...(BLT Pizza)

Lite Ice Cream

Tomorrow's eating will be WAY better than today's was..It was such an "off day" for me and I am having a horrible case of the PMSer's munchies...!

I did get on old bakelite bracelet for 50 cents today that the likeness of the same on Ebay go for $20-$24, but what hubby got was some old bakelite RED handled serving utensils for 10 cents each and they go for $40 each sometimes.......I do have a couple other things that I have had for a month or so (1968 Buddy L diecast Grillmaster BBQ still in original box~ pd. $4.99 @ thrift store ~ never been used with the directions included) & an old Singer portable sewing machine still in the carry-all box (Yard Sale find for $5 ~ have seen some go for $200+ ) I am sitting on these 2 things until I can find more information to know how to list them and get the best $$$$$....

i've been thinking how unhealthy my diet has gotten. i totally rely on nutritional bars and eat at least 3 per day! i want to get back to a more natural diet without all the additives. so, that's my supposed plan for august. :) if i can manage to work on it, that would be a very good thing.
