This is NOT spam, I'm a long time member of this forum.
I decided to write a post here because I was reading many members struggling with exercise, so here's a suggestion.
First of all an important side note, I am NOT working for or benefit from supporting any of these businesses, it's just something I tried and worked for me and I see it working for many others so I thought to share as it might help some of you.
With many in-person events being cancelled for the remainder of 2021, most of these events have now turned into virtual challenges.
These virtual challenges provide a way for people to be rewarded for their training efforts by completing a given distance on their own by their own pace (each person decides the timeline and can change it anytime) and exercise type (you can walk, run, ride the bike, hit the gym, do home yoga, anything exercise-related activity counts) and receiving commemorative medals and/or shirts in the mail to mark the occasion.
When one signs up for some cool themed challenge, a tracking app comes with it with progress charts and motivational parts (virtual postcards, possibility to join to teams all over the world).
And they offer a good community support, most of these challenges have exclusive groups here on Facebook or somewhere else, where the participants can team up, share questions, progress and seek motivation / positive reassurance.
Here's a screenshot of the challenge I'm doing right now. It's a Conqueror Challenge event, where over the course of 46 miles (75 km) I virtually visit Egypt's tourist spots, receive virtual postcards and at the end I'm going to get a very cool medal mailed to my home address. I am going to post the link of this one, but there are many others you can search simply in Google by typing in "virtual challenges with medals".
